An aerosol generating component for a tobacco heating device includes an aerosol generating material, a mouthpiece downstream of the aerosol generating material, a first wrapper comprising a first sheet material and surrounding at least a portion of the aerosol generating material and a second wrapper comprising a second sheet material and surrounding at least a portion of the mouthpiece. The thermal conductivity of the first sheet material is higher than the thermal conductivity of the second sheet material. There is also described a mouthpiece for an aerosol generating component for a tobacco heating device, the mouthpiece comprising one or more wrappers wherein at least one of the one or more wrappers comprises a sheet material having a density in the range 0.2 g/cm.sup.3 to 0.45 g/cm.sup.3.
Method of forming smoking articles with mouth end cavities
A method of producing smoking articles, the method comprising a first step of providing a continuous array of first filter members (42), second filter segments (20) and tubular members (40). A tubular member (40) is provided between each pair of consecutive first filter members (42) and a second filter segment (20) is provided between each first filter member (42) and each tubular member (40). Each second filter segment (20) contains one or more breakable capsules, wherein each breakable capsule comprises an outer shell and an inner core containing an additive. The continuous array of first filter members (42), second filter segments (20) and tubular members (40) is then wrapped with a continuous sheet of plug wrap (44) to form a wrapped filter array, wherein the plug wrap (44) has a basis weight of less than 90 grams per square metre. The wrapped filter array is cut at an intermediate position along each first filter member (42) to provide multiple filter rods, each filter rod comprising two first filter segments (18), a tubular member (40) positioned between the first filter segments (18) and a second filter segment (20) provided between each first filter segment (18) and the tubular member (40). Next, a tobacco rod (12) is provided in axial alignment with and adjacent to each first filter segment (18) of one of the filter rods, and the filter rod and a portion of each tobacco rod (12) are wrapped in a tipping wrapper (50). Finally, the tipping wrapper (50) and the filter rod are cut at an intermediate position along the length of the tubular member (40) to form multiple smoking articles (10), each smoking article (10) comprising a tobacco rod (12) connected to a filter (14), wherein each filter (14) comprises a first filter segment (18) downstream of the tobacco rod (12), a second filter segment (20) downstream of the first filter segment (18), and a hollow tube segment (22) positioned between the second filter segment (20) and the mouth end of the filter (14). The hollow tube segment (22) defines a cavity (24) at the mouth end of the filter (14).
FILTER FOR AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE
A filter for an aerosol generating device is disclosed. The filter contains a breakable capsule and the breakable capsule includes an aerosol modifier.
Graphene based tobacco smoke filter and a method for synthesizing graphene composition
The embodiments herein provide a filter for cigarette comprising graphene nano-composite based material enclosed in a casing. The filter is reusable and is plugged to any cigarette, or tobacco smoking products. The filter is a stand-alone product or manufactured integrally with each individual cigarette. The filter provides a safe smoking option to tobacco smokers without changing their smoking habits by reducing the tar content and other toxic chemicals in the inhaled smoke. The graphene based nanocomposite filter adsorbs the toxic agents from the smoke (of cigarette, beedi, hookah etc). The filter is fabricated by treating ceramic particles and coating them with carbon particles. The carbon particles are carbonized. The ceramic particles coated with carbon are segregated based on shape and size and treated chemically to convert carbon into graphene under inert conditions. The graphene coated particles are chemically functionalized for improved filtration.
Hydrophobic capsule
A capsule (120) for use in a smoking article includes a liquid sensory enhancing material; and a shell surrounding the liquid sensory enhancing material. The shell has an outer surface rendered hydrophobic by hydrophobic groups covalently bond to the outer surface of the shell. The shell may be rendered hydrophobic by reacting hydroxyl groups at outer surface of the shell with fatty acid halides to covalently attach fatty acid moieties to the surface of the capsule.
Flower Cartridge for Herb Delivery
A flower cartridge for use with a portable electronic heating device for the smokeless delivery of active ingredients and volatile compounds released from heating natural consumables such as plant matter is disclosed. The cartridge contains a quantity of natural consumables and a constriction or obstruction, which together form a porous plug to which air flows freely but the consumables remain in place. The contents of the cartridge are liberated via hot air and active ingredients are delivered to the user via heating and not burning. The cartridge is made of disposable and/or biodegradable materials to reduce ecological impact.
CIGARETTE
A cigarette includes a tobacco rod and a filter rod connected to a downstream end portion of the tobacco rod. A portion of the filter rod includes a cooling portion, and the cooling portion includes sucrose as a cooling material.
