CONSUMABLE FOR AN AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
A consumable for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision system including an aerosol-generating segment having at least one aerosol-generating material and a mouthpiece segment including a section of an amorphous solid material. It also relates to a non-combustible aerosol provision system, a method for producing a consumable, and use of a section of an amorphous solid material.
GRAPHENE BASED TOBACCO SMOKE FILTER AND A METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING GRAPHENE COMPOSITION
The embodiments herein provide a filter for cigarette comprising graphene nano-composite based material enclosed in a casing. The filter is reusable and is plugged to any cigarette, or tobacco smoking products. The filter is a stand-alone product or manufactured integrally with each individual cigarette. The filter provides a safe smoking option to tobacco smokers without changing their smoking habits by reducing the tar content and other toxic chemicals in the inhaled smoke. The graphene based nanocomposite filter adsorbs the toxic agents from the smoke of cigarette, beedi, hookah. The filter is fabricated by treating ceramic particles and coating them with carbon particles. The carbon particles are carbonized. The ceramic particles coated with carbon are segregated based on shape and size and treated chemically to convert carbon into graphene under inert conditions. The graphene coated particles are chemically functionalized for improved filtration.
Smoking article having a filter including a capsule
There is provided a smoking article having an aerosol generating substrate and a mouthpiece. The mouthpiece includes a cavity at least partially filled with a particulate material, such as activated carbon, and contains at least one breakable capsule of a liquid flavourant at least partially surrounded by the particulate material, such that the force required to break the capsule within the mouthpiece to release the liquid flavourant is less than three times the inherent burst strength of the capsule.
Universal Filtering Mouthpiece for Smoking Devices
A universal filtering mouthpiece for smoking devices comprising a flexible and substantially conical shaped body having a small diameter end and a large diameter end; a hollow smoke passage which runs axially through the conical shaped body from the small diameter end to the large diameter end; a filter cartridge housing centered axially at the mouthpiece end of the said flexible and substantially conical shaped body which communicates with the hollow smoke passage and capable of housing a removable filter; and a disposable, high-airflow filter cartridge consisting of a rigid cylindrical frame having rounded edges, the rigid cylindrical frame housing a smoke filter inside the inner diameter of said rigid cylindrical frame. The universal filtering mouthpiece for smoking devices is readily implementable across a wide variety of smoking devices such as, but not limited to, pipes, bongs, hookahs, water pipes, electronic cigarettes, cigarettes, and pre-roll cigarettes.
Tobacco-derived carbon material
A method of forming a carbon material from the stalk or roots of a plant of the Nicotiana species is provided herein, wherein the method includes i) receiving a tobacco material comprising at least one of a stalk material and a root material of a harvested plant of the Nicotiana species; and ii) pyrolyzing the tobacco material to remove volatiles and to form a tobacco-derived carbon material. Optionally, the method can further include activating the tobacco-derived carbon material. The tobacco-derived carbon material can be incorporated into a tobacco product. A carbon material derived from pyrolyzing a tobacco material in the form of at least one of a tobacco stalk material and a tobacco root material of a harvested plant of the Nicotiana species is also provided herein.
Additive releasing materials
The invention relates to an additive releasing material comprising a carrier material having on its surface one or more additives, the additive releasing material having a desorption temperature selected to allow controlled temperature-dependent release of the additive(s). The invention further relates to filters and smoking articles including such additive releasing materials, and to methods for preparing the additive releasing materials.
