IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM THAT RECORDS IMAGE FORMING PROGRAM
An image forming apparatus includes: a line head including multiple ink jet nozzles arrayed in a line direction; a storage device; and a controller circuit configured to determine an image width, the image width being a width of an image to be formed in the line direction, mandatorily eject ink from an ink jet nozzle group before forming the image, the ink jet nozzle group including multiple ink jet nozzles used to form the image having the image width out of the multiple ink jet nozzles, and store the image width in the storage device as a mandatory ejection width.
LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS
A liquid ejection apparatus includes a liquid ejection head having a nozzle face in which a plurality of nozzles is opened, the plurality of nozzles ejecting liquid as a droplet, a cleaning unit configured to clean the nozzle face, an information receiving unit configured to receive input of a cleaning information that is information related to a frequency of cleaning of the nozzle face by the cleaning unit, and a controller configured to instruct the cleaning unit to perform the cleaning in accordance with the cleaning information.
ADAPTIVE INK FLUSHING OF A PRINTER
Systems and methods are provided for adaptive ink flushing of a printer. One embodiment is an apparatus that includes an adaptive ink flushing controller configured to obtain nozzle firing data for a nozzle of a printhead, to analyze the nozzle firing data to determine an inactive firing span of the nozzle, and, in response to determining that the inactive firing span of the nozzle exceeds a threshold, to transmit a firing instruction for ejecting ink.
Multiple sacrificial sheets steering device for full width inkjet printhead jetting
Devices and processes include/use an inkjet printhead, a sheet transport positioned to move sheets of media past the inkjet printhead, a sheet registration device positioned to align the sheets of media, and a controller electrically connected to the inkjet printhead and the sheet registration device. The controller is adapted to periodically control the sheet registration device to align a first sacrificial sheet with a first edge of the sheet transport and align a second sacrificial sheet with a second edge of the sheet transport and that is opposite the first edge. The controller is adapted to control the inkjet printhead to eject ink from a first set of nozzles to the first sacrificial sheet and eject ink from a second set of nozzles to the second sacrificial sheet. The first set of nozzles contains different nozzles from the second set of nozzles.
Liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head which ejects a liquid from a plurality of nozzles disposed on a nozzle surface; an absorbing member which makes contact with the nozzle surface and can absorb a liquid which is adhered to the nozzle surface; and a pressing member which causes the ink absorbing member to contact the nozzle surface by pressing the absorbing member from a side which opposes a side which contacts the nozzle surface. In the liquid ejecting apparatus, a pressure applied to a nozzle peripheral region within the nozzle surface due to the absorbing member which is pressed by the pressing member making contact with the nozzle surface is smaller than a pressure applied to a region other than the nozzle peripheral region within the nozzle surface.
Cleaning head as well as device and method for cleaning printing heads
A cleaning head includes an end face that faces an inkjet print head to be cleaned. A supply opening and a discharge opening are spaced apart on the end face. A supply channel carries cleaning fluid to the supply opening. The discharge opening receives cleaning fluid that is to be conveyed away after having been emitted through the supply opening. The cleaning head emits a cleaning fluid jet through the supply opening with the cleaning fluid jet being emitted in a direction having a component that is directed towards the discharge opening so that the cleaning fluid can be conveyed away by suction through the discharge opening.
INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS AND CLEANING METHOD
An inkjet recording apparatus allows for cleaning. The inkjet recording apparatus includes an image forming section and a controller. The image forming section has a plurality of nozzles and forms an image on a recording medium by ejecting ink from the nozzles. The controller controls the image forming section. The nozzles eject the ink during the cleaning. The controller includes a determining section, and an adjusting section. The determining section determines whether or not the ink has been ejected from the nozzles. The adjusting section adjusts an ejection amount of the ink in a stepwise manner based on a determination result by the determining section.
Liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head that prints an image on a medium, by ejecting a liquid through nozzles, a transport belt that transports the medium, at a position opposite the liquid ejecting head, a moving mechanism that moves the transport belt in a width direction, and a control unit that controls the moving mechanism. The liquid ejecting head includes a first nozzle group and a second nozzle group. The control unit controls the moving mechanism such that a nozzle group performing the preliminary ejection which is an ejection of the liquid not uninvolved in printing among the first nozzle group and the second nozzle group is located at a position not facing the transport belt, and a nozzle group that does not perform the preliminary ejection is located at a position facing the transport belt.
Inkjet recording apparatus
An inkjet recording apparatus includes an ink ejection surface, a washing liquid storage portion, a washing liquid nozzle, a mesh sheet, and a sponge member. The washing liquid storage portion includes a supply surface adjacent to the ink ejection surface. The washing liquid nozzle includes a communicating hole that is communicated from a supply port formed in the supply surface to an inside of the washing liquid storage portion, and forms a concave meniscus by a surface of the washing liquid in the communicating hole. The mesh sheet is provided in close contact with an opposite rear surface of the supply surface, and has an opening that is smaller in size than an inner diameter of the communicating hole. The sponge member is provided in a compressed state in the inside of the washing liquid storage portion, presses the mesh sheet toward the opposite rear surface of the supply surface.
