PROCESSING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING AN ENERGY STORAGE MATERIAL
In a processing system for processing an energy storage material, a pressure buildup device is disposed downstream of a mixing device. The mixing device serves for the processing of the energy storage material. By means of the pressure buildup device, a pressure of the energy storage material is increased for a subsequent shaping. Because the mixing device and the pressure buildup device are separate from one another, a good mixing effect and a good pressure buildup effect are achieved. The energy storage material can thus be processed in a high quality in a simple and reliable manner. The energy storage material serves in particular for the production of bipolar plates for fuel cells and/or for the production of galvanic energy storage devices.
Feeder Module in Planetary Roller Extruder Design
A planetary roller extruder section forms a feed part of an extruder. The planetary roller extruder has an internally toothed housing and an externally toothed central spindle disposed centrally within and at a distance from the housing. Planetary spindles are arranged to rotate in a void between the central spindle and the housing. Each planetary spindle has an external toothing meshing with both the housing and the central spindle. At least one planetary spindle has two axially spaced areas with less than a full set of teeth. Those axially spaced areas include a first area having a first number of teeth and a second area having a second number of teeth. The second number of teeth is less than a full set of teeth and more than the first number of teeth.
Removable pressure-sensitive adhesive strip
The invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive strip, for the residue-free and nondestructive removal by which by substantially expanding it in the plane of adhesion, comprising an adhesive compound layer, said adhesive compound layer consisting of a pressure-sensitive adhesive compound, constituted by vinyl aromatic block copolymers and adhesive resins, at least 75 wt.-% (relative to the total amount of resin) of a resin being selected that has a DACP (diacetone alcohol cloud point) of greater than 20 C., preferably greater than 0 C., and a softening point (ring & ball) of greater than or equal to 70 C., preferably greater than or equal to 100 C., and the pressure-sensitive adhesive compound being foamed.
Planetary Roller Extruder with Improved Cooling During the Extrusion of Melts
The disclosure relates to various measures for increasing the cooling effect on a planetary roller extruder section/module. Those measures include a choke being arranged at an outlet of the planetary roller extruder section or module, a distance between centerlines of adjacent planetary spindles being at least equal to an outer diameter of the planetary spindles, providing a pressurized melt supply, having a cooling section composed of several sections/modules, providing at least one section/module in which a flow, during melt supply is converse to the conveying direction of the extruder, and providing cooling tubes arranged within the central spindle.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A STABILISER COMPOSITION FOR A POLYMER, AND STABILISER COMPOSITION PRODUCED USING SAID METHOD
A method for producing a stabilizer composition for a polymer, particularly a polymer containing halogen such as polyvinyl chloride, in which components for forming the stabilizer composition are mixed in an extruder and continuously discharged therefrom, in which an impact modifier is admixed. A correspondingly produced stabilizer composition and the use of a planetary roller extruder to produce a stabilizer composition.
THERMALLY VULCANISABLE ADHESIVE AND ADHESIVE STRIP PRODUCED THEREFROM
Thermally vulcanisable, meltable adhesives and processes have a meltable polybutadiene-polyurethane, ground sulphur and optionally at least one vulcanisation accelerator, at least one filling material, at least one epoxide resin, at least one tackifier resin, bitumen, at least one softener and further auxiliary and additive materials, wherein said adhesives and processes can be thermally vulcanised within a temperature range of 130 C. to 230 C., such that same, as well as an adhesive strip produced from same, can be used for adhesion and/or sealing in the automotive industry, as well as in structural work on oiled sheet metal, and in the painting line on e-coated or otherwise painted sheet metal, for example, for crimp fold adhesion, for crimp fold sealing, for seam sealing, for lining adhesion, for hole closure and much more.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A DYED AND AN UNDYED PLASTIC MELT
A device for producing a dyed plastic melt and an undyed plastic melt includes a multi-shaft screw extruder, a first metering installation, a second metering installation, and a control installation for selecting between a first operating mode for producing the dyed plastic melt and a second operating mode for producing the undyed plastic melt. The first metering installation serves for feeding an undyed plastic material through a first infeed opening into a housing of the multi-shaft screw extruder, and the second metering installation serves for feeding at least one color granulate through a second infeed opening into the housing. The plastic material is fed exclusively by way of the first infeed opening such that residual color granulate or dyeing agent contained therein, respectively, which is still located in the second metering installation or in the region of the second infeed opening does not contaminate the undyed plastic melt.
POLYMERIC COMPOSITES
A composition including 6 to 50 weight percent wood pulp fiber and 45 to 93.45 weight percent thermoplastic polymer. In some embodiments, the average dispersion of the wood pulp fibers within the thermoplastic polymer is equal to or greater than 90% as determined by the Dispersion Test. In some embodiments, the dilution level for detection in a bag at 40 C. is equal to or less than 450 as determined by ASTM E679. In some embodiments, the composition further includes 0.5 to 5 weight percent of an additive, such as a compatibilizer, a coupling agent, an anti-oxidant, and/or a lubricant. In some embodiments, the wood pulp fiber is bleached chemical wood pulp fiber.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY MANUFACTURING CURED MEMBRANES
A method of continuously manufacturing a cured membrane includes continuously compounding and mixing a vulcanizable rubber composition in a mixing extruder while continuously removing gasses from the vulcanizable rubber composition during mixing with a vacuum. The vulcanizable rubber composition may be continuously extruded to form an extrudate, which may be continuously calendered to form a green membrane. The green membrane may be continuously cured, such as by a hot air conveyor curing system, to form a cured membrane.
GRAIN DEHYDRATING COMPRESSOR FOR WET GRAIN SYSTEM AND METHOD
