A medium processing apparatus includes an intermediate stacker on which media recorded by a recording apparatus are stacked, the recording apparatus including a liquid ejection head which performs recording by ejecting liquid to media and a maintenance apparatus which performs maintenance of the liquid ejection head, and a processor which executes a process on the media received by the intermediate stacker. The medium processing apparatus executes the process after a medium which is last recorded before the maintenance is stacked on the intermediate stacker.

PRINTING APPARATUS AND INK SUCKING UNIT CLEANING METHOD

The cleaning liquid is supplied to the head facing flat surface, and the dummy flat surface of the dummy block facing the head facing flat surface contacts the cleaning liquid. This causes the cleaning liquid to be spread on the head facing flat surface by the dummy flat surface. The cleaning liquid spread on the head facing flat surface is sucked through the suction holes of the suction block. The suction holes can be cleaned by the cleaning liquid passing through the suction holes according to suction. On this occasion, the ink supplied to the head facing flat surface is removed through the suction holes of the suction block. The suction holes have both a function of removing the ink from the discharge heads H and a function of removing the cleaning liquid from the head facing flat surface.

MIST COLLECTING UNIT, AND AN INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS HAVING SAME

A mist collecting unit for collecting a mist of ink droplets. The mist collecting unit includes the following elements. An introduction pipe, a mist introducing box with the introduction pipe mounted to have an upper part open, and a collecting box attached to a lower part of the mist introducing box. The gas is introduced from the introduction pipe into the collecting box, thereby capturing the mist included in the gas by inner surfaces of the collecting box.

Recording device and recording method

A recording device includes a recording head and a control unit. When recording a raster line forming a partial image of a image, using, of a nozzle row, a plurality of OL nozzles in a positional relationship to record a common raster line, the control unit performs recording using the OL nozzles of a first range, in a range of the OL nozzles in a first direction, when a recording condition is a first recording condition, and performs recording using the OL nozzles of a second range narrower than the first range, of the range of the OL nozzles in the first direction, when the recording condition is a second recording condition in which a density difference, in the image, between the partial image and an image other than the partial image is greater than in the first recording condition.

LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS AND CONTROLLING METHOD FOR THE SAME

There is provided a liquid ejecting apparatus including: a head having a nozzle; a carriage; a receiver; and a controller. The controller is configured to execute: a first flushing processing; a second flushing processing including at least one of a discharge flushing driving and a non-discharge flushing driving of driving; and a printing processing. The first flushing processing is executed in a case that a first count value is not less than a first threshold value, the first count value being an elapsed time since a completion of the first flushing processing. The second flushing processing is executed in a case that a second count value is not less than a second threshold value, the second count value being an elapsed time since a completion of the printing processing.

LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS AND LIQUID EJECTING HEAD

There is provided a liquid ejecting apparatus including: a liquid ejecting head having an ejection surface including a first nozzle row configured to eject a first ink and a second nozzle row configured to eject a second ink; and a support configured to support the liquid ejecting head in an inclined posture in which the ejection surface is inclined with respect to a horizontal plane, in which the first nozzle row is positioned above the second nozzle row with respect to a vertical direction in a state where the support supports the liquid ejecting head in the inclined posture, and a thickening resistance of the second ink is higher than a thickening resistance of the first ink.

Printing device including controller provided with manual maintenance mode and automated maintenance mode as control mode for controlling maintenance portion

A printing device includes a printing portion, a maintenance portion, and a controller. The printing portion includes an ejection head and prints using ink. The maintenance portion performs maintenance on the ejection head. The maintenance involves consumption of ink. The controller has a manual maintenance mode and an automated maintenance mode. In the manual maintenance mode, the controller executes a maintenance using the maintenance portion in response to a maintenance command signal based on a manual operation. In the automated maintenance mode, the controller automatically executes a maintenance using the maintenance portion in response to a maintenance execution condition being met. Based on control information acquired, the controller switches an operating mode of the printing device from a first operating mode of selectively executing the manual maintenance mode and the automated maintenance mode to a second operation mode of executing the automated maintenance mode without executing the manual maintenance mode.

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting unit, an acquisition unit, and a controller. The liquid ejecting unit includes a nozzle through which a liquid is to be discharged and an ejection surface on which the nozzle opens. The acquisition unit obtains distance information that indicates a distance between the ejection surface and a surface of a medium on which the liquid discharged through the nozzle is to land. The controller varies a flushing amount in accordance with the distance information obtained, the flushing amount being an amount of the liquid discharged during a flushing operation in which the liquid ejecting unit discharges the liquid through the nozzle as a maintenance operation.

An object is to enable highly accurate density unevenness correction while suppressing a reduction in productivity of printing accompanying correction value calculation for density unevenness correction. In the image processing apparatus, density correction information that specifies an output tone value for implementing a target density for an input tone value for each nozzle and which does not include the influence by a non-ejectable nozzle that cannot eject ink normally is acquired. In a case where a non-ejectable nozzle is detected during printing processing, output tone values corresponding to the detected non-ejectable nozzle and peripheral nozzles thereof among output tone values specified in the density correction information are changed.
