A kneading device includes a sensor-mount space provided in a wall of a casing, a wear detecting sensor of which a detecting section is disposed at a bottom of the sensor-mount space, and a controller that receives a signal output from the wear detecting sensor, the controller including a wear determining unit that determines that wear of an inner wall face of a kneading chamber has progressed based on a change in the signal.

To this end, it is provided that in the case of at least one of the rotors, the rotor main body, at least in sub-regions, is non-cylindrical and has a non-circular cross-section, in the surface sections in which no rotor blades are arranged on the rotor main body.

A mixing and extrusion machine (10) for the manufacture of rubber mixtures has a mixer with a converging conical twin screw (12) with a fixed frame (14) that supports sleeves (16). Two screws (18), being mounted at an angle, are mounted in the mixer (12) so as to move in translational movement between an opening (22) arranged upstream and an outlet (25) arranged downstream of the sleeves, so that the thread tips of each screw contact tangentially the surfaces of the opposite screw so that the screws remain substantially in contact with each other when the screws rotate at an angle and at a center distance that facilitates self-cleaning. The screw threads maintain tangential contact with the inner surfaces of the sleeves, thus preventing the retention of mixing material on these surfaces.

A kneading device for dispersing a dispersoid in a dispersion medium includes a casing in which a kneading material containing the dispersion medium and the dispersoid is accommodated, a rotor disposed in the casing and kneading the kneading material while dispersing the dispersoid in the dispersion medium by rotating about a rotation axis, and a detection unit detecting a dispersion degree of the dispersoid in the dispersion medium by observing a state of the kneading material in the casing.

In kneading rotors, a twist angle of long wing constituting kneading wings is between 38 degrees and 53 degrees inclusive. The long wing includes, between the long wings and an inner surface of a casing, wing tops configured to form, along a wing longitudinal direction, a first tip clearance, and a second tip clearance narrower than the first tip clearance in width. A central angle of the long wing forming the second tip clearance is between 5 degrees and 10 degrees inclusive.

Dust stop device for sealed kneader

Provided is a dust stop device for a sealed kneader, the device being capable of excellent supply of lubricating oil. The sealed kneader includes a pair of rotors and a supporting member. The dust stop device includes a rotating ring attached to each rotor and a stationary ring attached to the supporting member. Both the rings have respective contact surfaces which make surface contact with each other. The stationary ring has a lubricating-oil supply portion with a through-hole. A part of the through-hole, the part including a part opened in the contact surface, is a long hole extending along a circumferential direction of rotation of the rotating ring.
