Aqueous ink, ink cartridge and ink jet recording method
Provided is an aqueous ink for ink jet, containing a resin particle, and a cyclic amide-based, water-soluble organic solvent. The resin particle has a core portion that contains a cyano group-containing unit, and a shell portion that contains an aromatic group-containing unit, an anionic group-containing unit and a unit derived from a crosslinking agent, but free of cyano group-containing unit. Ink jet recording using the aqueous ink can record images that excel in abrasion resistance and gloss clarity.
Liquid discharge device
A printer is provided with a mounting portion and an arm. A head is mounted on the mounting portion. The head discharges a liquid. The arm can move between a fixed position and a released position. In the fixed position, the arm fixes the head mounted on the mounting portion to the mounting portion in a first direction, a second direction, and a third direction. In the released state, the arm unfixes the head from the mounting portion.
Liquid cartridge provided with liquid supply portion having guide groove
A liquid cartridge configured to be inserted into a cartridge attachment section includes: a cartridge body having a liquid storage chamber, and a liquid supply portion configured to supply the liquid stored in the liquid storage chamber to an outside. The liquid supply portion includes: a front end face facing frontward, an outer peripheral surface extending rearward from the front end face, and at least one guide provided at the outer peripheral surface. Each of the at least one guide is guided by corresponding at least one projection of the cartridge attachment section during attachment of a liquid supply tube of the cartridge attachment section to the liquid supply portion at a time of attachment of the liquid cartridge to the cartridge attachment section. Each of the at least one guide includes: a first guide portion, and a second guide portion.
Method of installing printhead in print module
A method of installing a printhead in a print module includes the steps of: positioning the printhead in a nest of the print module; moving first and second ink couplings towards the nest and into engagement with complementary first and second ink ports positioned at opposite ends of the printhead; and moving a depressor towards the nest and into urging engagement with a portion of the printhead positioned between the first and second ink ports. The first ink coupling, the second ink coupling and the depressor are moved simultaneously, linearly and parallel to each other, thereby to datum the printhead against the nest.
Liquid discharge device
Aspects of a disclosure relates to a liquid discharge device enables previously disabled liquid discharge through a head after a cartridge including a first liquid chamber is replaced and before the liquid level in a second liquid chamber of a tank reaches a predetermined level or higher. Another aspects of the disclosure relates to a liquid discharge device that deactivates an alarm after a cartridge including a first liquid chamber is replaced and before the liquid level in a second liquid reaches a predetermined level or higher.
LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head ejecting a liquid to a medium, a wiping mechanism wiping a liquid ejection surface of the liquid ejecting head and including a wiper portion that wipes the liquid ejection surface by moving in a direction along the liquid ejection surface, an electric portion including a substrate, the electronic portion being a part related to control of the apparatus, and a power supply portion as a power supply source, in which a moving direction of the wiper portion is a direction intersecting a surface of the substrate, and at least part of the electric portion and at least part of the power supply portion overlap part of the wiping mechanism in the moving direction of the wiper portion.
CONTAINER
A container for accommodating a content of powder or a liquid includes an accommodating portion for accommodating the content; a top end portion including a discharging portion and a shielding member, wherein the discharging portion includes a discharge opening for discharging the content to an outside of the container and a passage for permitting passing of the content toward the discharge opening, and the shielding member shields the discharge opening; and a cap detachably mounted to the top end portion, wherein the cap includes a main body portion covering at least a part of the top end portion and a fixing portion fixed to the top end portion and connected to the main body portion, and wherein the main body portion of the cap is separated from the fixing portion by being rotated about a rotational axis thereof relative to the top end portion.
LIQUID STORAGE CONTAINER
Disclosed is a liquid storage container comprising a liquid reservoir part holding liquid, an air communication part including an air communication port communicating with the atmosphere, an inner port communicating the liquid reservoir part with the air communication part, a seal member closing the inner port from the inside of the air communication part, a first biasing member biasing the seal member in a first direction from a first position away from the inner port toward a second position of closing the inner port, and a pressure receiving part including a protruding portion protruding from the air communication port to the outside of the air communication part, and joined to the seal member or the first biasing member. The seal member is separated from the inner port when the protruding portion of the pressure receiving part is pushed in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
Printing fluid cartridge, printing apparatus, and use of printing fluid cartridge
A printing fluid cartridge includes a front face oriented toward a first direction, a printing fluid supply portion positioned at the front face, a rear face positioned opposite the front face and oriented toward a second direction opposite the first direction, at least one electrical interface positioned between the front face and the rear face, and an engagement surface facing in the second direction. The at least one electrical interface is offset from the printing supply portion with respect to a third direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction. The at least one electrical interface is positioned closer to the front face than the engagement surface is, and the at least one electrical interface and the engagement surface intersect a plane which is parallel with the first direction, the second direction, and the third direction.
Liquid jetting apparatus
A liquid jetting apparatus includes a casing, a tank formed with a liquid storage chamber which stores liquid, an inlet which allows the liquid to be poured into the liquid storage chamber, and a liquid outflow channel which allows the liquid to flow out from the liquid storage chamber, a conveying mechanism which conveys a recording medium along a conveying path extending in a front-rear direction, a carriage which moves in a left-right direction, and a head mounted on the carriage and having a nozzle which jets the liquid onto the recording medium conveyed by the conveying mechanism. The tank, the conveying path, and the carriage are arranged inside the casing, the tank is arranged outside the conveying path in the left-right direction, and at least a part of the tank is arranged inside both ends of a movement area of the carriage in the left-right direction.
