IMPROVED CARBON FIBRE WHEEL EXTERNAL FACE
A carbon fibre vehicle wheel including a wheel body having a rim portion and a face portion, the rim portion having an annulus structure configured to receive and seat a tyre. The face portion includes a hub configured to fix the wheel to the vehicle. A connection structure extends between and interconnects the hub and the rim. The wheel body has an inner side configured to face a wheel mount of the vehicle, and an outer side configured to face outwardly when connected to the wheel mount. The wheel body embodies a first carbon fibre composite composition including a carbon fibre layup infused with a first resin, and a fascia layer attached to at least a portion of the face portion of the outer side of the wheel body. The fascia layer embodies a second fibre composite composition including a selected fibre layup infused with a second resin.
Cured composition having high impact strength and temperature resistance, based on an epoxy resin and a polyisocyanate
The invention relates to a method for producing a cured composition which has at least one oxazolidinone ring and at least one isocyanurate ring and is cross-linked by the same, starting from a liquid reactive mixture which, based on the total weight thereof, contains at least one epoxy resin, at least one polyisocyanate, at least one polyol, and at least one catalyst composition. The invention further relates to the cured composition obtainable thereby.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A WIND TURBINE BLADE
A method for manufacturing a wind turbine blade, includes the steps of: arranging an upper mould including a pre-casted fibre lay-up on a lower mould comprising a dry fibre lay-up and a mould core, applying vacuum to a space between the upper and lower moulds and the mould core, infusing at least the dry fibre lay-up and a connection region between the dry fibre lay-up and the pre-casted fibre lay-up with a resin, and curing the resin.
By having the pre-casted fibre lay-up in the upper mould, the packing and positioning of dry composite materials on top of the mould core is avoided.
BLADE COMPRISING A STRUCTURE MADE OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND ASSOCIATED MANUFACTURING METHOD
The present invention relates to a blade comprising: - a structure made of composite material; - a blade root attachment part comprising a wall delimiting a cavity, a first opening formed in the wall and a second opening located under the blade root portion, the structure made of composite material extending through the first opening; - two locking parts configured to axially abut against a shoulder of the attachment part and to bear against the blade root portion; and - a cover for compressing the blade root portion against the locking parts.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SANDWICH PANEL WITH IMPROVED IMPACT AND DAMPING BEHAVIORS
A method for manufacturing an aeronautical panel with improved impact and damping behaviors. The method is applicable not only to flat panels but also to curved or highly curved panels, whatever their size and the shape of their core. The manufactured sandwich panels comprise dry fiber mats made from fabric material and/or non-crimp fabric material. In a particular embodiment, the fabric material and/or the non-crimp fabric material comprise dry fibers which are recycled and/or reused fibers.
Method for producing composite material, fiber base material, and shaping mold for fiber base material
A method for producing a composite material in which a first fabric and a second fabric made from a fiber material are impregnated with a thermosetting resin and integrally molded, wherein a resin flow path through which thermosetting resin flows is provided between the first fabric and the second fabric, and the first fabric and the second fabric are impregnated with thermosetting resin from the resin flow path as well as being impregnated with thermosetting resin from the surface.

Fiber structure and a composite material part incorporating such a structure
A method of fabricating a fiber structure by multilayer three-dimensional weaving between a plurality of weft yarns and of warp yarns, the fiber structure having at least first and second portions that are adjacent in the warp direction, the first portion presenting, in a direction perpendicular to the warp and weft directions, a thickness greater than the thickness of the second portion, includes making the first portion using a step of three-dimensionally weaving warp and weft layers in which a fiber fabric is formed in the form of a Mock-Leno weave grid in a core of the first portion together with skins at a surface of the first portion, a weave of the skins being modified locally so as to deflect certain warp yarns from said skins and weave them with the fiber fabric in the form of the Mock-Leno weave grid.
Two-component coating compositions for coating fiber-reinforced plastics materials
The present disclosure relates to two-component coating material compositions including a paint base component A and a curing component B. The paint base component A includes one or more polyols A1 selected from the group of polyols containing ester groups and which possess a hydroxyl number of 300 to 500 mg KOH/g and have a hydroxyl group functionality of greater than 2. The curing component B includes one or more polyisocyanates B1 having on average 2.4 to 5 NCO groups. The two-component coating material composition possesses a solids content of at least 96 wt %, and the molar ratio of the NCO groups in the curing component B to the acidic hydrogen atoms in the paint base component A is from 1:1.15 to 1:0.95. The disclosure further relates to a method for coating fiber-reinforced plastics and to a method for producing coated fiber-reinforced plastics, and to coating fiber-reinforced plastics.
