A movable edge main body of the movable edge including a cut-off edge is cut into, centering on the support shaft, a fixed edge main body of the fixed edge including a cut-off edge. The cutting device includes a receiving member provided along at least an edge front side of the fixed edge main body and an edge front side of the movable edge main body and a pressing section configured to press at least one of the fixed edge main body and the movable edge main body to tilt in the opposite direction of the receiving member to be received by the receiving member.

A lead trimming module and system provides automated means for trimming leads of a mounted electrical component. A controller executes a programmable lead trimming algorithm and correspondingly controls a movement apparatus, such as an XYZ gantry robot, and mounted lead trimming module for selectively trimming lead protrusions to a programmed lead length.

A cutting apparatus configured to hold an elongate element, such as a ribbon, in a desired orientation as the elongate element is cut into two sections. A cutting element of such a cutting apparatus may be confined to a single orientation relative to that of the elongate element, reducing or eliminating the likelihood of misalignment between the cutting element and the elongate element immediately before the elongate element is cut. In some embodiments, the cutting apparatus, or even its cutting element, may be configured to seal the newly cut ends of the elongate element. Methods for cutting and or sealing elongate elements, such as ribbons, are also disclosed.

The laminator includes a laminating member with a flat cutting platform, a pivot disposed at a corner of the laminating member, and a cutter assembly having a first end rotatably hinged to the laminating member through the pivot. A clamshell die press includes a fixed platen, a moving platen installed thereon a cutting blade, and a pad mounted on top of a working surface of the fixed platen, wherein the pad comprises a padding block, wherein the padding block comprises a padding layer composed of a material selected to match a tooth profile of the cutting blade.
