METHOD FOR PRODUCING A WELDED CONNECTION, AND WELDING DEVICE
The invention relates to a method for connecting a thermoplastic line element (3) to a connecting element (2). The method comprises the steps of: providing the at least one thermoplastic line element (3); providing the connecting element (2) having a thermoplastic body (4 wherein a heating element (6 is embedded in the body (4 for generating heat in a welding region (5 for welding the body (4 to the at least one line element; joining the connecting element (2) to the at least one thermoplastic line element (3; providing a welding device (10) for welding the connecting element (2 to the at least one thermoplastic line element (3); welding the connecting element (2 at least one thermoplastic line element (3 by generating heat in the welding region (5 by means of the welding device (10).
The welding of the connecting element (2) to the at least one thermoplastic line element (3) is stopped by the welding device (10) before the end of the planned welding duration if an error criterion is met.
Method for joining metallic member and resin member to each other, manufacturing method for cooler, and cooler
A polar functional group is added onto a surface of a metallic member. A resin member contains an adhesive functional group. The adhesive functional group and the polar functional group attract each other. A method for joining the metallic member and the resin member to each other includes: heating a junction between the metallic member and the resin member while pressing the metallic member and the resin member against each other with a first load; maintaining temperature of the junction higher than melting temperature of a resin that structures the resin member while pressing the metallic member and the resin member with each other with a second load smaller than the first load; and cooling the junction to temperature lower than the melting temperature while pressing the metallic member and the resin member against each other with a third load larger than the second load.
Film heat sealing and trim apparatus
A sealing apparatus 200 for sealing together two film portions 202, 204 may include a heating element 206 positioned in relation to a pair of nip pressure devices 208, 210 for creating a seal 311 between the two film portions 202, 204 and trimming the two film portions 202, 204 at the created seal. A controller 214 is connected to the heating element 206 and is for connection to a power source for applying a variable amount of power to the heating element 206. The amount of power varies based on at least a speed of the two film portions 202, 204 passing the heating element 206.
DEVICE FOR WELDING ELECTROFUSION FITTINGS WITH EXTENSION CABLE
A method keeps a voltage or a current constant during a welding process of an electrofusion fitting. The method includes: connecting an extension cable between a connection cable of a welding power supply and the electrofusion fitting to be welded; detecting the extension cable by the welding power supply; detecting and recording the electrofusion fitting to be welded and its data by the welding power supply; autonomously supplying the current or the voltage with the welding power supply; and autonomously regulating the current or the voltage based upon the detection of the connected extension cable and a resulting resistance due to the connected extension cable. The current or the voltage is adjusted such that the current or the voltage remains constant during the welding of the electrofusion fitting.
Air cushion inflation machine
A machine for converting two different types of webs of inflatable material to two different types of inflated cushioning material includes an inflation arrangement, a sealing arrangement, and a tensioning device. The inflation arrangement is configured to provide air at a lower pressure to a first web of a first type of inflatable material to inflate the first type of inflatable material, and to provide air at a higher pressure to a second type of inflatable material to inflate the second type of inflatable material. The inflation arrangement includes a guide pin configured to the first and second webs and align the first and second webs on the machine. The sealing arrangement is configured to seal the first type of inflatable material and the second type of inflatable material to create the two different types of inflated cushioning material. The tensioning device is configured to provide a lower tensioning force to the first web as the first web moves between the inflation arrangement and the sealing arrangement, and to provide a higher tensioning force to the second web as the second web moves between the inflation arrangement and the sealing arrangement.
HEAT SEALING APPARATUS
A heat sealing apparatus includes: a first sealing unit and a second sealing unit which are provided to be capable of being opened and closed and perform a heat sealing process of a bag while nipping the bag in a state where the first sealing unit and the second sealing unit are arranged in a closed position with the bag positioned between the first sealing unit and the second sealing unit; and a heat shield member including a heat reflector which is provided to cover at least a part of the first sealing unit and the second sealing unit arranged in the closed position, at a position away from the first sealing unit and the second sealing unit.
Induction welding using a heat sink and/or cooling
A heat sink for use in induction welding includes a number of tiles, where the tiles are electrically non-conductive and thermally conductive, a joint flexibly joining the tiles together, and a fluid path formed through the heat sink for communicating a coolant therethrough.
Induction welding using a heat sink and/or cooling
A heat sink for use in induction welding includes a flexible backing and a number of tiles disposed on the flexible backing in a single layer, wherein the tiles are electrically non-conductive and thermally conductive.
Sidewall fusion method for fusing branch outlets to host plastic pipe and apparatus for use therein
A method and apparatus for attaching a branch polymeric fitting to a host polymeric pipe in which a flexible heating blanket is inserted between and used to heat the respective branch and host pipe surfaces. When the parts reach the appropriate temperature, the pipes are separated a small distance and the heating blanket is removed. The branch fitting and host pipe are then fused by placing the heated pipe ends in contact and applying pressure.
Air cushion inflation machine
A machine includes an inflation arrangement, a sealing arrangement, and a tensioning device. The inflation arrangement provides air at a first pressure to inflate a first web of a first type of inflatable material, provides air at a second pressure to inflate a second web of a second type of inflatable material, receives the first and second webs, and aligns the first and second webs on the machine. The first pressure is different from the second pressure. The sealing arrangement seals the first and second types of inflatable material. The tensioning device provides a first tensioning force to the first web as the first web moves between the inflation and sealing arrangements and provides a second tensioning force to the second web as the second web moves between the inflation and sealing arrangements. The first tensioning force is different from the second tensioning force.
