Method And Apparatus For Injection Molding Of Plastic Materials
A method for injection molding of plastic materials into a cavity of a mold by means of a molding apparatus including at least one injector having a pin valve displaceable between a fully closed position and a maximum opening position, and vice versa, in a controlled fashion in respect of its position and speed. In the opening displacement from the fully closed position to the maximum opening position, the pin valve is initially moved at a first speed and subsequently at a second speed, where the first speed is the highest opening displacement speed of the pin valve.

An injection molding system for implementing a molding process, comprising: a mold, a controller, a position sensor, wherein during an injection cycle, the system feeds the fluid material to one or more nozzles at one or more predetermined times, the controller being configured to receive and process the output signal from the position sensor to determine one or more actual flow rate indicative parameters, a user interface that displays one or more pin positions and one or more flow rate indicative parameters by which a user of the system can track the one or more pin positions and flow rate indicative parameters in real time during the injection cycle.
Spring retaining pin for valve stem retention
An apparatus and method of coupling and decoupling a valve stem to an actuator are disclosed. In one embodiment, the actuator includes a moveable member that is coupled to the valve stem. One of the valve stem and the moveable member is a male coupling portion and the other of the valve stem and moveable member is the female coupling portion. The male coupling portion is nested within the female coupling portion. A retaining pin retains the male coupling portion with respect to the female coupling portion.
HOT RUNNER DEVICE
A hot runner device includes a fixed die, a hot runner block, a valve gate, and a valve pin. The hot runner block includes a first block including a first resin passage, a second block including a second resin passage communicating with the valve gate and a hot runner pipe through which the first resin passage communicates with the second resin passage. The hot runner pipe is disposed such that a first end of the hot runner pipe is fixed to one of the first and second blocks, and a second end of the hot runner pipe is distanced from the other one of the first and second blocks by a predetermined distance in a pipe axial direction during cold time. The predetermined distance is set to be smaller than an expansion amount of the hot runner pipe at a time when a temperature is increased.

An injection molding apparatus (10) comprising a signal converter (1500) interconnected to a machine controller (MC) of an injection molding machine (IMM) that generates standardized signals (VPS), the signal converter (1500) receiving and converting the standardized signals (VS) to a command signal (MOPCS, PDCVS) that is compatible with a signal receptor or interface of an electrically powered actuator (940e, 941e, 942e) or a signal receptor, interface or driver of a proportional directional control valve (V, V1, V2) that drives a fluid driven actuator (940p, 941p, 942p) to respectively operate the electrically powered actuator (940e, 941e, 942e) or the proportional directional control valve (V, V1, V2) to move in a direction that operates to either begin an injection cycle and to end an injection cycle.

The invention is directed to an injection nozzle (1) for an injection molding device comprising. At least one closure element (4) is arranged movable in a nozzle head (2) in a first direction (a). A cam mechanism (5) comprises a cam head (6) with a cam head block (7). Per closure element (4) the cam head block (7) comprises a bracket (8). The bracket (8) comprises at least one inlay (9). Per closure element (4) the at least one inlay (9) comprises a first drive surface (10) which interacts with a second drive surface (11) arranged at the closure element (4) at least during closing of the closure element (4). The cam head block (7) per closure element (4) comprises a third drive surface (12) which interacts with a fourth drive surface (13) arranged at the closure element (4) at least during opening of the closure element (4).

Injection molding flow control apparatus and method
Injection molding apparatuses and methods wherein a valve pin is controllably driven upstream and downstream along an axis between a first closed position where the tip end of the valve pin obstructs the gate to prevent the injection fluid from flowing into the cavity, a full open position and one or more intermediate positions, wherein the valve pin is drivable to be disposed or held in a selected intermediate position for a selected period of time during the course of an injection cycle where the tip end of the valve pin restricts flow of injection fluid through the gate to the mold cavity.
