PRINTING POSITION ADJUSTMENT METHOD AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Misalignment of printing positions between print heads associated with thermal expansion is reduced without increasing a data processing load. To this end, printing element substrates in a reference head and an adjustment target head are adjusted to a target temperature, and a liquid is circulated through the print element substrates. After thermal expansion of the reference head and the adjustment target head reaches a steady state, a first printing region being a printing region of the reference head and a second printing region being a printing region of the adjustment target head in a longitudinal direction are obtained from an image printed by using all printing elements. Then, used regions to be used for actual printing are set among the printing elements arranged on the reference head and the adjustment target head based on the first printing region and the second printing region.

The through hole has a first face facing the actuator substrate and a second face opposite to the first face and facing an opening of the frame. The resin in the through hole includes an uncured portion uncured and facing the first face and a cured portion cured and facing the second face. The uncured portion contacts the actuator substrate and is between the cured portion and the actuator substrate.
LIQUID CIRCULATION DEVICE, LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS, AND LIQUID CIRCULATION METHOD
A liquid circulation device includes a circulation passage, a liquid feeding device, a pressure sensor, and control circuitry. Through the circulation passage, liquid circulates to be supplied to and collected from a circulatory liquid discharge head. The liquid feeding device is configured to circulate the liquid through the circulation passage. The pressure sensor is configured to detect a pressure of the circulation passage. The control circuitry configured to acquire a characteristic indicating a relationship among a drive amount of the liquid feeding device, discharge information of the liquid discharged from the liquid discharge head, and a pressure detection value of the circulation passage; and change, based on the characteristic acquired, at least one of a control parameter and a calculation expression used to control the liquid feeding device.
Sense measurement indicators to select fluidic actuators for sense measurements
In some examples, a fluid dispensing device includes a plurality of fluidic actuators, and a plurality of sense measurement storage elements to store sense measurement indicators for indicating whether sense measurement is to be performed for fluidic actuators of the plurality of fluidic actuators. The fluid dispensing device further includes a controller to control setting of the sense measurement indicators in the sense measurement storage elements to select which fluidic actuator is to be subject to a sense measurement.
Fluidic dies with selectors adjacent respective firing subassemblies
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a fluidic die is described. The fluidic die includes an array of firing subassemblies grouped into zones. Each firing subassembly includes 1) a firing chamber, 2) a fluid actuator, and 3) a sensor plate. The fluidic die also includes a measurement device per zone to measure a voltage indicative of an impedance within a selected firing chamber. The fluidic die includes a selector per firing subassembly to couple a selected sensor plate to the measurement device. A selector is adjacent a respective firing subassembly and a distance between the selector and the measurement device is different as compared to other selectors.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMPENSATING FOR VIBRATIONS IN AN INKJET PRINTER
An inkjet printer detects vibrations within the printer and compensates for the detected vibrations by adjusting a gap between the printheads and the media transport. Additionally, the inkjet printer detects media sheet heights that may cause damage as they pass through the print zone of the printer and adjusts the gap to enable the media sheets to pass through the print zone without contacting the printheads. A method of operating an inkjet printer so configured is also disclosed.
Printing position correction method, printing apparatus, and storage medium
Misalignment of printing positions is reduced in a print head that circulates an ink between a printing apparatus and the print head in a case where the misalignment is apt to change dynamically along with heat deformation. To this end, printing element substrates in the print head are adjusted to a target temperature and then a liquid is circulated through the print element substrates. After thermal expansion of the print head reaches a steady state, an amount of misalignment of printing positions in a direction of conveyance of the print head is obtained by using a test pattern printed by using printing elements. Further, a correction value for correcting the misalignment of the printing positions is set based on the obtained amount of misalignment of the printing positions.
