METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RESIN MOLDED BODY AND RESIN MOLDED BODY
A method for manufacturing a long-length resin molded body using a liquid crystal polyester is provided. The method includes injecting a resin composition containing the liquid crystal polyester via a gate into a cavity of a mold and filling the cavity with the resin composition. The mold cavity has a shape corresponding with the resin molded body and a gate is provided in a position where the distance from an end edge of the cavity in a long-length direction of the cavity is not more than 10% of the length of the long-length direction. The ratio of the length of the long-length direction relative to a length of a short-length direction of the cavity is two or greater. The length of the long-length direction is 200 mm or greater. A thickness of the cavity is at least 0.5 mm but not more than 3.0 mm.

A control valve includes a housing, a valve body arranged in a valve chamber of the housing, and a support portion slidably supporting an outer surface of the valve body in the valve chamber. The valve body is slidable on the support portion between an open position at which an outlet port is open and a closed position at which a seat surface of the valve body closes the outlet port. The valve body includes a skin layer forming the outer surface of the valve body, and a core layer under the skin layer. The outer surface of the valve body, other than the seat surface and a slidable area, includes a core exposed portion where the core layer is exposed without being covered with the skin layer.
CONTROL VALVE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CONTROL VALVE
A control valve includes a housing, a valve body arranged in a valve chamber of the housing, and a support member fixed to the housing and supporting the valve body in the valve chamber. The valve body has a tubular shape into which the support member is inserted, and the valve body is slidable on the support member between a first position to close an inlet passage and a second position to close a drain passage. The valve body includes a skin layer forming an outer surface of the valve body, and a core layer under the skin layer. The outer surface of the valve body includes a core exposed portion where the core layer is exposed without being covered with the skin layer.
PLATE-SHAPED MOLDED BODY MANUFACTURING METHOD, MOLD, AND RUNNER
A plate-shaped molded body manufacturing method is provided. The manufacturing method involves a step of injection-molding a liquid crystal polymer resin composition using a mold that satisfies the following conditions (i) to (iii). (i) The mold includes a cavity and a gate that is connected to the cavity, the cavity has a shape that corresponds to the plate-shaped molded body, and the gate is provided across approximately an entire width of one side of the cavity. (ii) The mold includes a runner that is connected to the gate, and the runner extends along approximately an entire width of the gate. (iii) In a cross section perpendicular to an extension direction of the runner, a shape of an inside space of the runner has a wedge-shaped portion in which a width of the inside space gradually decreases toward the gate.

The element further includes a material injection channel with at least two portions which extend in different directions. Pump liner with improved fiber orientation
A molded liner member for a fluid pump is disclosed. The liner member includes a generally annular ring, having an inner surface, an outer surface which is substantially concentric with the inner surface, and first and second end surfaces. The annular ring is molded from fiber reinforced polymer, and a majority of the fiber reinforcements in the polymer are oriented substantially parallel to an axis passing through the center of the annular ring. A method for making the liner member is also disclosed.
INJECTION MOLDING APPARATUS AND METHOD TO REDUCE BIREFRINGENCE
A molding apparatus and method operation for making a molded part are provided. The molding apparatus includes a mold core extending between a generally flat lower surface and an upper surface defining a runner, a fan gate, and a part cavity for forming the molded part. The mold core includes an inner surface defining a plunger cavity extending into the mold core from the upper surface and having a uniform cross-section parallel to the upper surface and open to the gate. A plunger is slidably disposed within the plunger cavity for pulling material from the gate into the plunger cavity. A first pin extends through a first bore in the mold core to move the plunger within the plunger cavity. A hydraulic cylinder interacts with an ejector plate to move the first pin. A second pin also extends through the mold core and is movable perpendicular to the upper surface.

A method of building an insulation system around a naked conductor section of a power cable. The insulation system includes an inner semiconducting layer arranged around the conductor, an insulation layer arranged around the inner semiconducting layer, and an outer semiconducting layer arranged around the insulation layer. The method includes: a) placing the naked conductor section in a mold, and b) molding an insulation system around the naked conductor section, wherein the molding of the insulation system involves injecting a first semiconducting compound into a first mold cavity to form an inner semiconducting layer around the naked conductor section, injecting an insulation compound into a second mold cavity to form an insulation layer around the inner semiconducting layer, and injecting a second semiconducting compound into a third mold cavity to form an outer semiconducting layer around the insulation layer.
Resin part and its manufacturing method
A resin part includes a molded main body that has a plate shape with a longitudinal direction and is constituted of an injection-molded product. The resin part has a gate portion that is a vestige of a resin injection gate. The gate portion is located in an end face part of the molded main body to cross a position corresponding to a center of gravity of the molded main body; the end face part extends in the longitudinal direction of the molded main body.
POLYURETHANE INJECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method to dispense, mix, and inject liquids and force them into a vented investment pattern mold cavity comprises a source of raw materials in fluid communication with an injection unit for metering and delivering the raw materials. A mixing and injection head receives and mixes the metered raw materials. A movable molding cart upon which an investment pattern mold is mounted is disposed adjacent the injection unit and proximate the mixing and injection head. The movable molding cart includes a fill cup that may be engaged by the mixing and injection head. A displaceable gating tray provides fluid communication with the fill cup and a sprue aligned with an investment port on a lower portion of the investment pattern mold. The system also includes a digital computer control by which the injection process may be controlled.
