20170291421 · 2017-10-12 ·

A method for maintaining an ink jet head according to the invention includes at least one of a maintenance step of attaching a maintenance liquid to a nozzle surface of an ink jet head, which ejects a reaction solution including an aggregating agent for aggregating or thickening components of an ink composition, to clean the nozzle surface, and a maintenance step of covering and moisturizing the nozzle surface with a head moisturizing cap supplied with the maintenance liquid, in which the maintenance liquid includes a water-soluble organic solvent having a boiling point of 280° C. or less and water.

PRINT DEVICE

A print device includes a processor and a memory. The memory storing computer-readable instructions which, when executed by the processor, perform processes. The processes include covering processing controlling a cap into a covering state in which the cap covers a nozzle. The processes include first purge processing purging, in a state in which the cap is in the covering state and a supply valve is closed, an ink from the nozzle by operating a pump at a first rotation speed. The processes include injection processing injecting, after the first purge processing and in a state in which the cap is in the covering state and the supply valve is open, the cleaning liquid into the interior of the cap by operating the pump at a second rotation speed to cause the cleaning liquid to soak a nozzle face.

PRINT DEVICE

A print device includes a processor, and a memory. The processor performs processes. The processes include a covering control processing controlling the cap into a covering state in which the cap covers the nozzle. The processes include supply processing supplying, after the covering control processing, the cleaning liquid to the cap from the supply flow path. The processes include hold processing holding, after the supply processing and in a state in which the cleaning liquid has soaked the nozzle face, the cleaning liquid in the cap. The processes include first determination processing determining, after the hold processing, whether a print request has been received. The processes include discharge processing discharging, in a case where a power on signal has been detected or in a case where the first determination processing has determined that the print request has been received, the cleaning liquid that has been held in the cap.

PRINTHEAD SERVICING WITH HUMIDIFIED AIR STREAM AND WIPING MODULES

A printhead servicing system comprises a humidified air stream generator (10) to generate a humidified air stream; a humidified air stream channelling module (20) to channel the generated humidified air stream to a humidified air stream ejection module (30) to eject the humidified air stream towards a printhead nozzle plate (52a) of a printer (50); and a wiping module (40) to wipe a printhead nozzle plate (52a) of the printer.

CLEANING FLUID AND CLEANING METHOD

A cleaning fluid for cleaning a site to which ink adheres in an inkjet printer which ejects aqueous inkjet ink containing a pigment and alkali-soluble resin having an acid group in a molecule, wherein the cleaning fluid contains an amphoteric surfactant, a basic compound, and water, a pH range of the cleaning fluid is from 9 to 12, the amphoteric surfactant is at least one selected from a group consisting of dimethyl_lauryl_amine oxide, lauryl_dimethyl_amino acetic acid betaine and a 2-al-kyl-n-carboxymethyl-n-hydroxyethyl_imidazolinium betaine and is contained in an amount of 0.1- to 3% by mass to the total amount of the cleaning fluid.

CLEANING LIQUID SUPPLYING APPARATUS AND LIQUID DROPLET EJECTING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
20170274660 · 2017-09-28 ·

A cleaning liquid supplying apparatus includes a first storage section, a pressure-accumulating second storage section, a plurality of cleaning liquid ejecting sections, a liquid sending section, a plurality of individual flow channel opening/closing sections, and a control section. The first storage section stores cleaning liquid. The cleaning liquid ejecting sections are connected to the second storage section via a plurality of individual flow channels having upstream ends located at positions where the upstream ends are open to a liquid reservoir when a predetermined amount of the cleaning liquid is stored in the second storage section. The liquid sending section is provided midway along a first flow channel and sends the cleaning liquid in the first storage section to the second storage section. The individual flow channel opening/closing sections open/close the respective individual flow channels. The control section controls the liquid sending section so that a pressure in an air reservoir becomes a predetermined pressure.
