MIXING AND EXTRUSION MACHINE WITH SELF-CLEANING TWIN SCREW AND METHOD OF USE
A mixing and extrusion machine (10) for the manufacture of rubber mixtures has a mixer with a converging conical twin screw (12) with a fixed frame (14) that supports sleeves (16). Two screws (18), being mounted at an angle, are mounted in the mixer (12) so as to move in translational movement between an opening (22) arranged upstream and an outlet (25) arranged downstream of the sleeves, so that the thread tips of each screw contact tangentially the surfaces of the opposite screw so that the screws remain substantially in contact with each other when the screws rotate at an angle and at a center distance that facilitates self-cleaning. The screw threads maintain tangential contact with the inner surfaces of the sleeves, thus preventing the retention of mixing material on these surfaces.

A system for manufacturing an electrode for a secondary battery includes, a mixing unit forming a fibrillated mixture by fibrillating a powder mixture of active material powder, binder powder, and conductive material powder, a forming unit forming a mixture film by the fibrillated mixture, a pressurizing unit uniformizing a thickness of the mixture film by pressurizing rollers to form an electrode component film, first and second winding rolls each supplied and wound with the electrode component film from the pressurizing unit, a base material film roll located between first and second winding rolls and wound with a base material film, and a lamination unit configured to heat and cool to form a junction of the first electrode component film, the base material film, and the second electrode component film that are consecutively stacked.
SCREW-TYPE EXTRUDER
A screw extruder for extruding a kneaded material, includes: a pair of screws; a casing that houses the pair of screws and includes a supply port; and a roller-die. Each of the screws includes a shaft portion, and a spiral flight portion. The flight portion is formed into a shape in which a radial distance between the surface of the shaft portion and a tip of the flight portion decreases gradually toward a downstream end in an extrusion direction of a kneaded material. The casing has a tapered shape. Within a range between a downstream end of the supply port and a downstream end of the flight portion, a clearance between a top portion of the flight portion and an inner wall surface of the casing at the downstream end of the supply port is larger than a clearance at any other part.
SCREW-TYPE EXTRUDER
A screw extruder for extruding a kneaded material, includes: a pair of screws; a casing that houses the pair of screws and includes a supply port; and a roller-die. Each of the screws includes a shaft portion, and a spiral flight portion. The flight portion is formed into a shape in which a radial distance between the surface of the shaft portion and a tip of the flight portion decreases gradually toward a downstream end in an extrusion direction of a kneaded material. The casing has a tapered shape. Within a range between a downstream end of the supply port and a downstream end of the flight portion, a clearance between a top portion of the flight portion and an inner wall surface of the casing at the downstream end of the supply port is larger than a clearance at any other part.
Screw-type extruder
A screw extruder which extrudes a kneaded material includes a screw having a helical flight provided on an outer peripheral surface of a shaft portion thereof, and a chamber housing the screw. In the screw extruder, a flight thickening portion is provided at a part which is a tip portion of the flight and is on the reverse side of a rotation direction of the flight.

It is described an apparatus for the extrusion and mixing of plastic materials, for example rubber-based and silicone-based materials, comprising a dump extruder body whereon two conical screws (2) converging towards an extrusion die (3) suitable for being occluded by closing means (4) are mounted, the conical screws (2) being accommodated within a low-pressure compounding chamber (1) and within a pair of converging conical channels also defining a high-pressure chamber (2′), said low-pressure chamber (1) corresponding to an upstream area with respect to an extrusion direction, wherein said high-pressure chamber (2′) and/or said low-pressure chamber (1) accommodate a presser body (5, 5′, 6), defining a movable wall suitable for causing a controlled change in the volume of the respective chamber (1, 2′).

An apparatus for fabricating a three-dimensional object from deposition of layers made of reinforcement material and of extrudable material is described. The apparatus comprises: an extrusion assembly comprising a feeder having a longitudinal hole adapted for conveying the reinforcement material and wherein the feeder is adapted for conveying the extrudable material at least partly outside the longitudinal hole; a reinforcement material driving mechanism for driving the reinforcement material to the extrusion assembly; and a building platform on which is made the deposition of layers of reinforcement material and of extrudable material.
SCREW EXTRUDER WITH ROLLERS
A screw extruder with rollers includes a screw which extrudes a material; a casing which houses the screw and which is provided with a charging port for the material; and a pair of an upper roller and a lower roller which are arranged in front of the casing and mold the material extruded by the screw into a sheet, in which one of the upper roller and the lower roller has both end portions in an axial direction, and a main body portion between the both end portions, and a cross-section of the main body portion perpendicular to the axial direction has an oval shape.
