DOUBLE ARM MIXER EXTRUDER
A mixer having a discharge screw centrally located between first and second side walls and disposed in a cavity provided in the bottom. The discharge screw has (a) a shaft with a first end that extends through a first end wall and (b) a driven end opposite the first end of the shaft, with the driven end being connected to a motor shaft for rotating the discharge screw in at least one direction. The driven end has a recessed portion that extends into the second end wall of the vessel. The mixer may include a deflector that is fixed to the second end wall and extends toward the first end wall and is located between the mixing blades and the discharge screw.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MIXING ELASTOMERIC MATERIALS
A machine for mixing elastomeric materials with a drive and mixing unit where the mixing chamber is arranged downstream of the drive unit; and a discharge chamber is arranged downstream of the mixing chamber. They communicate towards upstream, and are provided with a discharge opening for discharging the mixture. They include a signal indicating the presence or absence of a mixture. The machine can cause during a mixing step, at least one reversal by the drive unit of a sense of rotation of the rotors and therefore of a sense of advancing movement in the axial direction of the mixture from/towards the mixing chamber and towards/from the discharge chamber, to keep mixing of the mixture active only inside the mixing chamber.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MIXING ELASTOMERIC MATERIALS
A Machine for mixing elastomeric materials with a mixing unit, and a drive unit; the mixing unit has a mixing chamber arranged downstream of the drive unit and closed by a rear wall, a discharge chamber arranged downstream of the mixing chamber, with which it communicates and provided with an opening for discharging the mixture; a pair of inter-penetrating and counter-rotating conical rotors connected with the drive unit and having their vertices situated at the mouth of the discharge chamber. The rotors are rotated by the drive unit in a first sense (RPM+) to cause the mixture to be pushed towards the rear wall of the mixing chamber so as to keep mixing active only inside the mixing chamber, and in second sense of rotation, opposite to the first sense, to cause the mixture to be pushed towards the chamber and the discharge opening for discharging thereof.
Housing component for a multi-shaft screw machine and method for the production of a housing component
A housing component, for the production of a housing of a multi-shaft screw machine, includes a base body, in which at least two bores interpenetrating each other are configured. The bores extend in a conveying direction through the base body and are limited transversely to the conveying direction by an inner wall. The inner wall configures at least one first wall section and at least one second wall section such that the at least one first wall section is harder than the at least one second wall section. The wall sections, for example, are generated by material application. The housing component allows for a reliable wear protection and a positive influence on the material processing.
Straining mechanism and screw extruder including straining mechanism
There are provided a straining mechanism and a screw extruder including the straining mechanism, which can minimize material passing resistance in a breaker plate even, in a large-sized apparatus having high throughput, and which can improve the throughput by suppressing load power of the apparatus and heat generation of a material. For this purpose, a backup plate having an opening rate higher than an opening rate of a breaker plate and supporting the breaker plate is installed on a rear surface side of the breaker plate supporting a screen mesh.
PELLETIZING APPARATUS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF POLYMER PELLETS
A pelletizing apparatus includes a filter device connected with a melt feed, a granulator downstream of the filter device, particularly an underwater granulator, a water treatment device, and a control means for controlling the filter device, underwater granulator, and water treatment device and adapted to provide at least one control parameter. The apparatus includes at least one machine-readable and -writable identification means for storing and providing an item of component-specific information and being associated with a component in the flow path of the melt or the process water, and a reading device communicating with the control means to receive the component-specific information from the identification means, and a writing device to write the identification means with the component-specific information, the control means to adapt the control parameter based on the component-specific information to provide the component-specific information, and, based on the component-specific information, to execute a diagnostic process.
CONTINUOUS PROCESSOR UTILIZING QUANTUM FIELD MICRO-VARIABLE PARTICLE INTERACTION
Continuous processing equipment is suitable for use in the preparation of elastomeric compositions from end-of-life tire crumb or other vulcanized rubber starting materials. A reactor includes an outer barrel, a first shaft and a second shaft, and one or more piezoelectric transducer-driven acoustic horns arranged along the outer barrel and penetrating the outer barrel through a series of vibration-isolated ports which traverse a jacket of the outer barrel.
STARTER FOR THE DEVULCANISATION OF SCRAP RUBBER
A starter for the devulcanisation of scrap rubber. The abstract of the disclosure is submitted herewith as required by 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b). As stated in 37 C.F.R. §1.72(b): A brief abstract of the technical disclosure in the specification must commence on a separate sheet, preferably following the claims, under the heading “Abstract of the Disclosure.” The purpose of the abstract is to enable the Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and gist of the technical disclosure. The abstract shall not be used for interpreting the scope of the claims. Therefore, any statements made relating to the abstract are not intended to limit the claims in any manner and should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any manner.
TWIN-SCREW DRY GRANULATION FOR PRODUCING SOLID FORMULATIONS
A dry granulation process using a twin-screw extruder for granulating a powder mixture which includes at least one active ingredient and at least one carrier. The process includes steps of kneading the powder mixture in the screw barrel of the twin-screw extruder at a barrel temperature below a melting point of the at least one active ingredient and a melting point or a glass transition temperature of the at least one carrier to provide a kneaded powder mixture, and extruding the kneaded powder mixture to form granules. Granules and tablets produced using the dry granulation process in the twin-screw extruder are also provided.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING PLASTIC PRODUCTS BY MEANS OF AN EXTRUDER, AND SHAPING SYSTEM
The invention relates to a process for the production of articles, exemplarily a plastic article, by means of an extruder (1) to which a first plastic composition of a first main component and at least one associated minor component is supplied from a first group of dosing stations (21, 24). According to the invention, during the production time of a first production order there is prepared a second group of dosing stations (31, 33) at the extruder for a second production order for which a second plastic composition of a second main component and at least one associated minor component that is different from the first plastic composition has to be supplied to the extruder. After completion of the first production order it is reset to the second production order by terminating the supply of the first plastic composition by closing a first shut-off device (8) and starting the supply of the second plastic composition by opening a second shut-off device (8′).
