The attachment section includes an inlet through which the liquid from the attached liquid storage container flows, a protrusion having a connection port, a seal provided around the protrusion, and an air communication path communicating with the connection port and an air communication port that communicates with the air. The connection port enters the communication path of the attached liquid storage container, and the seal comes into contact with the liquid storage container attached to the attachment section.

INKJET PRINTER

An inkjet printer includes a printer body and an ink container provided in the printer body. The ink container includes an ink containing portion, a frame portion and a cover portion. A top portion of the ink containing portion includes a port. The cover portion is pivotally connected to the frame portion and pivotable between an opened position, in which the port is exposed, and a closed position, in which the cover portion covers the port, with respect to the frame portion. The cover portion includes a sealing member provided corresponding to the port on an opposing surface of the cover portion. When the cover portion is in the closed position, the sealing member seals the port, and when the cover portion is in the opened position, the sealing member is separated from the port.

Print liquid supply units

Examples of a print liquid supply unit are described herein. In some examples, the print liquid supply unit includes a first housing component including an alignment feature. In some examples, the print liquid supply unit includes sensor circuitry. In some examples, the print liquid supply unit includes a sensor support secured to the first housing component with the alignment feature.

An ink jet recording apparatus includes an ink composition, an ink encasement in which the ink composition is encased, a recording head that ejects the ink composition, and a carriage configured to move the recording head back and forth. The carriage carries the ink encasement, with the ink encasement integrated with the carriage. The ink encasement has an ink fill port that opens and shuts as a port through which the ink composition is loaded and also has a detector that detects the amount of ink composition encased. The ink composition contains a surfactant with an HLB of 6 or less.

As a protruding portion comprised by the liquid storage unit is inserted into a concave portion formed in the movable portion while being in contact therewith, the movable portion moves from a first position to a second position higher than the first position.

A liquid-consuming apparatus includes: a tank including a liquid storage chamber which stores a liquid, an inlet formed in a surface of the tank, and an outlet through which the liquid from the liquid storage chamber flows; a cap which is movable between a first position and a second position; a cover which is movable relative to the tank between a closed position and an open position; and a holding member which is connected to the cap and which holds the cap at the second position. The cap at the second position or the holding member is configured to obstruct a movement of the cover from the open position to the closed position.
