A system according to various embodiments can include a source for supplying a material to be treated, an extruder, at least two screws, and a drive coupled to the screws for axially rotating the screws. The extruder includes an inlet for receiving the material, which is fed therein in a controlled manner. The screws are provided within the housing of the extruder. The screws have a plurality of compression and release stages that create mechanical heat which is directly applied to the material to change the mechanical properties of the material thereby facilitating a conversion of a physical state of the material from a non-compactable state to a compactable state as the screws rotate and move the material longitudinally along the screws to produce a final product, for example, a feed tub for use as an animal feed.

Extruder

An extruder has a barrel extending from a feed inlet end to an extruder outlet end. The barrel has an inner surface, an outer surface, and a wall thickness between the inner and outer surfaces. The extruder also has at least one heating member positioned provided on the barrel; a screw drive motor drivingly connected to a rotatably mounted screw positioned within the barrel, whereby the screw is rotatable at various revolutions per minute (RPM); and a controller is operably connected to the screw drive motor to adjust the RPM of the screw based upon a temperature of material passing through and/or being extruded from the barrel. The cross-cut grooves have a second helix angle greater than the first helix angle and less than ninety degrees; and/or one or more of the cross-cut grooves have a third helix angle of about ninety degrees.

FILAMENT ADHESIVE DISPENSER SYSTEM

Provided are systems for dispensing a filament adhesive. The dispensing systems include a dispensing head with a barrel including one or more heating elements, and a rotatable screw received in the barrel, the rotatable screw including at least one mixing element. An inlet extends through a side of the barrel for receiving the filament adhesive. An outlet at a distal end of the barrel for dispensing the filament adhesive in molten form. The dispensing system further includes a filament adhesive having a configuration to be received into the inlet of the dispensing head. Using the provided dispensing systems, and optionally with the assistance of a computer, adhesives can be precisely applied to pre-determined locations on a substrate.

MOLDING APPARATUS, CIGARETTE FILTER ROD AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

A molding apparatus, a cigarette filter rod and a preparation method thereof are disclosed. The molding apparatus comprises a single-screw extrusion system and a cooling setting system. The single-screw extrusion system comprises a feeder and an extruder. The feeder is arranged on the extruder. The extruder comprises a cylinder. A heater is arranged outside the cylinder. A screw is arranged inside the cylinder, and a mouth mold is arranged at one end of the cylinder. The cooling setting system comprises a round tube and a cooler. The cooler (6) is arranged outside the round tube. One end of the round tube is butted with the mouth mold of the extruder; and multiple groups of grooves are formed on threads of the head of the screw.

3D-printer system and 3D-printing method of an elastomerically deformable rubber body, in particular a rubber seal

Disclosed is a novel 3D-printer system for printing elastically deformable rubber parts such as rubber seals where the uncured rubber source material is partially cured before printing each rubber layer of the rubber part. Furthermore, disclosed is a novel 3D printing method for 3D-printing an elastically deformable rubber body using the 3D-printer system.

3D-PRINTER SYSTEM AND 3D-PRINTING METHOD OF AN ELASTOMERICALLY DEFORMABLE RUBBER BODY, IN PARTICULAR A RUBBER SEAL

Disclosed is a novel 3D-printer system for printing elastically deformable rubber parts such as rubber seals where the uncured rubber source material is partially cured before printing each rubber layer of the rubber part. Furthermore, disclosed is a novel 3D printing method for 3D-printing an elastically deformable rubber body using the 3D-printer system.

The extruder includes: a cylinder having a first end portion and a second end portion respectively formed at two ends of the cylinder in an axial direction, and an ejection port formed in the first end portion; a screw including a shaft that is configured to rotate within the cylinder, and a screw blade that is provided on an outer circumferential surface of the shaft; a supplier that is attached to the second end portion side of the cylinder and is configured to supply a kneading target to an inside of the cylinder; and a plurality of protruding members that protrude from an inner wall surface of the cylinder.
