Positioning system
A positioning system moves an object in two generally orthogonal directions using a rotationally adjustable bearing system that connects the object to two pairs of non-parallel rails, the bearing system permitting the object to be smoothly translated in one or two directions to a desired position in planar space. This translation is performed smoothly notwithstanding a lack of parallelism between the linear rails.
CROSS-COUPLING CONTROL METHOD FOR MOVING BEAM OF GANTRY MACHINE TOOL
A cross-coupling control method for moving beam of gantry machine tool is disclosed, which relates to the technical field of CNC machine tool control. The cross-coupling control method includes: Step 1: establishing a crossbeam dynamics model considering a ram on the crossbeam, and at the same time simplifying the model for an observer design; step 2: realizing a PID control parameter adjustment of motors at both ends in accordance with a method of parameter tuning of a unilateral servo control system; using a servo system with the same control parameters to jointly drive the crossbeam up and down, realizing the synchronous control and realizing PID control parameter tuning for both end motors. The disclosure not only reduces the synchronization error caused by the torsion of the crossbeam, but also solves the synchronization error caused by the asymmetric load on both sides, and improves the system robustness and stability.
Machine tool
A machine tool includes a bed including a bottom surface and legs arranged at three positions of the bottom surface. The bed includes two oblique sides arranged such that the bottom surface has a triangular shape. The machine tool also includes a first support surface arranged on the bed and extending along a substantially horizontal first axis, a work table supported by the first support surface so as to move along the first axis, a second support surface arranged on the bed and extending along a substantially horizontal second axis, which is perpendicular to the first axis, and a machining unit supported by the second support surface so as to move along the second axis. The second support surface is located higher than the first support surface.
A MACHINING DEVICE FOR MACHINING A WORKPIECE AND A METHOD THEREOF
A machining device is provided. The machining device includes a trunnion table adapted to hold a workpiece and arranged to pivot around a pivot axis using a pivoting motor. The pivot axis is parallel to a horizontal plane. A spindle is adapted to hold a cutting tool directed upwards and arranged to be moved in a plane parallel to the horizontal plane by a spindle transporting device. A trunnion table transporting device is adapted to vertically transport the trunnion table towards and away from the cutting tool, such that in a cutting state, chips cut from the workpiece are removed from the workpiece by gravity.
Metrology system for positioning assemblies
A method and apparatus for maintaining a selected configuration for a structure. Metrology data for a support system is received while the support system holds the structure. A determination is made as to whether a current configuration of the structure is within selected tolerances of the selected configuration for the structure based on the metrology data. The support system is moved to move the structure held by the support system into the selected configuration in response to a determination that the current configuration of the structure is not within the selected tolerances of the selected configuration for the structure.

The second support surface is located higher than the first support surface.
Dental Machining Unit Comprising A Milling Chamber
The invention relates to a dental machining unit (1) having a milling chamber (10), wherein the workpiece arm (22) passes through a movement flange (24) at which the workpiece arm (22) passes through a passage wall (25) of the milling chamber (10), and that the passage wall (25) comprises a membrane (26) which permits movement of the workpiece arm (22) in at least two spatial directions and consists of a highly elastic material and particularly comprises corrugations (28).
WORKTOP JIG
A worktop jig comprising a jig frame, wherein the jig frame comprises a pair of opposed end members and a pair of opposed side members; the opposed end members and the opposed side members together define a rectangular aperture within the jig frame; the opposed end members and the opposed side members each define an upwardly facing surface and the upwardly facing surfaces are arranged to lie in a common plane; and each of the opposed side members defines a downwardly facing surface, wherein each side member downwardly facing surface carries an angled elongate base element, whereby when the angled base elements of the worktop jig are located on a planar substrate, the common plane of the jig frame is angled with respect to the plane of the substrate
Methods and apparatus for construction of machine tools
Cement or other liquid-like material fills the hollow tubes of a machine tool under construction. The machine tool structures are held rigidly against a fixture while the substance dries. The machine tool so constructed is relatively lightweight and rigid, and obviates the need for precision machining of large portions of the apparatus.
Machining center
An upright machining center is characterized in being provided with: x-axis guides for moving and guiding a table in the left-right direction on a bed; a column provided on the bed and provided with an opening that straddles the x-axis guides in the front-back direction so that a moving body, on which the table is provided, can enter therein in the left-right direction; a saddle, which is disposed on the upper part of the column so as to be movable in the front-back direction and for which a first y-axis guide that extends in the front-back direction on the right side of the left-right direction and a left second y-axis guide that is located lower and parallel thereto are provided; and a main shaft head, which is disposed on the left side surface of the saddle and moves in the vertical direction.
