Absorbent article and method for manufacturing same
In order to prevent degradation of appearance, prevent a decrease in flexibility, and improve non-elasticity in a non-stretchable region in an elastic film stretchable structure, the invention is characterized by having an elastic film stretchable structure (20X) formed by stacking an elastic film (30) between a first sheet layer (20A) and a second sheet layer (20B), wherein a region having the elastic film stretchable structure (20X) includes a non-stretchable region (70) and a stretchable region (80) provided at least at one side of the non-stretchable region (70) in a stretching and contracting direction, the stretchable region (80) being stretchable in the stretching and contracting direction, the first sheet layer (20A) and the second sheet layer (20B) are joined via through holes (31) penetrating the elastic film (30) at the large number of sheet bond portions (40) arranged at intervals, and the non-stretchable region (70) does not have a section in which the elastic film (30) linearly continues along the stretching and contracting direction, due to presence of the through holes (31), even though the elastic film (30) continues in the stretching and contracting direction.
METAL-RESIN JOINING DEVICE
A metal-resin joining device joins a thermoplastic resin plate (12) to a metal plate (13) by melting the resin plate (12) in contact with the metal plate (13) through heating an exposed face of the metal plate (13) by one-sided resistive heating. The metal-resin joining device has a center electrode (24a) that is brought in contact with the metal plate (13) and a peripheral electrode (24b) that is brought in contact with the metal plate (13) to annularly surround the center electrode (24a) and to which a current flows from the center electrode (24a) via the metal plate (13), wherein the peripheral electrode (24b) is made of a metal material having a higher electrical resistance than the center electrode (24a).
Packaging for a group of at least two containers made of plastics material
The containers are thermoformed in groups, filled, and closed. Then, the containers are separated, and placed adjacent to one another in such a manner that segments of their respective rims face each other and define between them a line of separation. On said line, at least one spot weld is formed that forms a breakable connection between the facing rim segments.
BONDING OBJECTS TOGETHER
A method of bonding a connector to a first object includes providing the connector, the connector being separate from the first object and including a thermoplastic material; arranging the first object and the connector relative to one another so that the connector reaches from a proximal side of the object through a first opening in the object; generating and applying vibrations and mechanical pressure to the connector until a flow portion of the thermoplastic material is liquefied and caused to flow sideways radially into an open space; and removing the source of the vibrations and causing the liquefied thermoplastic material to re-solidify, resulting in the connector with a foot portion, a head portion, and a shaft portion between the foot portion and the head portion. The shaft portion extends along an axis through the first opening, and secures the connector to the first object.
Friction stir welding of thermoplastics
A method for manufacturing components includes joining a first edge of a thermoplastic-containing first component part and a second edge of a thermoplastic-containing second component part to one another without any overlap. The first and the second edge are interconnected by friction stir welding. Friction stir welding involves rubbing a rotating friction stir welding pin against at least one metal object.
Venting apparatus
A venting apparatus is disclosed herein. The venting apparatus comprises a substrate, such as a metal substrate or a specialty plastic substrate, having an opening therein and a fluoropolymer membrane, such as ePTFE, disposed over said opening and thermally bonded using a thermoplastic material to said substrate. This allows the fluoropolymer membrane to be directly bonded to the said substrate without using an adhesive layer.
Anchoring a joining element in an object
A joining element has an anchoring portion for in-depth anchoring in the object and a head portion arranged proximally of the anchoring portion with respect to an insertion axis. The head portion has a lateral outer surface that has a structure that is well-defined, especially within tight tolerances. The joining element is positioned relative to an object of a non-liquefiable material such that the anchoring portion reaches into an opening of the object or is placed adjacent a mouth thereof. Then, the joining element is pressed towards a distal direction, to press the anchoring portion into the opening, while mechanical vibration energy is coupled into the joining element by a tool, in an amount and for a time sufficient for liquefaction of a portion of the thermoplastic material to cause interpenetration of the thermoplastic material into structures of the object.
Method for bonding composite materials and device for bonding composite materials
A method is used for a pair of bonding composite materials that are each provided with a melting material and a heat-resistant material. Each heat-resistant material includes a heat-resistant member and a binder member. The ceramic separators have ceramic layers that face each other and that are bonded. An ultrasonic wave is applied to the composite materials while applying a pressure thereto with a processing member. Also heat is applied to the binder members with a heating member. Here, the heater heats the binder members to a temperature that is greater than or equal to the glass transition temperature of the binder members and less than the melting point of the binder members.
ULTRASONIC WELDING DEVICE
The invention relates to an ultrasonic welding device comprising a sonotrode (1) secured to an amplifier (12), and this in turn being secured to a converter (13), on which the head (2) is secured, characterised by comprising an external casing (3) disposed around the sonotrode (1), together delimiting an annular chamber (4) for the circulation of pressurised air having a crenellated opening in the front end (31) thereof for the output of pressurised air and the cooling of the sonotrode (1), wherein said external casing (3) has a rear portion (32) on the head (2) that can move axially, forming a presser plate which exerts a pressureowing to the action of compressible means (51)against the parts (P1, P2) to be welded, in a peripheral zone next to the welding zone, before the tip (11) of the sonotrode (1) comes into contact with said parts to be welded.
Method of anchoring a first object in a second object
A first object is anchored in a second object. The first object has a material with thermoplastic properties, and the second material has a material that is solid and is penetrable by the first material when in a liquefied state. The second object has an insertion face with an opening having a mouth in the insertion face, and the first object has an insert portion that for anchoring is placed in the opening or about the mouth thereof. For anchoring, energy suitable for liquefaction of the first material impinges in an amount and for a time sufficient for at least partial liquefaction of the first material and interpenetration of the first and second materials. The second object, around the opening, has an anisotropic strength with respect to forces perpendicular to the opening axis.
