THERMALLY LAMINATED TAB LINER
Liner having an induction heat sealable layer for sealing to a rim of a container, and a pull tab for ease of removal of the liner from the container rim. An insert is disposed between multilayer upper and lower components, has a heat bondable polyolefin layer that is thermally laminated to polyolefin layers of the upper and lower components, forming a pull tab between the integrated polyolefin layers. The resulting composite resists delamination and can be formed in a single thermal lamination step, avoiding the multiple lamination steps, associated high equipment costs, and complex layer constructions of the prior art.
Portable system for bonding pipes
A kit for fusing piping includes a plurality of couplings, each coupling having a susceptor layer concentric with a weld zone. A control unit provides a current to a wand with a handle for gripping by a user. The handle has opposing jaws mounted on the distal end, each jaw including an arcuate conductor such that the arcuate conductors form a circular inner diameter when the jaws make contact. A lever system couples to the distal end for opening and closing the jaws. The lever system includes a spring for selectively biasing the lever system in a latched position with jaws closed and an open position with the jaws open. Each coupling is sized such that the jaws will only close about the weld zone. The arcuate conductors create a fuse zone about the susceptor layer and the spring is outside the fuse zone.

INDUCTION HEATING SEALING DEVICE
An induction heating sealing device (30) for sealing a packaging material comprising an electrically conductive layer and advancing, in use, along a first direction (A), said induction heating sealing device (30) comprising an inductive element (100), said inductive element (100) comprising a first leg (31) extending along said first direction (A) and within which, in use, an alternate currents flows, said first leg (31) facing, in use, an area (44) of said packaging material to be sealed and being configured to induce, in use, an eddy current within said area (44), and a second leg (32) arranged on one side of said first leg (31) and facing a further area (45) of said packaging material, wherein said first leg (31) comprises at least one first portion (41) and at least one second portion (42) spaced apart from one another in a second direction (S) transversal to said first direction (A).
ADJUSTABLE SEALING HEAD FOR A FOIL SEALING DEVICE
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, an adjustable induction foil sealing device is used to hermetically seal a container. The device can be adjusted to accommodate differently sized containers. The device includes a power supply cabinet, first and second rail assemblies and an adjustment assembly coupling the rail assemblies together and coupling the rail assemblies to the cabinet. Each rail assembly has an induction sealing coil and conductive contacts. The contacts on the rail assemblies are in electrical contact with the contacts on the cabinet. The adjustment assembly is configured to adjust the relative positions of the rail assemblies relative to each other and relative to the cabinet, while maintaining the electrical connection of the contacts.
Weldable thermoplastic composite composites
The invention relates to the use of a low Tg compatible resin as an adhesive layer for the welding of a thermoplastic composite structure to a thermoplastic or thermoset structure. The invention is especially good for the welding of large parts, such as wind turbine halves and spar caps. A useful thermoplastic composite is one formed by the infusion and curing of long fibers by a reactive acrylic liquid resin system, such as ELIUM resin systems from Arkema.
ADHESIVE AND STRUCTURE, AND ADHESION METHOD
Provided is an adhesive that can provide quick bonding between thermoplastic resins and excellent bond strength, a structure having adhesion provided by the adhesive, and an adhesion method using the adhesive. The adhesive bonds a first member (11) containing a thermoplastic resin or a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin and a second member (12) containing the thermoplastic resin or the carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin. The adhesive includes a thermoplastic resin as a main component containing a metal nano material that absorbs electromagnetic waves and generates heat.
Induction welding system
A method and apparatus for performing induction welding. A number of protective layers are positioned between a susceptor layer and at least one of a plurality of workpieces at a weld location. An undesired current path is prevented from forming at the weld location during induction heating of the plurality of workpieces by the number of protective layers.
Apparatus for sealing an open end of a container
An apparatus for sealing an open end of a package comprises a first longitudinally extending sealing jaw, bearing mounted on a first eccentric shaft rotatable around a first rotational axis, and a second longitudinally extending sealing jaw, bearing mounted on a second eccentric shaft rotatable around a second rotational axis, the second sealing jaw being parallel with the first sealing jaw. At least one motor drives rotation around the first and second rotational axis in opposite directions, wherein the first and the second sealing jaws oppose each other, and are allowed to oscillate between sealing and open positions by moving towards and away from each other. A first and second transversally extending guiding bar cooperate with the first and second eccentric shaft via guiding pins running in guiding grooves, such that transverse play between the first and the second eccentric shaft and the first and second sealing jaw is allowed.
Conformable Induction Coils for Induction Joining
A method and apparatus for joining parts. A plurality of conformable induction coils embedded in a number of elastomeric sheets is positioned relative to a first composite part of the parts and a second composite part of the parts. A magnetic field is generated with the plurality of conformable induction coils. The magnetic field is configured to generate heat in a magnetically permeable material at a joint location. The heat joins the first composite part and the second composite part to each other.
