The device is a cigar cutter with four separate blades capable of cutting a cigar tip into four V-shape slices, all in one motion. The device comprises a housing, a cover, a left handle, a right handle, a top lifter, a bottom lifter, and four blades. The left-side and right-side blades are integrated into the left and right handles, respectively. The top and bottom blades are integrated into the top and bottom lifters, respectively. The four blades surround the cigar opening, positioned 90? apart from each other. The top and bottom blades are mechanically linked to the left handle, such that a lateral movement of the left handle corresponds with a vertical movement of the top and bottom blades. Thus, the user can activate all four blades in one motion with one hand.

A cigar cutter has a housing with a cigar tip receiving hole. A blade having a cutting edge and a longitudinal sliding axis engages the housing such that the blade is longitudinally slidable downwardly so that the cutting edge crosses the receiving hole. The cutting edge has an upwardly-pointing V-shape with serrations there-along, the serrations being aligned with the longitudinal sliding of the blade so that inserting a cigar tip into the receiving hole and forceably sliding the cutting edge downwardly across the receiving hole and the cigar tip will force the serrations into the cigar tip without side-to-side sawing of the cigar by the serrations. The blade may further have a forwardly-pointing V-shape.

A gear train is provided that includes a ring gear disposed to circumscribe the aperture and to engage pairs of spur gears disposed at diametrically opposite positions. Edges of the blades engage the spur gears in a rack-and-pinion style configuration. The gear train thus provides synchronous and symmetrical movements of the blades relative to one another.

A guillotine-style cigar cutter. A slender, angled sharpening tool can fit into the sharpener support opening, which may, itself, have a guiding surface to guide the sharpening tool at the proper angle for sharpening the blade of a cigar clipper. The plurality of slots allow cigar clipper supports to adjust to hold various sizes of cigar clippers on the guide plate. The retention members slide in the slots and can be positioned to hold both the body and the blade handles of the cigar clipper to the guide plate. The sharpener can be used on guillotine style, scissor style, callibri style and hole punch types of cigar clippers. The sharpener may be used on replaceable blades for replaceable blade cigar clippers.

Cigar hole punches are disclosed herein. An example cigar hole punch includes a first body having an end with an opening, a second body coupled to the first body, a cutting blade at least partially disposed in the first body, a positioning pin at least partially disposed in the first body, and an actuator to move the cutting blade and the positioning pin into and out of the opening in response to relative movement between the first and second bodies.

An example cigar hole punch includes a first body having an end with an opening, a second body coupled to the first body, a cutting blade at least partially disposed in the first body, a positioning pin at least partially disposed in the first body, and an actuator to move the cutting blade and the positioning pin into and out of the opening in response to relative movement between the first and second bodies.

The invention provides an accessory for cigarette smokers which provides a portable cigarette accessory device for cutting the end of a partially smoked cigarette and storing the partially smoked cigarette for later enjoyment wherein the device is attachable to a disposable lighter.
