STRAINING MECHANISM AND SCREW EXTRUDER INCLUDING STRAINING MECHANISM

There are provided a straining mechanism and a screw extruder including the straining mechanism, which can minimize material passing resistance in a breaker plate even, in a large-sized apparatus having high throughput, and which can improve the throughput by suppressing load power of the apparatus and heat generation of a material. For this purpose, a backup plate having an opening rate higher than an opening rate of a breaker plate and supporting the breaker plate is installed on a rear surface side of the breaker plate supporting a screen mesh.

A twin-screw extrusion kneader includes: two rotating shafts provided side by side in an internal space; a rotational driving portion configured to rotationally drive the rotating shafts; and paddles provided in the rotating shafts and configured to rotate along with the rotating shafts so as to knead a kneading material. Further, the twin-screw extrusion kneader includes movable portions provided as members constituting a part of the housing, the part of the housing including an inner wall surface of the housing, the inner wall surface being opposed to radially outer peripheral surfaces of the paddles. The movable portions can be moved in a direction to approach the paddles and in a direction to be distanced from the paddles.

Non-chemical, mechanical procedure for the devulcanization of scrap rubber and/or elastomers and apparatus therefor
09926426 · 2018-03-27 · ·

Method of devulcanizing rubber and/or elastomers without the need for a chemical agent, in which method the vulcanized rubber and/or elastomers are fed into a planetary roller extruder, which planetary roller extruder has a housing, a central spindle, and at least one group of planetary spindles. Mechanical and thermal stress is generated on the vulcanized rubber and/or elastomers by kneading and/or crushing the vulcanized rubber and/or elastomers using the central spindle and the planetary spindles. The mechanical and thermal stress alone is sufficient to break or destroy the molecular chains or bonds of the vulcanized rubber and/or elastomers.

Method for removing volatile components from elastomer-containing media and degassing devices therefor

The invention relates to a method for degassing elastomer-containing media, such as elastomer solutions and dispersions in particular, and degassing devices (1) for carrying out said method.

Steam/water static mixer injector for preconditioners

Apparatus (20) for injection of fluid into extrusion system components such as a preconditioner (24) or extruder (100) is provided, preferably as a composite assembly including a fluid injection valve (52) and an interconnected static mixer section (54). Alternately, use may be made of the fluid injection valve (52) or static mixer section (54) alone. The invention greatly simplifies the fluid injection apparatus used in extrusion systems, while giving more efficient absorption of thermal energy with a minimum of environmental contamination, and the ability to inject multiple streams into the extrusion systems.

CONTINUOUS METHODS OF MAKING FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE PANELS

Continuous method including: mixing water and cementitous powder to form slurry; mixing the slurry and reinforcement fibers in a single pass horizontal continuous mixer to form fiber-slurry mixture, the mixer including an elongated mixing chamber having a reinforcement fiber inlet port, and upstream of the fiber inlet port is an inlet port to introduce water and cementitous powder together as one stream or at least two inlet ports to introduce water and dry cementitous powder separately as separate streams into the chamber, a rotating horizontal shaft/s within the chamber, part of the chamber for mixing the fibers and slurry and moving the fiber-slurry mixture to a mixture outlet; discharging the fiber-slurry mixture from the mixer outlet; forming and setting the fiber-slurry mixture on a moving surface; cutting the set mixture into fiber reinforced concrete panels and removing the panels from the moving surface.

Installation for producing a polymer melt and use of such an installation for producing a polymer melt for a porous film

An installation for producing a polymer melt for a porous film, in particular for a membrane film, comprises a planetary roller extruder. Said extruder is used to produce a flowable polymer melt from thermoplastics. The planetary roller extruder has a filling opening and a discharge side for delivering the polymer melt. A melt pump is further provided. The discharge side of the planetary roller extruder is connected to a downstream inlet side of the melt pump for further conveying the polymer melt. The connection is in the form of a pressure channel shielded from the ambient atmosphere or a pressure line shielded from the ambient atmosphere. The planetary roller extruder and the melt pump are designed and/or can be driven in such a manner that the polymer melt is applied or can be transferred under pressure at the melt pump on the inlet side.
