Ink-jet printer
An ink-jet printer including a conveyor, a carriage, a recording head, a power supply, an ink receiver, a command receiver, and a controller, is provided. The controller executes the steps of: determining a discharge ink amount that should be discharged to the ink receiver; raising a drive voltage to a first voltage when the discharge ink amount is less than a first threshold value, and raising the drive voltage to a second voltage when the discharge ink amount is the first threshold value or more; performing a flushing process; based on the flushing process after having raised the drive voltage to the second voltage having finished in the case of having raised the drive voltage to the second voltage, stepping down the drive voltage from the second voltage to the first voltage; and based on the flushing process having finished and on the drive voltage being the first voltage, performing a printing process.
Printhead cap for attenuating the drying of ink from a printhead during periods of printer inactivity
A capping station is configured for storing a printhead during printer inactivity to restore and preserve the operational status of the nozzles in the printhead. Each capping station has a receptacle having at least one wall and a floor configured to enclose a volume partially, and a sealing member mounted to an upper surface of the at least one wall of the receptacle so the sealing member extends away from the upper surface of the at least one wall. The sealing member has a surface that slopes toward the volume within the receptacle to direct fluid on the sloping surface of the sealing member into the volume within the receptacle.
PRINTING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME, AND TRANSPORTATION METHOD OF THE SAME
There is provided a printing apparatus. A cap caps an ink ejection surface of a printhead. An ink suction path is connected to the cap and sucks the ink in the cap. An ink tank stores the ink to be supplied to the printhead. An ink supply path connects the printhead to the ink tank. A first closing unit closes the ink suction path. A second closing unit closes the ink supply path. A control unit is able to execute a first control mode in which the first closing unit closes the ink suction path and a second control mode in which the second closing unit closes the ink supply path.
PRINTING APPARATUS
There is provided with a printing apparatus. An ink tank stores ink to be supplied to a printhead configured to eject ink. An ink supply path supplies ink from the ink tank to the printhead. A conveying unit conveys a print medium to the printhead. A cover member is arranged so as to be able to open and close with respect to the printing apparatus. A manual valve is arranged in a region through which the print medium conveyed by the conveying unit passes and can be switched between an opening state in which the ink tank and the printhead communicate and a closing state. An operating portion is arranged at a position which is exposed when the cover member is opened and can be operated to switch the manual valve.
INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS
An inkjet recording apparatus 1 includes a recording head 21, an ink supply mechanism 3, and a motor. The recording head 21 includes an ink discharge surface 22 and discharges an ink from the ink discharge surface 22 onto a recording medium. The ink supply mechanism 3 supplies the ink to the recording head 21. The motor is rotatable back and forth. The ink supply mechanism 3 includes a pump. The pump exerts a positive pressure or a negative pressure on the ink according to a rotation direction of the motor. The controller performs a cleaning operation for cleaning the ink discharge surface. The cleaning operation includes a purge operation and a follow operation.
Liquid ejecting apparatuses
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head that ejects liquid through a nozzle, a supply flow path that supplies liquid from a liquid container containing liquid to the liquid ejecting head, a liquid chamber provided in a buffer chamber disposed in the supply flow path, the liquid chamber being configured to change in volume, a liquid feeding unit of a reversible type disposed in the supply flow path between the liquid container and the liquid chamber, a control portion that controls driving of the liquid feeding unit, and a suction unit that suctions liquid through the nozzle. The control portion controls the liquid feeding unit to perform reverse feeding of the liquid from the liquid chamber to the liquid container before the suction unit suctions the liquid through the nozzle.
Liquid discharge device and method of controlling the same
In a method of controlling a liquid discharge device, the liquid discharge device includes a liquid discharge unit and at least one valve body. The liquid discharge unit discharges from a nozzle liquid supplied from at least one supply channel. The at least one valve body opens/closes the at least one supply channel. The method includes first control and second control. The first control causes a pressure to be applied to the liquid so as to supply the liquid to the at least one supply channel. The second control causes an external force to operate the at least one valve body operable in accordance with a pressure on a downstream side of the at least one valve body so as to adjust and hold a degree of opening of the at least one valve body in a range between a closed state and a full-open state.
Image Recording Apparatus
There is provided an image recording apparatus including: a head; a driving element; a controller configured to output, to the driving element, a driving signal having a first voltage level or a second voltage level greater than the first voltage level; and a moving mechanism causing one of the recording medium and the head to move relative to the other of the recording medium and the head. The controller sets the voltage level of the driving signal to be the first voltage level in a case that the controller causes the head to move relative to the recording medium at the first velocity; and the controller sets the voltage level of the driving signal to be the second voltage level in a case that the controller causes the head to move relative to the recording medium at the second velocity.
Liquid ejecting apparatus and pressure-regulating device
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid inflow unit provided in the liquid supply path which supplies a liquid to a liquid ejecting unit and into which the liquid flows, a liquid accommodation unit having a diaphragm section, a communication path through which the liquid inflow part and the liquid accommodation part communicate, and a pressure-regulating mechanism having an on-off valve which opens and closes the communication path in response to displacement of the diaphragm portion, and a pressing mechanism which puts the on-off valve in an open state regardless of the pressure in the liquid inflow unit by pressing the diaphragm portion.
