Recording apparatus, control method, and storage medium
To normally perform a preliminary ejection after a cleaning process. Provided is a recording apparatus including: a recording head that includes an ejection component that ejects a liquid; a circulation unit configured to perform a circulation operation of circulating the liquid in a circulation route including the recording head; a cleaning mechanism that performs a cleaning process with respect to the recording head; and a preliminary ejection unit configured to perform a preliminary ejection operation of preliminarily ejecting the liquid from the ejection component. The cleaning mechanism performs the cleaning process in a state in which circulation of the liquid is stopped, and at least one of the circulation operation by the circulation unit and the preliminary ejection operation by the preliminary ejection unit is performed after the cleaning process.
Inkjet recording device including controller controlling valve to close air communication opening formed in ink storage portion in case of occurrence of abnormality
An inkjet recording device includes: a head including a nozzle configured to eject ink toward a recording medium; a storage portion storing therein ink and formed with an air communication opening allowing an interior of the storage portion to be communicated with an outside thereof; a valve movable between an opening position opening the air communication opening and a closing position closing the air communication opening; an actuator configured to move the valve; a state sensor configured to output a detection signal based on the state of the inkjet recording device; and a controller configured to perform: (a) determining, on the basis of the detection signal, whether the inkjet recording device has an abnormality; and (b) controlling, in a case where determination is made in (a) that the inkjet recording device has an abnormality, the actuator to move the valve to the closing position from the opening position.
INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROLLING METHOD
An inkjet printing apparatus includes a printing unit having ejection parts, each configured to eject ink by using a piezoelectric element to be displaced in response to a change in electric potential. The inkjet printing apparatus also includes a circulation unit, a determination unit, and a control unit. The circulation unit executes ink circulation in a circulation path inclusive of the printing unit. The determination unit ejects the ink from each ejection part, detects residual vibration generated at an ejection part due to ink ejection, and determines an ejection state of ink ejection at the ejection part based on the detected residual vibration. The inkjet printing apparatus determines a printing state of ink ejection in the printing unit based on the ejection state. The control unit causes the determination unit not to make the ejection state determination in parallel with causing the circulation unit to execute the ink circulation.
Liquid discharge apparatus
There is provided a liquid discharge apparatus including: a head including a nozzle surface; a wiper including a blade and a blade holder; a posture changer configured to change a posture of the blade to a first posture in which the blade makes contact with the nozzle surface and to a second posture which is different from the first posture; and a cleaner including a cleaning surface intersecting the nozzle surface. The blade in the first posture is configured to move in a first sliding direction relatively with respect to the head in a state in which the blade makes contact with the nozzle surface. The blade in the second posture is configured to move in a second sliding direction intersecting the first sliding direction relatively with respect to the cleaner in a state in which the blade makes contact with the cleaning surface.
Maintenance device and inkjet recording device
Provided is a maintenance device that performs maintenance of a recording head with a nozzle face on which an opening of a nozzle for ink discharge is provided. The maintenance device includes a scraper that scrapes ink that adheres to the nozzle face, and an ink receiver that receives ejected ink that is ejected through the nozzle and scraped ink that is scraped off by the scraper. The ink receiver includes a first face and a second face that are each inclined with respect to a horizontal plane. The ink receiver receives the ejected ink at least on the first face of the first face and the second face, and receives the scraped ink on the second face. A flowability of ink on the second face is greater than a flowability of ink on the second face.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a recording head, a cap, a tank, a pump, a third communication pipe and a controller. The cap forms a sealed space including an ejection port of the recording head. The tank is connected to the sealed space through a first communication pipe and generates a humidified air. The pump feeds the humidified air to the sealed space through the first communication pipe. The third communication pipe connects the pump and the sealed space.
