APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING AND PUTTING ON GLOVES, METHOD OF PRODUCING AND PUTTING ON GLOVES, AND GLOVE
The present invention provides an apparatus for producing and putting on gloves capable of producing gloves that fit an individual hand shape and also putting the glove on the hands, and a method for producing and putting on gloves. The apparatus for producing and putting on gloves comprises welding and cutting means which welds and cuts a first elastic film and a second elastic film at a position on the outer side of a contour of a user's hand in a state in which the user's hand is sandwiched between the first elastic film and the second elastic film.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING PROFILED PARTS
At least two profiled parts (1) are fixed to profile supports (2) that can be moved relative to each other. The profiled parts (1) are each partially melted at an end joining face (10) with a heating element (5) in a melting step and, after the heating element (5) has been removed, the partially melted joining faces (10) of the profiled parts are pressed against each other in a joining step, until the molten materials brought into contact with each other there cool down and solidify, forming a welded connection. To avoid or reduce occurrence or development of a welding bead, in a separating step that is carried out before the joining step, a mating tool (6, 29) is guided through the melt along the separating edge (9) of the limiting element (3), in order to separate the excess melt (7) that has escaped over the separating edge (9).
Sealing Device for Secondary Battery
The present invention relates to a sealing device for a secondary battery. The sealing device is configured to seal a battery case accommodating an electrode assembly therein to manufacture the secondary battery, the sealing device including a sealing block configured to press a sealing portion of the battery case, a flatness adjusting part configured to adjust a flatness of a pressing surface of the sealing block, and a heater part configured to transfer heat to the sealing block to thermally fuse the sealing portion of the battery case when the sealing portion is pressed by the sealing block.
Method for improving the heat sealability of packaging material and method for manufacturing heat-sealed container or package
A method for improving the heat sealability of a packaging material and a method for manufacturing a heat-sealed container or package are described. The material can be polymer-coated packaging paper or cardboard, or a polymeric packaging film. The material includes a polymer layer that contains polyester, particularly polylactide, the heat sealability of which is improved by ultraviolet radiation. Polylactide is useful as such or when blended, for example, with other biodegradable polyester. The containers and packages thus manufactured include disposable drinking cups and cardboard carton and box packages.
Chemical barrier fabric
A chemical barrier fabric and a method of manufacturing the fabric is provided. The chemical barrier fabric includes at least first and second chemical barrier layers which have an interfacial region therebetween and which are intermittently point bonded providing a point-bonded area which is in the minority and an un-bonded area which is in the majority in the interfacial region. The chemical barrier layers typically comprise single layer polymer films and/or co-extruded layers. A non-woven layer may also be point-bonded to either the first or the second chemical barrier layer to give support to the fabric.
Automated fiber-placement systems and methods
An automated fiber-placement method comprises delivering a first quantity of pulsed energy to first portions of at least one fiber-reinforced tape strip, and delivering a second quantity of pulsed energy to second portions of at least the one fiber-reinforced tape strip, alternating with the first portions. Each one of the second portions at least partially overlaps two adjacent ones of the first portions such that overlapping regions of the first portions and the second portions have a higher temperature than non-overlapping regions of the first portions and the second portions. The automated fiber-placement method further comprises laying down at least the one fiber-reinforced tape strip against a substrate along a virtual curvilinear path, such that (i) at least the one fiber-reinforced tape strip is centered on the virtual curvilinear path, and (ii) the overlapping regions are transformed into discrete tape-regions, geometrically different from the overlapping regions.
Joining method
A method for joining primary and secondary members includes providing a primary member, a secondary member and a heating element which is joined to one of the primary and secondary members. The heating element includes an electrically insulating matrix material and an electrically conductive reinforcing element extending through the matrix material. The method further includes bringing the other of the primary and secondary members and the heating element into engagement and controlling a flow of electrical current in the reinforcing element so as to resistively heat and fuse at least some of the matrix material of the heating element with a matrix material of the other of the primary and secondary members. The method may be used to join a primary member such as a composite tubular and a secondary member such as a component for terminating the composite tubular.
AUTOMATED FIBER-PLACEMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS AND ARTICLES PRODUCED THEREFROM
CLOSED LOOP FEEDBACK PRESS
The pressing of an article is achieved with a closed-loop feedback press. The closed-loop feedback press is effective to measure an amount of pressure applied and adjust the pressure to achieve a prescribed amount of compression on the article. Further, the press may leverage a closed-loop feedback system to maintain a consistent temperature of one or more platens. The press is able to adjust a pressure applied one or more times during a pressing operation to accelerate a temperature change in the pressed article while reducing the pressure applied as the temperature approaches a target temperature to limit unintentional deformation and bleeding of the pressed material of the article.
CONDUCTION WELDING
A welding apparatus for a fibre reinforced resin based material comprises an elongate flexible heat conductive strip and an elongate heat sink extending around at least a portion of the perimeter of the conductive strip. The elongate heat sink is divided into a plurality of segments wherein adjacent segments can move relative to one another.
