Portable system for bonding pipes
A kit for fusing piping includes a plurality of couplings, each coupling having a susceptor layer concentric with a weld zone. A control unit provides a current to a wand with a handle for gripping by a user. The handle has opposing jaws mounted on the distal end, each jaw including an arcuate conductor such that the arcuate conductors form a circular inner diameter when the jaws make contact. A lever system couples to the distal end for opening and closing the jaws. The lever system includes a spring for selectively biasing the lever system in a latched position with jaws closed and an open position with the jaws open. Each coupling is sized such that the jaws will only close about the weld zone. The arcuate conductors create a fuse zone about the susceptor layer and the spring is outside the fuse zone.
Resin end-face butt joint, method for welding the joints, and piping member
A resin end-face butt joint, a method for welding the joints, and a piping member ensure a sufficient clamping margin with the clamp of an ordinary welding machine, and ensure an appropriate distance between the centers even when joints having short tubular welding ring parts are welded. It is also possible to align the centers by positioning the centers along the same axis. The resin end-face butt joint includes multiple welding ring parts which communicate with a flow path within a joint base part and which are provided on the joint base part. Fastening parts are coaxial with at least one of these welding ring parts at the outer end of the joint for the purpose of clamping a welding machine.
Rotatable Pipe Adapter
A pipe adapter includes a first tubular element having a first portion, a second portion axially adjacent the first portion, and a securing portion adjacent an end of the second portion opposite the first portion, the second portion defining a socket; a second tubular element having a first portion and a second portion axially adjacent the first portion, the first portion defining a distal end sized for insertion into the socket and having a radially extending stop; an annular sealing member. The securing portion is formed integrally with the second portion of the first tubular element and has a flange portion contacting the stop to secure the second tubular element axially relative to the first tubular element while also allowing the second tubular element to rotate relative to the first tubular element.
Metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe, method for manufacturing same and pipeline produced using said pipe
The polymeric pipes reinforced with a metal casing are used for transporting oil and gas, acids, alkali products, drinking water and industrial water, and also in the transportation of aggressive and neutral pulps. A metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe includes a welded metal casing and a polymeric matrix having an amorphous-phase-based molecular structure. The metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe is produced by extrusion moulding with simultaneous feeding of a polymer melt and the reinforcing metal casing into the mould cavity, followed by intensive cooling of the internal and external surfaces of the pipe being moulded. The invention increases the quality and endurance limit in the radial direction of the metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe, productivity of the process for manufacturing the pipe, and also the strength and technological effectiveness of a pipeline constructed from the pipes produced.
CONDUIT COUPLING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A coupling may be configured to receive and secure an insertion end of a conduit. An outer surface of the insertion end of the conduit may be smooth and free of grooves, flanges and beads. A first member of the coupling may define a first passageway. A second member of the coupling may define a second passageway. The first member may be in spin weld engagement with the second member. A gripping ring having an inner edge defining a series of teeth may be disposed within the second member. A support ring and O-ring may also be disposed within the second member.
Welding joint and welding method for same, welding device, welding joint, resin pipe welding device and welding method
A synthetic resin-made welding joint that has a pipe end portion into which an end portion of a synthetic resin-made tube is to be fitted and inserted, and that is configured so that the pipe end portion and the tube end portion which is fitted and inserted thereinto are enabled to be welded together by heating of heating means which externally surrounds the pipe end portion, therefore, a synthetic resin-made holder which is fitted and attached onto the pipe end portion is disposed, and a flange for ensuring a radial expansion gap with respect to the heating means is integrally formed in the holder.

ELECTROFUSION SADDLE
An electrofusion saddle comprising: a thermoplastic body comprising a flange and optionally a spigot which erects from said flange; and a resistance heating coil including multiple windings, wherein said resistance heating coil is partially embedded in said flange and is partially protruding from said flange, wherein the protrusion is of at least 25% of an average external diameter of said multiple windings.
INDUCTION HEATED CORNER KEYS
An induction heatable corner key, including a generally L-shaped body having an electrically conductive portion and an electrically non-conductive portion wherein the electrically conductive portion is formed of a material that is subject to inductive heating and of sufficient mass to transfer heat to the electrically non-conductive portion and to render the non-conductive portion at least partially molten. And, A method of joining polymer parts, including preassembling at least a first polymer frame part and a second polymer frame part with an induction heatable corner key coupling the first polymer part to the second polymer part and subjecting at least a portion of the induction heatable corner key and at least a portion of each of the first polymer part and the second polymer part to induction heating sufficient to render them molten, terminating the induction heating, and allowing the molten portions to cool and harden.
