Apparatus and method for automatic tire ply stitching
An automatic splicing apparatus and methods thereof are provided herein for splicing together two ends of a sheet of tire material on a tire building drum. The apparatus comprises a frame, a splicer foot assembly, and a splicer roller assembly. The frame is configured to support the apparatus relative to the drum. The splicer foot assembly and the splicer roller assembly are independently longitudinally translatable relative to the frame. The splicer foot assembly includes a splicer foot having forward lower preparation rollers and rearward lower splicer rollers, and upper preparation rollers configured to operate in coordination with the forward lower preparation rollers to pull the two ends of the sheet of tire material together over the splicer foot. The splicer roller assembly includes upper splicer rollers configured to act in coordination with the rearward lower splicer rollers to splice the two ends together.
Feedback system and method for automatically adjusting and controlling infrared heating of parts
Systems and methods of controlling outputs of infrared heaters used to join a first part to a second part, and a component made thereby. Upper and lower nests hold the first and second parts, respectively. A movable heating platen has infrared heaters on opposite surfaces. Imaging sensors have fields of view encompassing heated portions of the first and second parts, respectively, when the platen is retracted away from an area between the upper and lower nests. A controller causes the upper and lower nests to move while causing the platen to extend into and retract away from the area between the upper and lower nests. The first imaging sensor takes a first image of the heated portions of the first part, which causes an adjustment to be made to an output of the infrared heaters in a subsequent welding cycle.
Assembly and method of coupling pipes
A jig assembly and method of use are provided for positioning and re-rounding pipes for welding. The jig assembly comprises a first jaw assembly and a second jaw assembly which position and move a coupling onto one pipe then the second pipe for subsequent welding.
INDUCTIVE WELDING OF WORKPIECES
A system for controlled induction welding of at least one weld seam area (A) of at least two surfaces of at least one workpiece is provided. The system comprises an inductor configured to be arranged in conjunction with the at least one workpiece, a processing means configured to generate an electromagnetic field by applying an alternating voltage to the inductor so as to inductively heat at least one of the surfaces so that the weld seam area (A) is welded together, simultaneously measure at least one parameter (P) of the at least one workpiece at least based on the generated electromagnetic field, detect a change of the at least one parameter (P), and determine a temperature estimation of the at least one workpiece based on said detected change.
Welding joining method and welding joined body
Provided is a welding joining method for joining end portions of first and second pipes made of polyamide resin by bonding the end portions to each other by pressure in a molten state. The welding joining method includes: a placing step of placing an infrared radiation lamp between the first and second pipes placed to face each other at an interval; a heating and melting step of heating and melting the end portions of the first and second pipes by emitting infrared; and a pressure bonding step of cooling down the molten end portions in a state where the molten end portions are bonded to each other by pressure.
CONTAINER FOR HEATING PLATES FOR BUTT WELDING PIPES
A container for heating plates for butt welding pipes has one or more walls forming at least one receptacle for containing a heating plate; an insulation means surrounds the receptacle and is adapted to thermally insulate the receptacle from the surrounding environment.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR JOINING PIPE
A method of joining segments of non-metallic pipe and an apparatus that may be used to form the joint. The pipes may be joined using by melting the ends to form a butt joint, then the joint may be wrapped with one or more sheets of reinforcement material (e.g., pre-impregnated fiberglass, carbon fiber, or aramid fiber). The reinforcement material may be heated using a heating apparatus which allows the material to bond to the pipes to strengthen the joint.
DEVICE FOR WELDING PLASTIC TUBES
A tube welder including a clamp block configured to receive a tube, a carriage movable along a first axis, and a slide rail coupling the clamp block to the carriage such that the clamp block is configured to move along a second axis between the carriage and the clamp block. The tube welder further including a spring biasing the clamp block in a first direction along the second axis and a linkage configured to move the clamp block in the first direction and in a second direction along the second axis, opposite the first direction.
Ultrasonic welding of fabrics for sleep apnea treatment
A respiratory apparatus may employ ultrasonic welds. The ultrasonic welding may be used to join a variety of headgear, mask and accessory components. This process may enhance comfort, fit and/or performance of the joined components and/or overall mask assembly. A component may be a single layer component such as a textile or fabric, or a composite or multiple layer component such as fabric and foam composites, or outer fabric layers and inner spacer fabrics. Further, a component may be a strap, some other headgear component, a mask component, an accessory component or the like.
BIAXIALLY ORIENTED PIPE WITH A THICKENED END PORTION
In an aspect, a biaxially oriented pipe has a thickened end portion. The end portion has the same inner diameter as the biaxially oriented pipe and has a larger thickness than the biaxially oriented pipe. The end portion is made of the same thermoplastic polymer composition as the biaxially oriented pipe.
