ELECTRONIC SMOKELESS TOBACCO TO WHICH FLAVORING SHEET IS APPLIED
The present invention relates to an aerosol-generating article used together with an aerosol-generating device including a cigarette rod having a cavity segment filled with tobacco granules; and filter rod positioned downstream of the cigarette rod, wherein the cigarette rod includes a flavoring source.
METHOD OF FORMING FILTER WITH INTERSTICES FOR E-VAPING DEVICE
The method includes forming a filter material sheet, containing the filter material sheet to form a contained filter material, the containing including, folding the filter material sheet to create a plurality of folds along a width of the filter material sheet, gathering the filter material sheet to form the contained filter material, the plurality of folds in the filter material sheet forming interstices running through a longitudinal length of the contained filter material, the interstices being configured to allow an airflow to pass through the longitudinal length of the contained filter material, and infusing the filter material sheet with at least one first consumable substance, the at least one first consumable substance being one of nicotine, at least one first flavorant, a pre-vapor formulation, a combination thereof, or a sub-combination thereof.
SMOKING ARTICLE WITH FLOW RESTRICTOR ADAPTED TO PROMOTE FILTER DEGRADATION
A smoking article comprises a tobacco rod and a filter component. The filter component comprises a first filter segment of filtration material having a diameter measured perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the filter, and a flow restrictor embedded in the filter segment. At least one cross sectional dimension of the flow restrictor, measured in a transverse direction of the filter segment, is at least about 50 percent of the diameter of the filter segment. The flow restrictor is made from an air-impermeable, non-compressible and water-soluble or water-dissolvable material. Further, the flow restrictor comprises a composition that promotes degradation of the filtration material.
CELLULOSE ACETATE PARTICLE AGGREGATE, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND APPLICATION THEREOF
A cellulose acetate particle aggregate, a preparation method therefor and an application thereof, which relate to the field of harm reduction additives in cigarettes. The cellulose acetate particle aggregate includes 49-99.5 wt % of cellulose acetate particles, 0-50 wt % of a second kind of particles, and 0.5-20 wt % of a binder. The preparation method involves selecting cellulose acetate particles and a second kind of particles in a certain ratio, or cellulose acetate particles alone, preparing particle aggregates by using an air fluidized granulation method while adding a binder thereto, and sieving the particle aggregates to obtain a cellulose acetate particle aggregate having a required particle size. The cellulose acetate particle aggregate has a porous structure, an irregular shape, and a rough and uneven surface, which help to improve the efficiency of filtering out particulate matters or one or more harmful ingredients in cigarette smoke.
ADDITIVE - CONTAINING MEMBER
Smoking article additive-containing member An additive-containing member having first and second regions, the second region comprising a predetermined region having a reduced strength limit relative to the first region so that the predetermined region is caused to break when pressure is applied to the additive-containing member, thereby to release additive, wherein the predetermined region is at a seal between two parts of the additive-containing member.
Disposable Inhalation Device That Releases Smoke Which is Not Direclty Inhaled
A disposable inhalation device that releases smoke which is not directly inhaled is provided. The body of the device is in the form of a cylinder formed by a sheath of thin material and is composed of three components that function independently of one another: an inhalation section, organic matter combustion section and a splitting section. The splitting section separates the inhalation section and the organic matter combustion section. Through the side apertures on the body of the inhalation section, the external atmospheric air enters the inhalation section during the inhalation process, where it mixes with the inhalation substance and the person inhales. By combustion of the organic matter together with the sheath of the organic matter combustion section, smoke is not inhaled directly by the inhaler i.e. the person who is inhaling.
SMOKING ARTICLE COMPRISING AEROGEL
A smoking article is provided that includes an aerogel, which can be optionally impregnated with a catalytic metal compound or can optionally be coated with at least one aerosol-forming material and a flavoring agent. The smoking article comprises various segments such as a heat generation segment, an aerosol-generation segment, and a mouth end. The aerogel can be placed near or within any of these segments.
The presence of the aerogel can reduce the concentration of certain gaseous components of mainstream smoke generated during use of a smoking article incorporating a heat generation segment containing a fuel element.
Smoking article and mouthpiece therefor
The invention relates to a smoking article comprising a smoking article rod portion having a recess and a mouthpiece attachable to the smoking article rod portion. The mouthpiece includes an elongate cylindrical element arranged to be inserted into the recess by a user. The cylindrical element comprises an outer surface having at least one circumferentially extending raised area, and the at least one circumferentially extending raised area is configured to engage with an inner surface of the recess to prevent or restrict air flow between the inner surface of the recess and an outer surface of the mouthpiece.
ARTICLE FOR USE IN A NON-COMBUSTIBLE AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
An article for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision system is described. The article includes an aerosol generating material and a mouthpiece connected to the aerosol generating material, the mouthpiece including a first body of material, and a second body of material downstream of the first body. The second body is offset from the first body so as to define a cavity between the first body and the second body. A breakable capsule is disposed in the cavity, and a diameter of the capsule can be less than the length of the cavity and the diameter of the cavity can be greater than the length of the cavity. A method of manufacturing an article is also described.
Filter for a smoking article
A filter (11) for a smoking article (10) comprises a first flow path (13) through the filter, a second flow path (14) through the filter, the second flow path being disposed around the first flow path, and a selector (16) for allowing flow selectively through the first and second flow paths.
