Method for heating multiple piles of a laminate
10647062 · 2020-05-12 · ·

A method and a device for heat sealing multiple plies of a laminate from which gable top packaging can be produced, wherein the laminate has a carrier layer made of electrically non-conductive material and a sealing layer made of thermoplastic material on at least one surface of the laminate. To heat seal multiple plies of a laminate in a high-frequency alternating electric field, the alternating electric field is generated by a first lead of an HF voltage supply in a first sub-region of the sealing region and is generated by a second lead of the HF voltage supply, differing from the first lead, in at least a second sub-region of the sealing region, so that a different heat distribution is obtained over the sub-regions of the sealing region.

DUAL BONDER

A system and method for producing a disposable undergarment, with the lateral edges of the undergarment bonded by means of an ultrasonic horn. When a blank is formed for an individual undergarment, the lateral edges of opposing edges of the blank will form the seam. When the edges are sealed together, a seam is formed. The individual undergarments may be later separated along the seams.

PLASTIC LAMINATED STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A plastic laminated structure includes a plate member of plate-shaped fiber-reinforced plastic and a core member of trapezoidal-wave-shaped fiber-reinforced plastic. The plate member includes a thermoplastic resin and reinforcing fibers embedded in the thermoplastic resin. The core member is thermally bonded to the plate member, and includes a thermoplastic resin and reinforcing fibers that is embedded in the thermoplastic resin. A part of or the entire area of a main surface of the plate member includes smooth and rough surfaces. The rough surface has larger roughness than the smooth surface. The smooth and rough surfaces are alternately arranged in stripes.

Deformed web materials

Deformed web materials are disclosed. The web materials have discrete deformations formed therein. The deformations may be features in the form of portions of a web with apertures therein, protrusions, depressed areas, and combinations thereof. These features may extend out from the surface on one side of the web, or from both of the surfaces of the web. Different features may be intermixed with one another.

Methods of joining textiles and other elements incorporating a thermoplastic polymer material

A yarn or thread may include a plurality of substantially aligned filaments, with at least ninety-five percent of a material of the filaments being a thermoplastic polymer material. Various woven textiles and knitted textiles may be formed from the yarn or thread. The woven textiles or knitted textiles may be thermal bonded to other elements to form seams. A strand that is at least partially formed from a thermoplastic polymer material may extend through the seam, and the strand may be thermal bonded at the seam. The woven textiles or knitted textiles may be shaped or molded, incorporated into products, and recycled to form other products.

Method for manufacturing closing systems for hygiene articles, in particular diaper closing systems
10625471 · 2020-04-21 · ·

A method is for manufacturing closing systems for hygiene articles, in particular diaper closing systems. An attachment part (16) is fed to the rear face of a substrate part (18) having protruding closing elements (22) arranged in rows at a predefined distance from each other, and is joined to the substrate part (18) along welding points using an ultrasonic welding process. At least some of the welding points are introduced to extend along weld seam lines (46) between adjoining rows of closing elements (22) and to extend at least partially in parallel to the rows of closing elements (22).
