MULTI-STAGE FILTRATION DEVICE
A filter device including a Bernoulli element is provided. The filter device includes a housing, a plurality of permeable membranes positioned in association with the housing to create a plurality of chambers in the housing, and a Bernoulli element positioned within one chamber, wherein the Bernoulli element causes airflow and pressure to vary within the one chamber when fluid comprising smoke is drawn into the filter device.
A GRAPHENE BASED TOBACCO SMOKE FILTER AND A METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING GRAPHENE COMPOSITION
The embodiments herein provide a filter for cigarette comprising graphene nano-composite based material enclosed in a casing. The filter is reusable and is plugged to any cigarette, or tobacco smoking products. The filter is a stand-alone product or manufactured integrally with each individual cigarette. The filter provides a safe smoking option to tobacco smokers without changing their smoking habits by reducing the tar content and other toxic chemicals in the inhaled smoke. The graphene based nanocomposite filter adsorbs the toxic agents from the smoke (of cigarette, beedi, hookah etc). The filter is fabricated by treating ceramic particles and coating them with carbon particles. The carbon particles are carbonized. The ceramic particles coated with carbon are segregated based on shape and size and treated chemically to convert carbon into graphene under inert conditions. The graphene coated particles are chemically functionalized for improved filtration.

FILTER, AN AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE COMPRISING THE SAME, AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE FILTER
A filter included in an aerosol-generating article, according to embodiments, includes a first filter segment including a first filter element in which at least one heterogeneous material particle is contained, a second filter segment including a second filter element, and a wrapper wrapping the first filter segment and the second filter segment, wherein the first filter segment and the second filter segment are aligned in a longitudinal direction of the filter, and the first filter segment and the second filter segment are not physically separated.
FILTER SEGMENT, AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE, AND SYSTEM COMPRISING SAME
A filter segment may include an outer portion including a filter, and an inner portion disposed inside the outer portion and including an airflow barrier surrounded by the filter and configured to retard or block airflow.
HARM-REDUCING CIGARETTE FILTER, PREPARATION METHOND AND APPLICATION THEREOF
A harm-reducing cigarette filter, a method for preparing the cigarette filter and an application of the cigarette filter are disclosed, and the cigarette filter includes six layers from outside to inside: a first layer includes filter cotton with an activated carbon, a second layer includes a five-hole glue, a third layer includes filter cotton, a fourth layer includes filter particles, a fifth layer includes filter cotton with filter fluid, and a sixth layer includes a silica gel cover. The cigarette filter is injection molded by utilizing non-toxic polycarbonate (PC) or polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA). The experimental research shows that the cigarette filter has good adsorption effect on tar and nicotine, and reduces smoking people to absorb harmful substance.
Adsorbent materials
There is provided an adsorbent material comprising a porous carrier material having pores with a diameter greater than 20 nm and carrying additive particles on its external surface, wherein the additive particles comprise an additive and have a diameter of greater than 20 nm. There is also provided a smoking article filter element comprising such an adsorbent material, a smoking article comprising such an adsorbent material, and a method of preparing such an adsorbent material.

Smoking article filters
The present invention relates to improvements in filters for use in smoking articles such as cigarettes, cigars and cigarillos. The improvements, particularly but not exclusively, relate to filter capabilities and to the manufacture of such filters. In one example, a filter for a smoking article comprises a first fibrous filter material having an average fiber denier in the range 7 to 9 and a second fibrous filter material having an average fiber denier of below 7. The application also describes a filter for a smoking article comprising various other filter arrangements including absorbent and/or adsorbent materials.
