JOINT BODY OF DIFFERENT MATERIALS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The present specification relates to a joint body of different materials, and a method of manufacturing the same. The joint body includes a metal layer; and a resin layer provided on and in contact with one surface of the metal layer. The metal layer comprises two or more etching grooves and two or more burrs provided on a surface of the metal layer adjacent to the etching grooves.
VEHICLE LAMP
A vehicle lamp includes a lamp housing having an inner space and a welding surface, and a cover disposed adjacent to another vehicle lamp, and configured to cover the inner space and join to the lamp housing by laser welding. The cover includes a design surface in which an outer surface of an outer peripheral portion is formed as a curved surface and a welding leg that protrudes from a portion near the outer peripheral portion in the design surface. An annular portion on an inner peripheral side of the curved surface on an outer surface of the design surface is formed as a laser light incident surface. The curved surface is positioned on an outer peripheral side from an intersection point of a virtual line and the outer surface of the design.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LASER-WELDING TUBULAR COMPONENTS USING A SINGLE, FIXED OPTICAL REFLECTOR WITH MULTIPLE REFLECTING SURFACES
Device and method for laser welding around a circumference of a workpiece. A fixed, non-movable unitary optical reflector is provided, which has a pair of optical reflecting surface portions on a first side surface and a second side surface, respectively, arranged at an obtuse angle relative to each other. A workpiece is positioned and fixed in an assembly that includes the unitary optical reflector. During setup, the vertical distance is adjusted between the unitary optical reflector and the workpiece along an axis that is transverse to a longitudinal axis of the workpiece without any adjustment of the reflecting surfaces, which remain fixed during setup. The first and second side surfaces define a curve that is transverse to the longitudinal axis. Once setup has been completed, a laser beam is directed so that it moves along the optical reflector to thereby produce a 360 degree circumferential weld around the workpiece.
Absorbent article with fusion bonded side seams
A pull-on diaper 50B of the invention includes an outer cover assembly 3 defining the exterior surface of the diaper. A front body portion F and a rear body portion R of the outer cover assembly 3 are connected to each other along their laterally opposite side edges to form a pair of side seams 4, a waist opening 8, and a pair of leg openings 9. Each side seam 4 has a sealed edge portion 41 where the front body portion side edge 3F and the rear body portion side edge 3R of the outer cover assembly 3 are bonded to each other at a continuous linear fusion bond extending in the longitudinal direction of the side seam and, in part, a non-sealed portion 42 where the front body portion side edge 3F and the rear body portion side edge 3R of the outer cover assembly face to each other in a non-bonded relationship.
A 3-fabric layer insulation material and a method and an arrangement for producing the same
This invention describes a 3-layer insulation material (10) comprising a first fabric layer (12), a second fabric layer (14) and a third fluted intermediate fabric layer (16) between the first and the second fabric layers (12, 14), the fluted intermediate fabric layer (16) being attached alternately to the first and the second fabric layer (12, 14) with longitudinal seams (18a-18n) forming longitudinal channels (20a-20n) for the insulation material (22) having individual insulation material (22) bundle in-side each longitudinal channel (20a-20n). Also disclosed are a method and an arrangement for producing the same.
METHOD FOR WELDING A CONNECTION BETWEEN A FIRST JOINING SURFACE OF A FIRST MOLDED PART AND A SECOND JOINING SURFACE OF A SECOND MOLDED PART
The invention relates to a method for welding a connection between a first joining surface of a first molded part and a second joining surface of a second molded part, which by means of a clamping device are moved and braced with their joining surfaces in contact with one another, wherein the first molded part is at least partially transparent for a primary beam of a first radiation source and at least partially absorbent for a secondary beam of a second radiation source, and the second molded part is at least partially absorbent for the primary beam, wherein sequentially the second molded part is irradiated with the primary beam and the first molded part is irradiated with the secondary beam.
Collar for sealing a battery module
The present disclosure relates to a battery module that includes a housing having a first absorptive material configured to absorb a laser emission, a cover having a second absorptive material configured to absorb the laser emission, and a collar configured coupled to the housing and coupled to the cover via a laser weld. The collar includes a transparent material configured to transmit the laser emission through the collar and toward the housing or the cover.
