Apparatus for extruding plastic materials
Apparatus and methods for extruding plastic materials are disclosed. An exemplary apparatus comprises: a feeding portion; a melting portion in communication with the feeding portion and configured to transmit heat into material received from the feeding portion; and an output die in communication with the melting portion to permit extrusion of the material. The melting portion comprises: a melting barrel having an inner surface defining a melting chamber in communication with the feeding portion; and a melting insert inside the melting chamber. The melting insert comprises an outer surface in contact with the inner surface of the melting barrel where the outer surface comprises one or more open-ended channels formed therein. In some embodiments, the feeding portion and the melting portion may be thermally insulated from each other and a propeller of the feeding portion may be disposed entirely outside of the melting portion.

The present invention relates to a worm shaft for a mixing and kneading machine in particular for continuous preparation processes, comprising a shaft rod, on the circumferential surface of which blade elements are arranged which are spaced apart from one another and which extend outward from the circumferential surface of the shaft rod, wherein the blade elements are arranged on the shaft rod, at least in one section extending in the axial direction of the worm shaft, in three rows extending in the axial direction of the worm shaft, wherein at least one of the blade elements of one of the rows is different from one of the blade elements of one of the other rows, and/or the rows of blade elements, viewed in cross-section of the shaft rod, are distributed irregularly over the circumference defined by the outer circumferential surface of the shaft rod.

With a mixing and kneading machine (100), wherein a worm shaft (12) moves in a housing (10) in a rotating manner and moves back and forth in a translatory movement, receptacles for kneading elements (12) are distributed non-uniformly. It is thereby possible to equip the receptacles with varying numbers of kneading elements. Quick adaptation is also thereby possible. In one embodiment, the number of kneading elements even varies over the extension direction of the mixing and kneading machine (100).

An extruder and an LFT extrusion member manufactured thereby, and the extruder uses a long fiber thermoplastic (LFT) as a raw material to produce LFT extrusion members such as LFT sheets, pipes and profiles by a continuous extrusion molding process. The structural improvement of the extruder screw, including the screw body having three different thread groove deep sections, in sequence, a feed section, a compression section and a metering section, so that the LFT extrusion member produced by the extruder has high strength, high stiffness, high dimensional stability, low warpage and resistance to creep.

A masterbatch manufacturing method in accordance with the present disclosure comprises an operation in which pre-coagulation rubber latex comprising filler is coagulated to obtain a coagulum; an operation in which the coagulum is dewatered; and an operation in which the dewatered coagulum is plasticized as it is dried by means of an extruder; wherein, during the operation in which the dewatered coagulum is plasticized as it is dried, the coagulum comprises a peptizing agent.

Disclosed herein is an example method for forming plastic products (120, 208) with reduced gels, comprising: melting a polyolefin resin (112) in extruder (102) to form a melt; adjusting specific energy input in the extruder (102) to reduce gels in the melt; and forming the melt into a polyolefin product (120, 208). Disclosed herein is also an example method for forming plastic products (120, 20) with reduced gels, comprising: melting a polyolefin resin in extruder (102) to form a melt; selecting a throttle valve (104) position for gel reduction; setting the throttle valve (104) at the selected throttle valve (104) position to restrict flow of the melt out of the extruder (102); and forming the melt into a polyolefin product (120, 208).
Biaxial or tri-axial eccentric rotor volume pulsed deformation plasticizing method and device
The present invention discloses a biaxial or tri-axial eccentric rotor volume pulsed deformation plasticizing method and device. The method is characterized in that: the conveying volume of materials formed between two or three engaged eccentric rotors, which are formed by spiral structures and eccentric cylindrical structures connected alternately, and an inner surface of a stator changes periodically along the axial direction and the radial direction of the rotors, achieving the volume pulsed deformation plasticizing and conveying of the materials during engaged rotation of the two or three engaged eccentric rotors. The device's eccentric rotors are all formed by length-varying spiral structures and eccentric cylindrical structures connected alternately; the spiral structures of the eccentric rotors are engaged to each other; the axial positions of eccentric cylindrical structures of the two or three rotors are the same. The present invention can implement extrusion of polymer materials or implement, in combination with a plunger injection unit, injection molding of polymer materials, and have many features such as desirable mixing and plasticizing effects for materials, a short thermo-mechanical course, low power consumption, and wide adaptability.
