A METHOD FOR IN-LINE TREATMENT OF A THREAD AND A SYSTEM THEREFORE COMPRISING A TREATMENT UNIT AND A CONTROL UNIT CONFIGURED TO DETERMINE IF A MAINTENANCE SEQUENCE IS NEEDED
20220048288 · 2022-02-17 · ·

A system for in-line treatment of thread for use with a thread consuming device is provided. The system includes a treatment unit including at least a first and a second print head each being configured to dispense one or more coating substances onto the at least one thread when activated; and a control unit configured to determine if a maintenance sequence is to be performed on at least the first print head, and if so schedule said maintenance sequence on at least the first print head. A method is further provided.

PRINT DEVICE

A print device includes a processor and a memory. The memory storing computer-readable instructions which, when executed by the processor, perform processes. The processes include covering processing controlling a cap into a covering state in which the cap covers a nozzle. The processes include first purge processing purging, in a state in which the cap is in the covering state and a supply valve is closed, an ink from the nozzle by operating a pump at a first rotation speed. The processes include injection processing injecting, after the first purge processing and in a state in which the cap is in the covering state and the supply valve is open, the cleaning liquid into the interior of the cap by operating the pump at a second rotation speed to cause the cleaning liquid to soak a nozzle face.

The controller: upon receiving a print job, determine whether only one of a first printer and a second printer is under cleaning; upon determining that the only one of the first printer and the second printer is under cleaning, analyze whether a print processing based on the print job is a first print processing in which printing is executable by any of the first printer and the second printer or a second print processing in which printing is to be executed by both the first printer and the second printer; and upon analyzing that the print processing based on the print job is the first print processing, drive the other one of the first printer and the second printer which is not under cleaning to execute the first print processing.

METHOD FOR CLEANING INK DISCHARGER OF INKJET HEAD

A waste liquid box management method sets a type of ink to be contained in a container, for a waste liquid box that includes a coupling portion coupled to a printer, the container containing ink discharged from the printer via the coupling portion, and a storage unit. The waste liquid box management method individually allocates different storage regions, in the storage unit, to a plurality of ink types, writes predetermined type specification data into a selected storage region, that is the storage region allocated to the ink type to be contained in the container, and inhibits writing to the storage region other than the selected storage region in a state in which data other than the type specification data is stored therein.

Liquid discharge apparatus, liquid discharge method, and medium storing program executable by liquid discharge apparatus

There is provided a liquid discharge apparatus including a discharge head including nozzles and actuators; a liquid detecting sensor; and a controller. The controller is configured to: cause the actuators to perform a discharge operation; calculate a discharge amount of the liquid discharged from each of the nozzles; determine the discharge amount of the liquid; and cause a first actuator corresponding to a first nozzle, whose discharge amount is less than a first predetermined amount, and a second actuator corresponding to a second nozzle, whose discharge amount is not less than the first predetermined amount and less than a second predetermined amount, to perform a flushing, without causing a third actuator corresponding to a third nozzle, whose discharge amount is not less than the second predetermined amount, to perform the flushing.

LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS, EMBROIDERY SYSTEM, METHOD OF CONTROLLING LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

A liquid discharge apparatus is to be coupled to a post-processing apparatus to perform post-processing using a linear medium such that the post-processing apparatus is disposed downstream from the liquid discharge apparatus in a conveyance direction of the linear medium. The liquid discharge apparatus includes a discharge head, a conveyance mechanism, a head driver, and control circuitry. The discharge head includes a nozzle to discharge droplets onto the linear medium to dye the linear medium. The conveyance mechanism conveys the linear medium in conjunction with the post-processing apparatus. The head driver drives the discharge head in conjunction with conveyance of the linear medium. The control circuitry controls the head driver and determines whether to execute maintenance of the discharge head based on a time required for the post-processing for each dyeing job.

HEAD CAP AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS

A head cap covers an inkjet type recording head. The head cap includes a cap housing and a cap cover. The cap housing has a liquid storage space opened upward. The cap cover is provided along an open end of the cap housing. The cap cover has an opening through which the recording head enters and leaves.

PRINTING APPARATUS HAVING FIRST HEAD AND SECOND HEAD THAT EJECT INK IN SAME COLOR

A printing apparatus includes: first and second heads; a carriage; and a control device. The control device is configured to perform: (a) selecting; (b) setting; and (c) executing. The (a) selecting sets one of the first and second heads as an active head. The (b) setting sets an operation mode to one of a plurality of modes including first and second modes. The (c) executing executes a printing operation under the operation mode. The printing operation is performed by ejecting ink from both the first and second heads in a state where the first mode is set as the operation mode. The printing operation is performed by ejecting ink from the active head without ejecting ink from a non-active head in a state where the second mode is set as the operation mode. The non-active head is a head other than the active head among the first and second heads.

A printer enables a user that commands a cleaning operation to know the cost for the ink used in the cleaning operation. A printer 2 has a printhead 7, a head maintenance mechanism 41 for cleaning the printhead 7, and a controller 60. The controller 60 determines whether or not the cleaning is cleaning commanded by an operator, and if the cleaning is cleaning commanded by the operator, displays the ink cost corresponding to the amount of ink used for the cleaning.
