Logic circuitry

This disclosure describes integrated circuits which may be provided in logic circuitry packages and/or replaceable print apparatus components with print material reservoirs. An integrated circuit or logic circuitry package for a replaceable print apparatus component comprises an interface to communicate with a print apparatus logic circuit and at least one logic circuit.

LIQUID EJECTION HEAD

A liquid ejection head includes an ejection-port formed member including liquid ejection ports, a substrate including liquid supply ports for supplying liquid to the ejection ports and a partition between the liquid supply ports, and a substrate supporting member. The liquid supply ports extend along the longitudinal direction of the substrate when viewed from a position facing the main surface of the substrate. The liquid supply ports are arrayed along the lateral direction of the substrate when viewed from the position facing the main surface. The partition includes a non-contact portion that is not in contact with the supporting member and a contact portion that is in contact with the supporting member. Of the liquid supply ports, adjacent liquid supply ports communicate with each other in the lateral direction through a gap between the non-contact portion and the supporting member, and liquid flows through the gap.

Interfaces to connect external print fluid supplies with print fluid reservoirs

An apparatus may include an electrical interface to access a memory. Based on data receivable from the memory, an actuator may allow fluid flow from a print fluid supply external to the apparatus to a print fluid reservoir of the apparatus.

Logic circuitry package

A logic circuitry package for a replaceable print apparatus component includes an analog sensor cell block with a plurality of sensor cells, analog control circuitry to bias and control the analog sensor cell block, an interface to communicate with a print apparatus logic circuit, a dedicated bit field that indicates whether the logic circuitry package is in a power saving mode, and at least one logic circuit. The at least one logic circuit may be configured to receive, via the interface, a request to cause the analog sensor cell block to provide sensor information for at least one sensor measurement; and selectively enable and disable power to the analog control circuitry based on the request and a value of the dedicated bit field.

Logic circuitry package

A logic circuitry package for a replaceable print apparatus component includes an interface to communicate with a print apparatus logic circuit, and at least one logic circuit to receive, via the interface, requests corresponding to different sensor IDs with the component connected to the apparatus. The logic circuit is to transmit, via the interface, a digital value in response to each request. The digital values corresponding to the different sensor IDs are distinct.

Group reference

In an example, a print system is described and includes a supply interface to form electrical communication with a container of print fluid and a controller to retrieve data from a machine-readable medium coupled to the container, identify a container group identifier based on the retrieved data, and set a group flag based on a comparison of the container group identifier with data representing a group reference.

Electrical contacts coupled to guide structures

In an example, a print component includes a guide structure. The example guide structure includes a recess to receive a print material container and a guideway with a guide wall to support rotation of the print material container. Upon rotation of the print material container, an electrical contact of the print material container moves towards an electrical contact coupled to the guide structure of the print component. In another example, a container includes a housing, a material transfer interface, and a mechanical interface. In that example, the mechanical interface includes a guide structure that defines a protrusion and a guideway to allow the container to rotate within a recess defined by a receptacle shell. Upon rotation of the container, an electrical contact coupled to the guide structure moves towards an electrical contact on the receptacle shell.

Information storage system including a plurality of terminals

A toner container includes a container body, an opening, a cover, a toner discharge port, a shutter, a cylindrical structure, protrusions, and an identifier. The shutter is attached to the cover and includes a main shutter covering the toner discharge port. The main shutter moves between a closed position to close the toner discharge port and an open position to open the toner discharge port. The protrusions are on both sides of the cover and protrude in a direction orthogonal to a toner container mounting direction. The identifier is on the cover to indicate a toner color. The cylindrical structure's leading end is downstream of leading ends of the protrusions in the mounting direction. The main shutter's leading end is downstream of the protrusions' leading ends in the mounting direction when the main shutter is in the closed position. The protrusions are downstream of the identifier in the mounting direction.

LIQUID CONTAINER AND LIQUID EJECTION SYSTEM

There is provided a technology which can improve the mounting posture of a liquid ejection apparatus when mounted to a liquid container. The liquid container is flexible and includes a storage portion configured to store the liquid and a connection member. The connection member is provided with a liquid outlet which is inserted with a liquid introduction portion, a container-side electrical connector which makes electrical contact with an apparatus-side electrical connection unit while receive at least +Z direction force from the apparatus-side electrical connection unit, a first receiver configured to receive a first positioning portion, a second receiver configured to receive a second positioning portion, and a recess which houses a protrusion of the case. The recess and the container-side electrical connector are formed at positions which at least partially overlap each other when viewed from a Z direction in a mounting state. In the mounting state, the width of the liquid container in the Z directions is larger than the width in the Y directions and the width in the X directions.

LIQUID CARTRIDGE CAPABLE OF REDUCING LEAKAGE OF LIQUID FROM LIQUID STORAGE CHAMBER

A liquid cartridge includes: a cartridge casing having a liquid storage chamber; a first wall; a second wall; and an air communication passage. The first wall is positioned upward relative to the liquid storage chamber. The second wall is positioned upward relative to the first wall. The air communication passage has a first communication hole in communication with the liquid storage chamber and a communication opening open to an atmosphere. The air communication passage includes: an air chamber defined by the first wall and the second wall and in communication with the liquid storage chamber through the first communication hole; a second communication hole formed in the second wall; and a labyrinth path. The labyrinth path is positioned upward relative to the air chamber, and has one end in communication with the second communication hole and another end in communication with the communication opening.
