LASER WELDING UTILIZING BROADBAND PULSED LASER SOURCES
Method and system for a laser welding process employing the use of a single pulsed fiber laser source configured to generate a radiative output with a wavelength spectrum extending from about 1.8 microns to about 2.6 microns. In a specific case, the laser output from the single pulsed fiber laser source is focused onto the interface of the two pieces of materials at least one of which includes any of glasses, inorganic crystals, and semiconductors.
Process for laser welding of crosslinked polyethylene
Examples herein relate generally to methods, and associated components, characterized by the laser welding of crosslinked polyethylene plumbing components so as to create a leak-proof connection with both mechanical and thermal fusion bonds.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING RESIN PART
A method for producing a resin part includes: preparing an intermediate body comprising a first member and a second member, the first member containing a resin; and welding the first member with the second member by performing scanning of the intermediate body with a first laser beam and a second laser beam. In the welding of the first member with the second member, the scanning with the first laser beam and the second laser beam is performed in a state in which a center of a second spot is located on a rear side in a direction of the scanning with the first laser beam and the second laser beam as compared to a center of a first spot while at least a part of the first spot and at least a part of the second spot overlap with each other.
STRETCH-BLOWN PLASTIC CONTAINER WITH A HANDLE REGION MADE INTEGRAL AND METHOD OF PRODUCTION FOR THE PLASTIC CONTAINER
A stretch-blown plastic container, includes a container body which encloses a filling volume with a container bottom; a container neck which adjoins an opposite end of the container body, having a container opening and an integrated handle region, the handle region being hollow and joined to the filling volume which is enclosed by the container body; and between the handle region and the container body, a through opening recessed and bordered over its entire periphery by wall parts of the container body and of the handle region which have been welded to one another.
WAVEGUIDE SEGMENT FOR PLASTIC WELDING, ARRANGEMENT FOR PLASTIC WELDING, A WELDING METHOD AS WELL AS A MANUFACTURING METHOD OF A WAVEGUIDE SEGMENT
A waveguide segment with two sub-segments including a first sub-segment with a first wall and a second wall, each having an inner face by which laser light can be reflected. The inner faces are opposite to each other and a depth of the sub-segment is defined by a distance between the first and the second inner face. Further, each wall has an exit side, and an opposite entry side, a height defined by the distance between the exit and the entry side and a width. At least part of the entry side of each wall extends in an angle to the height, for which applies: 0<<90. The second sub-segment may be formed complementary and the second sub-segment has a portion at the exit side of each wall. Laser light passing through the second sub-segment enters the first sub-segment between the first and the second portion.
METHOD FOR WELDING A CONNECTION BETWEEN A FIRST JOINING SURFACE OF A FIRST MOLDED PART AND A SECOND JOINING SURFACE OF A SECOND MOLDED PART
The invention relates to a method for welding a connection between a first joining surface of a first molded part and a second joining surface of a second molded part, which by means of a clamping device are moved and braced with their joining surfaces in contact with one another, wherein the first molded part is at least partially transparent for a primary beam of a first radiation source and at least partially absorbent for a secondary beam of a second radiation source, and the second molded part is at least partially absorbent for the primary beam, wherein sequentially the second molded part is irradiated with the primary beam and the first molded part is irradiated with the secondary beam.
BINDING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR SECURING A PART OF A BINDING ELEMENT IN A LOOP AROUND ONE OR MORE OBJECTS
A binding machine comprising: a feeding device for feeding a binding element (3) in the form of a wire or strap around one or more objects and subsequently retracting the binding element to draw it tightly around said objects; and a laser welding device (12) for forming a welded joint between a first section at the leading end of the binding element and an adjoining second section at the trailing end of the part (3a) of the binding element fed around said objects to thereby secure this part of the binding element in a loop around the objects. The laser welding device directs a laser beam onto an area (30) at the trailing end of said second section in order to reduce the tensile strength of the binding element, wherein the feeding device retracts the binding element in order to subject this area to tensile stress and thereby cause the binding element to be broken off.
Laser welded structure, electronic controller and manufacture method for laser welded structure
A laser welded structure is formed by laser welding together a resin molded body formed from a thermoplastic polymer alloy containing a crystalline resin and an amorphous resin and a metal body made of a metal. A glass transition temperature of the amorphous resin is lower than a melting start temperature of the crystalline resin.
Sealing apparatus for cryopreservation bag
There is provided a sealing apparatus for a cryopreservation bag, with which a sealing treatment of an inlet/outlet of the cryopreservation bag is carried out automatically and anyone can safely and properly carry out the sealing treatment. The sealing apparatus includes: a bag clamping device 56; a laser device 57; and a scanning structure 58 for moving the bag clamping device 56, for example. The bag clamping device 56 includes a fixed pinching block 67, a movable pinching block 69, and a clamp actuator 70. The laser device 57 includes a laser oscillator 104 and a condensing lens 107. The fixed pinching block 67 includes a block base 73, a heat radiator 74, and a heat radiator holder 75. An infrared laser beam is radiated to a sealed portion 55 of the bag to form a seal bead 125 for sealing in a state in which the sealed portion 55 is pinched and fixed by the heat radiator 74 and the movable pinching block 69 and while the bag clamping device 56, for example, is moved by the scanning structure 58.
