The mouthpiece (14) comprises at least one filter segment (18, 20) and a substantially transparent tubular segment (22) defining an empty cavity extending substantially longitudinally through the substantially transparent tubular segment (22), wherein aerosol passing through the empty cavity during use of the aerosol-generating article (10; 100) is visible from the exterior of the aerosol-generating article (10; 100) through the substantially transparent tubular segment (22).
SMOKING ARTICLE WITH OVER-TIPPING BAND
There is provided a smoking article (100) comprising a wrapped rod of smokable material (101);and a filter (102) comprising one or more filter segments(103), wherein the filter is in axial alignment with the wrapped rod of smokable material (101) and abuts the wrapped rod of smokable material (101) at an interface(105). A tipping wrapper (106) circumscribes at least a portion of the filter (102) and attaches the filter (102) to the wrapped rod of smokable material )101). The smoking article (100) further comprises an over-tipping band (107) circumscribing the filter (102) and overlying the tipping wrapper (106) at the upstream end of the filter (102) such that the over-tipping band (107) overlies the interface (105) between the wrapped rod of smokable material and the filter. The over-tipping band (107) is formed of an air impermeable sheet of a non-paper cellulosic material obtained by processing cellulose to form regenerated cellulose fibres.
ELONGATED SMOKING ARTICLE
The present invention relates to an elongated smoking article (100) (100) that extends in a longitudinal direction (L) and comprises a cylindrical smoking body (10) with a combustible material (11) that is surrounded by a wrapping paper (12). The smoking article (100) further comprises a filter element (20) that is configured to reduce substances from combustion gases drawn through the filter element (20) from the burning smoking body (10). A first base area of the filter element faces a base area of the smoking body (10) and a second base area (26) is an open base area. A tipping paper (30) is circumscribing the smoking body (10) and the filter element (20) and is attached to external surfaces (13, 21) of the smoking body (10 and the filter element (20). According to the invention, a flavoring (80) is disposed in or on the tipping paper (30) spaced apart from the second base (26) area in the longitudinal direction and with a distribution that varies in a longitudinal direction (L) of the tipping paper (30), such that the amount and/or type of flavoring (80) contacting a smoker's lips (90) depends on a translational state of the elongated smoking article (100) with respect to the longitudinal direction (L).
MOUTHPIECE AND AN ARTICLE FOR USE IN AN AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
A mouthpiece for an article for use in an aerosol provision system. The mouthpiece can have a section having a longitudinal axis and a cross sectional area measured perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis, the section including a fibrous material having a total denier of between 300 and 500 grams/9000 m per mm2 of said cross sectional area. The section can additionally or alternatively have a fibrous material having a total denier of between 200 and 600 grams/9000 m per mm2 of said cross sectional area and at least one of more than 75 fibers per mm2 of said cross sectional area and a denier per filament of less than 9.0 grams/9000 m. A section of fibrous material can have a denier per filament of less than 5.0 grams/9000 m and a capsule embedded within the fibrous material, wherein the section has an outer circumference of less than 21 mm.
Aerosol generating system with multiple inductor coils
An aerosol-generating device is provided, including a housing having a chamber configured to receive at least a portion of an aerosol-forming article; a first coil disposed at least partially around, or adjacent to, the chamber; and a second coil disposed at least partially around, or adjacent to, the chamber, the first coil being part of a first resonant circuit having a first resonant frequency and the second coil forming part of a second resonant circuit having a second resonant frequency.
SMOKING ARTICLE
A smoking article is described in which the smoking article comprises tobacco material wrapped in a paper wrapper to form a tobacco rod, and wherein the paper wrapper has a diffusivity of between about 0.1 cm/s and 0.5 cm/s and a permeability of less than about 15 CU, and a method of manufacturing the smoking article is described.
Aerosol Generating Device
An aerosol generating article includes a shell that extends along a first axis; a material part disposed inside the shell, wherein the material part includes a substrate for generating an aerosol and one or more inductively heatable susceptors for heating the substrate; and a conductive loop that is spaced from the material part along the first axis and is configured to produce, when in the presence of an oscillating magnetic field aligned substantially along the first axis, a reverse magnetic field aligned oppositely to the oscillating magnetic field.
AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLES COMPRISING ORGANIC ACIDS
An aerosol generating article includes a first portion including an organic acid, a second portion including a nicotine freebase, a third portion including a cooling material, and a fourth portion including a filter material, wherein a nicotine salt is generated through an acid-base reaction of the organic acid and nicotine freebase that are vaporized by heating.
