Thermoplastic non-woven textile elements
12404615 · 2025-09-02 · ·

A non-woven textile may be formed from a plurality of thermoplastic polymer filaments. The non-woven textile may have a first region and a second region, with the filaments of the first region being fused to a greater degree than the filaments of the second region. A variety of products, including apparel (e.g., shirts, pants, footwear), may incorporate the non-woven textile. In some of these products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another textile element to form a seam. More particularly, an edge area of the non-woven textile may be heatbonded with an edge area of the other textile element at the seam. In other products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another component, whether a textile or a non-textile.

Apparatus and a method for entrapping an elastomeric material with form-fitting elastomeric regions

An apparatus for fabricating an elasticized material having at least one elastic strand transversely positioned across the apparatus. The apparatus includes a first bonding module and a second bonding module positionable in proximity to the first bonding module. At least one of the first bonding module and the second bonding module has a face with a width dimension and a circumferential axis and is rotatable about a rotation axis in a velocity vector direction, the face having a contour pattern containing a plurality of entrapment elements arranged along a width of the contour pattern, the plurality of entrapment elements having a land and a notch constructed to receive and hold the at least one elastic strand, wherein the contour pattern is arranged at an angle of between 30 and +30 from perpendicular to the at least one elastic strand with respect to the velocity vector direction, during bonding operation, and wherein the land and notch has a longitudinal axis that is at an angle of between 30 and +30 from parallel to the at least one elastic strand with respect to the velocity vector direction.

TEAR GUIDE SEAL BAR, ENCLOSURE HAVING TEAR GUIDE DEFORMATION PATTERNS, AND METHOD FOR CREATING THE SAME

An enclosure assembly can include panels on opposite sides of an interior volume, and a zipper assembly between the panels. The zipper assembly may include a tear strip that can be pulled and tear through one of the panels and create an opening through which the zipper assembly is accessible. This panel can include a deformation pattern formed from thinned out areas of the panel that one or more of overlap or do not overlap the tear strip. The deformation pattern can reduce a pulling force needed to tear through the panel within the deformation pattern relative to outside the deformation pattern.

A yarn or thread may include a plurality of substantially aligned filaments, with at least ninety-five percent of a material of the filaments being a thermoplastic polymer material. Various woven textiles and knitted textiles may be formed from the yarn or thread. The woven textiles or knitted textiles may be thermal bonded to other elements to form seams. A strand that is at least partially formed from a thermoplastic polymer material may extend through the seam, and the strand may be thermal bonded at the seam. The woven textiles or knitted textiles may be shaped or molded, incorporated into products, and recycled to form other products.

A knitted or woven component including an upper of an article of footwear, the upper including a knitted textile that is knitted together via a plurality of yarn such that the plurality of knitted yarn at least partially forms the knitted component. The article of footwear includes a midsole coupled to the knitted textile of the upper such that the midsole is positioned adjacent to the plurality of knitted yarn that at least partially forms the knitted component of the article of footwear, and an outsole coupled to the midsole on an opposite side of the knitted textile of the upper such that the outsole is separated from the plurality of knitted yarn that at least partially forms the knitted component of the article of footwear by the midsole disposed therebetween.

Device and method for producing a gathered material

An apparatus for producing a gatherable material, wherein the material consists of at least two material web sections and one thread positioned between the material web sections, wherein the apparatus has a tool with a sealing surface and a counter-tool with a counter-sealing surface, wherein the tool and the counter-tool are arranged relative to one another such that the material web sections and the thread are guided through a gap formed by the tool and counter-tool, wherein the tool and/or the counter-tool has a groove for receiving the thread, wherein the groove is orientated in a feed direction divides the sealing or counter-sealing surface into partial sealing surfaces, and has a groove base and two side walls, wherein the side walls connect the groove base to the partial sealing surfaces, and at least one of the partial sealing surfaces has a flank which slopes down towards the groove base.

METHOD FOR CONNECTING TWO PLASTIC PIPES TOGETHER, AS WELL AS AN INDUCTION CONNECTING SLEEVE FOR USE IN THE METHOD

To connect two plastic pipes 3 together, an induction connection sleeve 1 is used, which is provided with annular recesses 5 into which the pipes 3 with the ends 3A are pushed. Subsequently, induction heating elements 9 present in the induction connecting sleeve are heated with induction hand pliers 21 and the induction connecting sleeve is pressed against the end 3A of one of the tubes 3. The induction connection sleeve fuses to the tube. Because the induction hand pliers 21 are provided with ribs 27, grooves 19 are pressed into the pipe wall 3B in order to check whether sufficient heating and pressing has taken place over the entire circumference to obtain a gastight connection.
