Liquid cartridge capable of reducing leakage of liquid from liquid storage chamber
A liquid cartridge includes: a cartridge casing having a liquid storage chamber; a first wall; a second wall; and an air communication passage. The first wall is positioned upward relative to the liquid storage chamber. The second wall is positioned upward relative to the first wall. The air communication passage has a first communication hole in communication with the liquid storage chamber and a communication opening open to an atmosphere. The air communication passage includes: an air chamber defined by the first wall and the second wall and in communication with the liquid storage chamber through the first communication hole; a second communication hole formed in the second wall; and a labyrinth path. The labyrinth path is positioned upward relative to the air chamber, and has one end in communication with the second communication hole and another end in communication with the communication opening.
Recording apparatus
A printer includes a restrictor that is configured to switch between a restricted state that restricts a scanner unit from pivoting in an opening direction from a closed state in which the scanner unit is closed with respect to the casing, and a free state that allows the scanner unit to pivot in the opening direction from the closed state, and that enters the restricted state when the panel unit is set to a first orientation and enters the free state when the panel unit in the first orientation pivots by a predetermined angle to be in a second orientation.
LIQUID CARTRIDGE INCLUDING CIRCUIT BOARD POSITIONED BETWEEN FIRST PROTRUSION AND SECOND PROTRUSION PROVIDED ON TOP WALL OF HOUSING
A liquid cartridge includes: a housing including first and second protrusions; and a circuit board including an electrode. The first protrusion is positioned rearward but the second protrusion is positioned forward relative to the circuit board. When viewed in a width direction crossing a gravitational direction, an outline of the liquid cartridge between a first point and a second point is lower than an imaginary line. The imaginary line passes through the first point on the first protrusion and the second point on the second protrusion. A distance between a front edge of the electrode and the first point is smaller than a distance between the front edge and the second point. A dimension between a front end and a rear end of the second protrusion is greater than a distance between a frontmost end of the housing and the front end of the second protrusion.
MAINTENANCE JIG, LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS, HEAD CLEANING METHOD, UNIT, AND LIQUID DISCHARGE SYSTEM
A maintenance jig includes a protector and an opening. The protector is configured to be attached to a head that has a nozzle surface including a nozzle row to discharge liquid or a head holder that holds the head. The protector is configured to protect the nozzle row. The opening is adjacent to the protector in a lateral direction of the nozzle row intersecting a longitudinal direction of the nozzle row. A distance between an end of the protector in the longitudinal direction of the nozzle row and the nozzle surface is larger than a distance between a portion of the protector other than the end of the protector in the longitudinal direction and the nozzle surface when the maintenance jig is attached to the head or the head holder.
PRINTER
A printer includes an ink tank, a print head performing printing by using ink in the ink tank; a light source irradiating an inside of the ink tank with light; a sensor detecting light incident from the ink tank during a period in which the light source emits light; and a processing section detecting an amount of ink in the ink tank based on an output of the sensor. The light source is turned on by an amount of light based on a result of the sensor detecting light reflected from an area where the ink does not exist.
LIQUID-SEALED CARTRIDGE AND LIQUID SENDING METHOD
Disclosed is a liquid-sealed cartridge that includes: a liquid storage portion configured to store liquid; a flow path in which the liquid stored in the liquid storage portion flows; and a liquid sealing portion configured to seal the liquid in the liquid storage portion, in which the liquid sealing portion has an outer circumferential portion and a center-side low strength portion disposed closer to a center than the outer circumferential portion, and the center-side low strength portion is broken when pressed, to allow the liquid in the liquid storage portion to flow in the flow path.
Liquid reservoir container and liquid ejection apparatus
Provided is a technique that enables openings for injecting liquid to be sealed with a simple and low-cost configuration. A liquid reservoir container includes: a reservoir portion configured to contain liquid in an inside of the reservoir portion and having multiple openings communicating with the inside; a supply portion connected to at least one of the openings and configured to supply liquid to the reservoir portion from a tank reserving the liquid via a flow path; and a sheet member. The liquid reservoir container supplies liquid reserved in the reservoir portion to an ejecting portion configured to eject liquid, and the sheet member is attached to the reservoir portion so as to seal an opening to which the supply portion is not connected of the multiple openings.
Organic solvent sealing tape
A fluidic ejection cartridge and protective tape therefor. The fluidic ejection cartridge has a cartridge body for an organic solvent-based fluid having a cover closing a first end thereof, an ejection head on a second end thereof opposite the first end, and side walls attached to the first and second ends between the first and second ends, wherein the side walls comprise a first side wall, a second side wall opposite the first side wall, a first end wall attached to the first and second side walls, and a second end wall opposite the first end wall attached to the first and second side walls. A removable tape is attached to a nozzle plate of the ejection head and to a portion of the first side wall, wherein the removable tape comprises a polymeric backing film and a platinum-cured silicone adhesive.
LEVER, LIQUID STORAGE APPARATUS, AND LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS
A lever provided in a liquid storage apparatus that includes a liquid filling port, the lever including a first member that is pivotable relative to an apparatus body of the liquid storage apparatus, a second member that is pivotable relative to the first member, and a flexible sealing plug that seals the liquid filling port, the first member including a lever body on which the sealing plug is mounted, a first attaching portion provided on a first end of the lever body, the first attaching portion configured to pivotably engage with the apparatus body, and a second attaching portion provided on a second end of the lever body, the second attaching portion configured to pivotably engage with the second member.
LIQUID CONSUMING APPARATUS
There is provided a liquid consuming apparatus including: a liquid consuming section; a tank having a liquid storage chamber and an inlet port; a cap; and a casing having a cover movable with respect to the tank between a closed position and an open positon. The cover has an inner surface and a projection projected from the inner surface toward the tank. The projection of the cover is provided with a pressing portion facing the outer surface of the cap at a predetermined spacing distance, under a condition that the liquid consuming apparatus is in a normal state in which the cover is in the closed position and that the cap is installed in the inlet port, and the pressing portion abuts firstly against the outer surface, under a condition that the cap is moved in the insertion direction for allowing the cap to be removed from the inlet port.
