LIQUID EJECTION HEAD AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF LIQUID EJECTION HEAD

A liquid ejection head includes an element substrate having an energy-generating element configured to generate an energy for ejecting a liquid from an ejection orifice, a support member for supporting the element substrate, the support member including a liquid chamber formed therein to supply the liquid to the ejection orifice, and a damper portion for absorbing vibration of the liquid inside the liquid chamber, the damper portion being flexible. The support member has a through-hole for communicating with the liquid chamber at a position located above the liquid chamber in a vertical direction when the liquid ejection head is in a use orientation. The damper portion has a taper portion that tapers downwardly in the vertical direction and is positioned in such a manner that the tapering portion closes the through-hole, and the damper portion and the support member are attached to each other by a fixing member.

Liquid ejection head

A liquid ejection head includes a stack structure including plates stacked and bonded with an adhesive agent, individual channels formed in the stack structure, dummy channels formed in the stack structure separately from the individual channels, and a first relief groove formed in the stack structure separately from the individual channels and configured to trap therein an excessive adhesive agent. Each individual channel includes a pressure chamber to which pressure is applied for liquid ejection form a nozzle, a supply throttle channel connected to the pressure chamber, and a return throttle channel communicating with the pressure chamber. The supply throttle channel and the return throttle channel each have a smaller cross-sectional area than the pressure chamber. The dummy channels include dummy chambers arranged laterally to an array of the pressure chambers arranged in an array direction. The first relief groove is connected to the dummy channels.

FLUID EJECTION DEVICES WITH REDUCED CROSSTALK

A fluid ejection apparatus includes a plurality of fluid ejectors. Each fluid ejector includes a pumping chamber, and an actuator configured to cause fluid to be ejected from the pumping chamber. The fluid ejection apparatus includes a feed channel fluidically connected to each pumping chamber; and at least one compliant structure formed in a surface of the feed channel. The at least one compliant structure has a lower compliance than the surface of the feed channel.
