Disposable wearing article
A disposable wearing article is provided with a laminated stretchable structure excellent in peeling strength and flexibility. The disposable wearing article has a laminated stretchable structure, in which an elastic sheet of a thermoplastic resin is laminated between a first sheet layer made of nonwoven fabric and a second sheet layer made of nonwoven fabric. The first sheet layer and the second sheet layer are bonded through through-holes formed on the elastic sheet at a large number of bonded portions arranged at intervals. In the bonded portions, the first sheet layer and the elastic sheet are melt-solidified, and a layer forming at least a surface opposite to the elastic sheet in the second sheet layer is not melt-solidified. The first sheet layer and the second sheet layer are bonded via a melt-solidified material of the first sheet layer and a melt-solidified material of the elastic sheet at the bonded portions.
BONDING OBJECTS TOGETHER
A method of bonding a first object to a second object includes the steps of: providing the first object including thermoplastic material in a solid state, providing the second object including a proximal surface, applying a mechanical pressing force and a mechanical excitation capable to liquefy the thermoplastic material until a flow portion of the thermoplastic material is flowable and penetrates into structures of the second object, and stopping the mechanical excitation and letting the thermoplastic material resolidify to yield a positive-fit connection between the first and the second object. The second object has a region of low density, wherein the protrusion penetrates the region of low density at least partly before the thermoplastic material is made flowable, and wherein the first object includes a protruding portion after the step of letting the thermoplastic material resolidify, the protruding portion at least partly penetrates the region of low density.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SHAPING WEBS IN A VERTICAL FORM, FILL, AND SEALING SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for pleating or otherwise shaping a web are described herein. The method and apparatus may have numerous applications. In some embodiments, the method and apparatus are used in the formation, filling, and sealing of unit dose packages for consumer products. A method and apparatus for forming sealing two moving webs together, which webs have portions that are non-planar are also described herein.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SEALING TWO MOVING WEBS OF MATERIAL TOGETHER, WHICH WEBS HAVE PORTIONS WHICH ARE NON-PLANAR
IMPLANTS FOR CREATING CONNECTIONS TO TISSUE PARTS, IN PARTICULAR TO SKELETAL PARTS, AS WELL AS DEVICE AND METHOD FOR IMPLANTATION THEREOF
A method for locating a material having thermoplastic properties in pores of bone tissue includes providing a pin having the material having thermoplastic properties and a core, wherein the material having thermoplastic properties is arranged on the circumferential surface of the core constituting an outer region of the pin. An opening is provided in the bone tissue, and the pin is positioned at least partly in the opening. The outer region of the pin is then impinged with mechanical vibration energy for a time sufficient for liquefying at least part of the material having thermoplastic properties, and, in a liquefied state, pressing it into the pores of the bone tissue surrounding the opening. The vibration energy is stopped for a time sufficient for re-solidification of the liquefied material, and then the core is removed.
Multi-Layered Impermeable Fabric For Use In Pocketed Spring Assembly
A pocketed spring assembly comprises a plurality of parallel strings of individually pocketed springs. Each string is joined to at least one adjacent string. Each string has first and second opposed plies of fabric and a plurality of pockets formed along a length of the string by transverse segmented seams joining the plies. Gaps between the segments of the seams allow air to pass into and out of the pockets despite the fabric being impermeable to airflow through the fabric. The size of the gaps determines the firmness or feel of the pocketed spring assembly or portion thereof.
Method and apparatus for sealing two moving webs of material together, which webs have portions which are non-planar
Ultrasonic welder clamp
A device for joining thermoplastic workpieces includes an ultrasonic welder including an ultrasonic transducer, a booster and a horn having a welding tip. A clamping mechanism attaches to the ultrasonic welder and includes an upper frame coupled to a boot. The welding tip of the horn of the ultrasonic welder projects into an aperture in the boot of the clamping mechanism. The clamping mechanism exerts a clamping force on the workpieces that differs from a welding force exerted on the workpieces by the ultrasonic welder when the ultrasonic welder is operating to join the thermoplastic workpieces.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PLEATING OR SHAPING A WEB
A method and apparatus for pleating or otherwise shaping a web are described herein. The method and apparatus may have numerous applications. In some embodiments, the method and apparatus are used in the formation, filling, and sealing of unit dose packages for consumer products. A method and apparatus for forming sealing two moving webs together, which webs have portions that are non-planar are also described herein.
THERMAL CAULKING DEVICE
The present invention provides a thermal caulking device which cats quickly heat and cool an object to be caulked with low electrical power. Provided is a thermal caulking device which caulks a portion of a plastic part 7 as an object to be caulked, the thermal caulking device including: a metal tip 3 having a pressing part 3a which presses the object to be caulked and a heating rod 3c which is provided upright at a center part of the pressing part 3a; heating means 10c for heating the heating rod 3c; a cooling pipe 9 which cools the heating rod 3c; cooling fluid supply means 4 for supplying a cooling fluid to the cooling pipe 9; a holder 1 which holds the metal tip 3 and the cooling pipe 9 so that the cooling pipe 9 delivers the cooling fluid toward the heating rod 3c; and control means 6 for controlling the heating means 10c and the cooling fluid supply means 4, wherein the control means 6 heats the pressing part 3a from the heating rod 3c by the heating means 10c, and after the object to be caulked is thermally caulked by the pressing part 3a, supplies the cooling fluid from the cooling fluid supply means 4 to the cooling pipe 9 to cool the pressing part 3a from the heating rod 3c.
