A PACKAGING ASSEMBLY FOR FORMING AND SEALING A PLURALITY OF PACKS CONTAINING A POURABLE FOOD PRODUCT
There is described a packaging assembly configured to form and seal a plurality of packs for containing a pourable food product starting from a tube of packaging material; the packaging assembly comprises a pair of tracks and at least a pair of moving elements, which are cyclically movable along the tracks, respectively; each moving element comprises one forming unit configured to cooperate with the tube so as to surround a portion of the tube destined to form a main portion of one respective pack; and one sealing unit configured to cooperate with the tube to sequentially seal the tube at predetermined consecutive cross sections, each pair of consecutive cross sections forming opposite sealing bands of one respective pack; each forming unit is mounted onto the respective moving element in a linearly movable manner towards and away from the sealing unit mounted onto the same moving element.
Anvil and ultrasonic sealing apparatus
An anvil of an ultrasonic sealing apparatus that includes a horn provided with a strip-shaped vibration applying surface at an end face thereof, the anvil being provided with an abutment surface at an end face thereof, the ultrasonic sealing apparatus sandwiching a laminate of two or more sheets between the vibration applying surface and the abutment surface and melting thermoplastic resin on the sheets by ultrasonic vibration delivered to the vibration applying surface, thereby bonding the laminate. The abutment surface includes a strip-shaped welding surface portion projected toward the horn, and the end face thereof is opposed to the vibration applying surface, and a plurality of block members arranged along the strip-shaped welding surface portion in an extending direction of the welding surface portion without being in contact with each other, and the plurality of block members has a height equal to or lower than the welding surface portion.
Ultrasonic sealing apparatus
An ultrasonic sealing apparatus which allows for easy maintenance of a horn and high cooling efficiency of the horn is provided. The ultrasonic sealing apparatus includes a horn that abuts on a cylindrical material and applies vibration thereto, and a horn cover which includes a small frames that cover a lateral surface of the horn and have slits through which a space in which the horn is enclosed communicates with outside, the horn cover being removably attached independently from the horn.
Ultrasonic welding systems and methods using dual, synchronized horns on opposite sides of parts to be joined
An ultrasonic system and method for sealing a complex interface, such as a Gable top, having multiple and a variety of layers across the interface, or an oval or round spout having a complex geometry. The system includes two ultrasonic horns arranged opposite a gap between which the interface is provided. The frequency and phase of the ultrasonic energy are synchronized as the energy is applied simultaneously while the interface is pressed between a jaw and the energy is applied to both sides of the interface. Only one application of the frequency- and phase-synchronized ultrasonic energy is required to hermetically seal all the layers of the interface together.
Anvil for transversally sealing a tube of packaging material and sealing jaw having an anvil
An anvil for transversally sealing a tube having a longitudinal seam portion can include a first elongate contact surface and a second elongate contact surface. In some embodiments, the first elongate contact surface includes a first groove and the second elongate contact surface includes a second groove, each one of the first groove and the second groove being adapted to receive, in use, a respective section of the longitudinal seam portion of the tube. The first elongate contact surface can include a first seam interaction portion positioned within the first groove and having a first surface profile. The second elongate contact surface can include a second seam interaction portion positioned within the second groove and having a second surface profile. In some embodiments, the first surface profile differs from the second surface profile.
MECHANICAL CONNECTION FOR PANELS
Mechanical connection for panels at their edge sides (5, 10) which are to be connected to one another, wherein adjacent first and second panels (1, 2) can be locked in the horizontal and vertical direction by a substantially perpendicular joining movement, wherein, for vertical locking, a locking edge (8) is arranged on the first panel (1) and a locking element (6), which can be displaced relative to the panels (1, 2), is arranged on the second panel (2), which locking element can be displaced behind the locking edge (8) by a pivoting movement. The locking element (6) has a locking projection (17) for displacing behind the locking edge (8) and an arcuate guide arm (16) which is guided in a guide groove (7) of the second panel (2) and is designed to be partially withdrawn from the guide groove (7) with a rotary or pivoting movement of the locking element by virtue of a leg (18), which projects from the guide groove (7), of the locking element (6) coming into contact with the first panel (1) when being set down in a region below the locking edge (8).
Apparatus and process for packaging a product
An apparatus for packaging a product comprises a packaging assembly to fix a film sheet to a support. The packaging assembly includes a lower tool having seats for receiving the support and an upper tool facing the lower tool and comprising a film holding plate for holding the film sheet. The film holding plate has an active surface for receiving the film sheet, where the upper and lower tools cooperating to define a packaging chamber. The packaging assembly is open to receive the film sheet in a first operating condition and is hermetically closed in a second operating condition. The film holding plate has a lateral surface extending substantially perpendicular to a plane defined by the active surface, the film holding plate comprising ejectors arranged in the lateral surface for ejecting a stream of gas substantially parallel to said plane and substantially away from a center of the active surface.
