Devices and methods for delivering an endocardial device

Systems for partitioning a ventricle of a heart include a partitioning device or implant, and an applicator for inserting, repositioning and/or removing the partitioning device. The implant may support the ventricle wall and may reduce the volume of the ventricle. The delivery system for delivering and deploying a partitioning device into a ventricle may include a catheter having a distal coupling element for coupling to a partitioning device in a collapsed configuration; the catheter may also have an expansion member for applying force to the partitioning device to fully expand it into a deployed configuration and to secure or seal it against the ventricle wall.

An electrode package includes an electrode pad to be attached to a subject, the electrode pad having a gel layer, a lead wire having one end electrically coupled to the gel layer, and a packaging cover having an opening portion, the opening portion being sealed such that the electrode pad and a part of the lead wire are housed inside the packaging cover. A sealing width in at least a part of a section where the packaging cover is sealed together with the lead wire is narrower than a sealing width in a section where only the packaging cover is sealed. A sealing apparatus is configured to seal the packaging cover.

Fluoropolymer hollow fiber membrane with fluoro-copolymer and fluoro-terpolymer bonded end portion(s)

A hollow fiber membrane fluid transport device is disclosed wherein the fibers are comprised of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and the potting materials are comprised of fluorocopolymer and or fluoroterpolymer based materials. The potting of the device utilizes a compressed chemically resistant fluorocopolymer and or fluoroterpolymer film, allows for ease of manufacture without destruction of the PTFE hollow fibers, with high packing densities, and without the processing complexity of pre-melting, extruding, or chemical crosslinking of any polymeric adhesives. Furthermore, the PTFE hollow fibers can be treated with a fluoropolymeric solvent solution before the chemically resistant film is applied to enhance the adhesion of the PTFE fiber to the film. PTFE hollow fibers, and its respective fluoro-co and terpolymers as potting films impart high packing densities, superb chemical resistance and temperature resistance without membrane contamination, or low fiber pull strength, as is sometimes observed with standard potting materials such as polyurethane and epoxy.

Adhesive activation system for rounded surfaces

An adhesive application system for rounded surfaces of a product. The adhesive activation system include a product body having a round outer perimeter, a band configured to fit along the outside of the round outer perimeter, a plurality of pressure pads arranged positioned along a curved pathway, a support configured to hold the product body such that the outer perimeter aligns with the curved pathway and one or more actuators coupled to each of the pressure pads and configured to move the pressure pads between a contracted position wherein curved inner sides of the pressure pads are substantially aligned with the curved pathway and thereby compress the band onto the round outer perimeter and an extended position wherein the curved inner sides are spaced away from the curved pathway.

Heat sealing apparatus for a battery

A battery includes a battery element, a housing body, and a valve device. The housing body houses the battery element. The valve device is in communication with the inside of the housing body. Heat-sealable resin layers face each other in a peripheral edge portion of the housing body. A joined edge portion in which the mutually facing heat-sealable resin layers are fused together is formed in the peripheral edge portion of the housing body. The valve device is configured to reduce an internal pressure of the housing body if the internal pressure is increased due to gas generated in the housing body. The valve device includes a first portion that is located on an outer side of an edge of the joined edge portion and a second portion that is sandwiched between the heat-sealable resin layers in the joined edge portion.
