INSECT CATCHING DEVICE
20180295832 · 2018-10-18 ·

This device for capturing insects comprises: a handle (10), a head (11) fastened to one end of the handle (10).

The head (11) comprises: a holder intended to contain a pack of adhesive sheets (13) suitable for holding an insect, and a frame (14) that matches the holder and has at least one rim (15) intended to cover part of the pack of adhesive sheets.

The rim (15) is configured so as to constitute a predetermined tear-away zone (Z1) on the pack of adhesive sheets (13), so that the adhesive sheets can be peeled apart from each other without multiple sheets being removed together.

The frame (14) defines a cavity (16) adjacent to one adhesive face (17) of the pack of 20 adhesive sheets (13) so that insects present in the cavity (16) adhere to the adhesive sheet.

A bug capture and disposal device includes a shaft having a working end opposite a handle end. A head plate is affixed to the working end and a pair of flaps are pivotally affixed along opposing sides of the head plate. The pair of flaps are selectively movable between an open position and a closed position. A rod is disposed within an interior of the shaft and is operably connected to a control disposed on the handle end and each flap of the pair of flaps. Upon actuation of the control, the rod moves the pair of flaps towards the closed position. A retraction control is slidably disposed on the shaft, wherein the retraction control is operably connected to the rod, whereupon actuation of the retraction control, the pair of flaps towards the open position. An adhesive pad is removably secured to an underside of the pair of flaps.

EXTENDABLE AND ADJUSTABLE INSECT ENTRAPMENT APPARATUS
20250318513 · 2025-10-16 ·

An extendable and adjustable insect entrapment apparatus reaches insects and pests in hard to reach areas through a multi-jointed elongated rod that hinges and pivots into various configuration to reach and entrap the insects with a pad of stacked, singular sticky sheets. The rod has a proximal end with a formed hole for hanging the apparatus from a distal end. At least one joint in the rod is fixedly set at a desired angle and orientation. The sticky sheets retain any insects which travel or fall into a base at the distal end of the rod. Each sheet is coated with a mild compression adhesive material that entraps an insect in response to an application of force against the insect. Each sticky sheet can be separated individually. Upon entrapment of an insect, the outermost sticky sheet restraining the insect is separated, folded to encase the insect, and disposed of.
