Connection structure of resin tube and resin joint and connection method thereof
A resin joint 20 includes an outer cylinder 21 molded by a resin material capable of transmitting laser light and an inner cylinder 22 disposed facing the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 21. An annular protrusion 22b that protrudes in the radial direction and extends in the circumferential direction is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 21 or the outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder 22. The axial end of the resin tube 10 is inserted into an annular space 30 and is deformed in the radial direction following the annular protrusion 22b, and a region deformed in the radial direction has a surface that is in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 21. The inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 21 and the outer peripheral surface of the resin tube 10 are laser-welded.
METHODS FOR DETERMINING A MELT LAYER THICKNESS ASSOCIATED WITH A PREDETERMINED WELD STRENGTH BASED ON A CORRELATION THEREBETWEEN
A method for optimizing a welding process to produce a weld joint having a predetermined strength includes measuring a plurality of melt layer thicknesses of weld joints for a plurality of sample assemblies formed by the welding process, measuring a plurality failure loads of weld joints for the plurality of sample assemblies, each of the measured plurality of failures loads being associated with one of the measured plurality of melt layer thicknesses, selecting a first failure load from the plurality of measured failure loads responsive to determining that the first failure load corresponds to a predetermined weld strength, and selecting a first melt layer thickness from the plurality of measured melt layer thicknesses that is associated with the selected first measured failure load.
Electromagnetic induction welding of fluid distribution systems
Installation fittings for use with induction weldable pipe connectors for assembling multi-layer pipe fluid distribution systems. Induction welding pipe connectors including a major central pipe connector section and a minor lateral pipe connector section pair having reduced thickness relative to the major central pipe connector section. Induction welding pipe connectors with integral solder flow barrier for assembling fluid distribution systems. Electromagnetic induction coil reverse action pliers for use with induction weldable pipe connectors for assembling fluid distribution systems.
WING-BOX STRUCTURE
A wing-box structure for an aircraft is disclosed having an upper cover, a lower cover, longitudinal forward and rearward spars, and a plurality of transverse ribs. One of the transverse ribs is retained by a pair of opposed captive features disposed on an interior side of either the forward and rearward spars or the upper and lower covers. The rib is bonded rib to the forward and rearward spars and/or the upper and lower covers at a location where the rib is retained.
Assembly and method of coupling pipes
A jig assembly and method of use are provided for positioning and re-rounding pipes for welding. The jig assembly comprises a first jaw assembly and a second jaw assembly which position and move a coupling onto one pipe then the second pipe for subsequent welding.
Compression collars for coupling a tube to a tube fitting
A coupling assembly includes: a tubular compression collar having a tubular body made of a resiliently flexible polymeric material and having an interior surface and an opposing exterior surface; an end of a tube disposed within a throughway of the compression collar; and a tube fitting disposed within the passageway of the tube. The tube fitting includes: a tubular stem; a flange radially outwardly projecting from an exterior surface of the stem; and an annular barb encircling and radially outwardly projecting from the exterior surface of the stem, the annular barb including a frustoconical outside face that extends along and outwardly slopes away from the stem as the outside face extends toward the flange. The compression collar radially inwardly compresses the tube against the annular barb of the tube fitting so that a liquid tight seal is formed between the tube and the tube fitting.
Methods of using compression collars for coupling a tube to a tube fitting
A method for coupling a tube to a tube fitting includes radially outwardly expanding a tubular compression collar from a constricted state to an expanded state, the compression collar having a throughway extending there through and being made of a resiliently flexible material. An end of the tube is inserted within the throughway of the expanded compression collar, the tube bounding a passage. A tube fitting is inserted within the passage of the tube. The compression collar is allowed to resiliently rebound back towards the constricted state so that the compression collar pushes the tube against the tube fitting.
Device for connecting a tubular element, a combination of a device with a tubular element and a bonding compound, as well as a method for connecting the device with a tubular element
A device for connecting a tubular element such as a hose or pipe to a part of a hydraulic or pneumatic system includes: a body having a connection end and a tubular element insertion end, the body having a cylindrical channel extending from the connection end to the tubular element insertion end, the connection end being connecting to the part of the hydraulic or pneumatic system, the cylindrical channel including a first part and a second part, the first part being arranged in the tubular element insertion end and the second part being arranged in the connection end. The tubular element insertion end includes at a middle section a recess extending radially from the first part of the cylindrical channel, along an entire circumference, the recess bordering the second part of the cylindrical channel. The tubular element insertion end includes at least one bore.
Apparatus for manufacturing a container
An apparatus for manufacturing a container that includes a side wall (5) in the form of a tube and a base (7) at one end of the tube. The apparatus includes a tube forming unit (15) for progressively folding a length of a sheet (19) of a side wall material into an elongate tube shape (21) having a forward end (23) for receiving a base (7) of the container and welding together lengthwise extending sides of the sheet to form the tube. The apparatus also includes a base attachment unit (17) for positioning a base of the container on the forward end of the tube.
