An axial direction of the liquid-phase channel intersects an axial direction of the main inkjet channel, and an axial direction of the gas-phase channel intersects the axial direction of the main inkjet channel. An end opening of the main inkjet channel is formed as a nozzle on the first surface.

Liquid storage container

A liquid storage container includes: a discharge port member including a discharge port through which liquid stored in a storage portion is discharged; a cover portion configured to be attachable to and detachable from the discharge port member and to be capable of opening and closing the discharge port; a liquid stop valve provided inside the discharge port member; and a protrusion provided inside the cover portion and configured to open the liquid stop valve in closing the cover portion. In the liquid storage container, the storage portion is sealable by at least one of a first sealing portion formed of a contact portion between the cover portion and the discharge port member and a second sealing portion formed of the liquid stop valve, and the first sealing portion and the second sealing portion are configured to be simultaneously unsealed.

Ink tank and image recording apparatus

An ink tank includes: a first liquid storage chamber; a second liquid storage chamber communicating with the first liquid storage chamber through a communication passage; an injector having an opening supplying liquid to the first liquid storage chamber; a cap movable between an open position and a closed position with respect to the injector; a slide member which is inserted so as to be vertically movable with respect to the opening of the injector, the slide member being moved downward by the cap in the closed position; a valve body which is vertically movably inserted in the communication passage and includes a first sealing member opening the communication passage by moving downward together with the slide member moved downward by the cap in the closed position; and an urging member always urging the valve body upward.

Ink jet recording apparatus, ink jet recording method, and ink composition

An ink jet recording apparatus includes an ink composition, an ink encasement in which the ink composition is encased, a recording head that ejects the ink composition, and a carriage configured to move the recording head back and forth. The carriage carries the ink encasement, with the ink encasement integrated with the carriage. The ink encasement has an ink fill port that opens and shuts as a port through which the ink composition is loaded. The ink composition contains a disperse colorant, with the volume-average particle diameter of the disperse colorant being 105.0 nm or less.

Ink-jet printing apparatus

An ink-jet printing apparatus includes an ink-cartridge mounting unit to which an ink cartridge having a first ink chamber containing ink is to be mounted, and a second ink chamber. The second ink chamber stores ink supplied from the first ink chamber. The ink-jet printing apparatus is configured such that, in a case where the ink cartridge is mounted to the ink-cartridge mounting unit, the second ink chamber can be viewed from outside of the ink-jet printing apparatus. An equation 0.5≤L≤d≤1.2 L is satisfied, where d is a length of the second ink chamber, and L is a length of the ink cartridge in a direction in which the ink cartridge is inserted into the ink-jet printing apparatus.

Cartridge and manufacturing method of cartridge

A cartridge detachably attachable to an apparatus body of an image forming apparatus that forms an image on a recording medium in which a memory unit is fixed by an inexpensive adhesive member that can control adhesion force. The cartridge includes: a memory; and a memory support member that supports the memory. The memory has a semiconductor device storing information related to a cartridge, a sealing material that protects the semiconductor device, and a cartridge electrical contact configured to be electrically connectable to a body electrical contact of the image forming apparatus body for transferring information on the semiconductor device to the image forming apparatus body. The sealing material and the memory support member contain the same type of a thermoplastic resin, the sealing material and the memory support member have bonding faces, and at least parts of the bonding faces are welded and fixed by a solvent.

Refill containers with pressurized fluid chambers

In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a refill container is described. The refill container includes a reservoir to house a volume of print compound and a chamber to house a pressurized fluid. A wall separates the reservoir from the chamber. A pressure release device of the refill container creates a fluid path between the chamber and the reservoir such that the pressurized fluid flows into the reservoir to mix with the volume of print compound. A trigger of the refill container activates the pressure release device.

Provided is a liquid storage body, including: a liquid storage bag configured to store a liquid containing precipitation components; a liquid introduction pipe arranged in the liquid storage bag; and a liquid discharge unit fixed at one end portion of the liquid storage bag and configured to discharge the liquid introduced from the liquid introduction pipe to a liquid ejection apparatus, in which the liquid introduction pipe includes a spacer portion including at least two liquid introduction ports at different positions in a height direction at a predetermined orientation, a convergence portion at which the liquids introduced from the at least two liquid introduction ports are converged with each other; and a flow channel configured to introduce the converged liquids to the liquid discharge unit.

Print materials replenishment

In some examples, a print materials container can include a dispense mechanism to dispense print materials directly to an in-situ reservoir of a printing device, a lock feature to engage a fill port during connection of the dispense mechanism to the fill port, and a valve integrated with the dispense mechanism for connecting the dispense mechanism to the fill port of the reservoir and comprising an output opening offset from a center axis of a tip of the dispense mechanism. The valve can open responsive to rotation of the valve opening with respect to the lock feature such that opposite openings align.

Inkjet printing apparatus and ink tank

An inkjet printing apparatus includes an ink tank that contains an ink to be supplied to a printing head that ejects the ink, the ink being injected from an ink bottle. The inkjet printing apparatus further includes an injection assistance member including a first passage and a second passage. The first passage is defined by a first upper end portion opening toward the outside of the ink tank and a first lower end portion opening toward the inside of the ink tank. The second passage is defined by a second upper end portion opening toward the outside of the ink tank and projecting upward less than the first upper end portion and a second lower end portion opening toward the inside of the ink tank and larger than the first lower end portion in terms of a distance from the bottom surface of the ink tank.
