FILTER FOR SMOKING ARTICLE
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a filter for a smoking article that can reduce a stimulus component such as formaldehyde, and that does not reduce any more than necessary a component affecting the smoke flavor included in mainstream smoke. This problem is solved by providing a smoking article filter comprising a filter segment that has a porous material containing: a hydrotalcite particle; and a nonfibrous binder resin.
CIGARETTE FILTER CONTAINING ALGINITE
The invention relates to a cigarette filter. In particular, the present invention relates to a new cigarette filter, in which materials of natural origin are used that have not been applied in this special field before. More particularly, the present invention relates to a cigarette filter, which can be used for absorbing the toxic components of cigarette smoke, and lowering the tissue damage triggered by cigarette smoke on the respiratory organs, the cardiovascular system and the mucosa. Especially the present invention relates to a cigarette filter containing alginate.

Filter materials including functionalized cellulose
Embodiments described herein provide materials and methods for the absorption or filtration of various species and analytes. In some cases, the materials may be used to remove or reduce the amount of a substance in vapor sample (e.g., cigarette smoke).
Graphene based tobacco smoke filter and a method for synthesizing graphene composition
The embodiments herein provide a filter for cigarette comprising graphene nano-composite based material enclosed in a casing. The filter is reusable and is plugged to any cigarette, or tobacco smoking products. The filter is a stand-alone product or manufactured integrally with each individual cigarette. The filter provides a safe smoking option to tobacco smokers without changing their smoking habits by reducing the tar content and other toxic chemicals in the inhaled smoke. The graphene based nanocomposite filter adsorbs the toxic agents from the smoke (of cigarette, beedi, hookah etc). The filter is fabricated by treating ceramic particles and coating them with carbon particles. The carbon particles are carbonized. The ceramic particles coated with carbon are segregated based on shape and size and treated chemically to convert carbon into graphene under inert conditions. The graphene coated particles are chemically functionalized for improved filtration.

SMOKING PRODUCT, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAID SMOKING PRODUCT, AND METHOD FOR DISTINGUISHING GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON
Provided are: a smoking product that has a tobacco rod and a filter comprising granular activated carbon, wherein the lightness L* value of said granular activated carbon in the CIE Lab color space is 11.50-19.00 and the acetone adsorption capacity is 29.0-41.0% percentage by mass; a method for producing said smoking product; and a method for distinguishing granular activated carbon.
SMOKING SUBSTITUTE CONSUMABLE
The present disclosure relates to smoking substitute consumables, including an aerosol-forming article comprising an aerosol-forming substrate and a terminal filter element at a downstream axial end of the article/consumable. The terminal filter element may comprise a hollow bore extending from an upstream axial end of the terminal filter element to a downstream axial end of the terminal filter element. The hollow bore may be off-set from the axial centre of the terminal filter element.
Graphene adsorbing material, preparation method therefor and application thereof, and cigarette filter tip and cigarette
A graphene adsorbing material, a preparation method therefor and application thereof, and a cigarette filter tip and a cigarette are provided. The graphene adsorbing material comprises a fiber carrier, graphene and doped elements wherein the graphene and the doped elements are loaded on the fiber carrier and the doped elements comprise at least one of Al, Si and Fe. The graphene adsorbing material is obtained by contacting the fibers with the graphene material to load the graphene material on the fibers. By introducing the graphene and the doped elements in the fiber carrier, harmful substances with a type of fused aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzopyrene in smoke can be specifically adsorbed, filtered and removed; while nicotine and the other harmless substances are retained, and thus the smoking taste of a cigarette is not affected. The cigarette filter tip can effectively adsorb cancerogenic substances with a type of fused aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzopyrene in smoke to reduce harm of smoking; meanwhile, the pleasure of smoking and the mellow taste of the smoke are not affected. Besides, the graphene adsorbing material can also prevent the phenomenon that a cigarette holder gets mildewed due to humid environment and the other factors.
