LIQUID CONSUMPTION APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF LIQUID CONSUMPTION APPARATUS

A control unit of a liquid consumption apparatus performs determination processing that determines whether or not each of a first housing container and a second housing container is an unsuitable container that does not satisfy a use condition, performs switching decision that decides switching of a supply source that supplies a liquid composition to a liquid consumption unit to the second housing container when the first housing container is determined to be the unsuitable container while the liquid composition is being supplied from the first housing container to the liquid consumption unit, and continues supply of the liquid composition from the first housing container to the liquid consumption unit regardless of whether or not the second housing container is the unsuitable container until when the switching decision is performed while the liquid composition is being supplied from the first housing container to the liquid consumption unit.

Print Liquid Supply Interconnect in Hose-Fed Housing

In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, at least one print liquid supply interconnected is described. Each print liquid supply interconnect includes a housing movable relative to a printer and tethered via a feed hose to the printer. The housing includes at least one needle to be inserted in a print liquid supply to allow print liquid to move between the print liquid supply and an ejection device and two keyed slots disposed on either side of a first needle to gate insertion to a print liquid supply with protrusions that match the two keyed slots. The housing also includes a guide feature adjacent the first needle extending between a first keyed slot and the first needle and an electrical interface to establish a data transmission path between the print liquid supply and the ejection device, the electrical interface disposed between the first needle and a second keyed slot.

Transform map at printer cartridge

A transform wrapper is stored on a memory device and the memory device may be included in a printer cartridge. The transform wrapper may dynamically build a transform map for a printer based on metadata stored at the memory device. The metadata may indicate at least one of a type of depositing material, transform map, print media and printer.

LIQUID CARTRIDGE

A liquid cartridge includes a first surface, a second surface spaced apart from the first surface, and a third surface extending between the first surface and the second surface, with a liquid outlet through the first surface. A circuit board is mounted on the third surface. A locking mechanism includes a locking surface that extends above the third surface, and a liquid detection mechanism includes a light access portion. The light access portion is disposed between the circuit board and the locking surface, and the circuit board is disposed between the first surface and the light access portion.

CARTRIDGE AND LIQUID EJECTION SYSTEM

A cartridge mountable on a liquid ejection device is provided. The liquid ejection device includes a mounting section, an air supplying portion including an air supplying passage, and a detection section configured to detect an error when a predetermined air pressure is not reached even if air is supplied from the air supplying portion. The cartridge includes a case including a communication portion and a first leakage limiting portion that limits leakage of air supplied from the air supplying portion into an atmosphere. The communication portion includes a second leakage limiting portion that limits leakage of the air supplied from the air supplying portion into the case through the communication portion.

Liquid cartridge

A liquid cartridge includes a chamber, a liquid outflow path, a circuit board, a first surface and a second surface. The chamber stores liquid. The liquid outflow path extends from the chamber to an outlet formed at the liquid outflow path. The outlet is to communicate with an exterior of the liquid cartridge and faces frontward. The circuit board is disposed rearward relative to the outlet. The first surface faces at least upwardly. The second surface faces at least rearwardly. The circuit board includes at least one of the first surface and the second surface.

Liquid cartridge

A liquid cartridge includes a liquid chamber with a liquid outlet configured to supply the liquid from an interior of the chamber to an exterior of the chamber. An actuator is movable between a first position in which the liquid outlet is closed, and a second position in which the liquid outlet is open. A detector is positioned in the chamber, and is movable from a restricted position to a released position in response to movement of the actuator from the first to the second position. The detector is movable from the released position to the restricted position in response to movement of the actuator from the second to the first position.

In an example, an apparatus includes a container to hold a quantity of a consumable resource. A mechanical drive coupling is attached to the container. The mechanical drive coupling includes a bore and a locking mechanism integrated into the bore. The locking mechanism locks the container to a drive mechanism when the bore and the drive mechanism are rotatably engaged.

Replaceable item authentication

A print substance cartridge for a printing device includes a supply of print substance for the printing device, a non-volatile memory, and logic. The memory stores authentication values by which the print substance cartridge is authenticated by the printing device, and/or a cryptographic key from which a plurality of authentication values are able to be generated within the print substance cartridge. The memory stores hash values corresponding to the authentication values and by which the authentication values are verifiable by the printing device. The logic is to, in response to a request from the printing device for one of the authentication values and including an identifier, provide the authentication value associated with the identifier to the printing device. The logic is to, in response to a request from the printing device for one or more hash values of the hash values, provide the requested one or more hash values.

Board, liquid accommodation container, and printing system

In a board that includes a plurality of contact portions that are arranged to contact corresponding apparatus-side terminals when the board is mounted in a printing apparatus, some contact portions are disposed in a first region, and the remaining contact portions are disposed in a second region. The some contact portions include a first contact portion, a second contact portion, a third contact portion, and a fourth contact portion. The remaining contact portions include a fifth contact portion. The some contact portions are arranged in a first pattern in the first region and the remaining contact portions are arranged in a second pattern in the second region, and the first pattern is asymmetrical to the second pattern with respect to a first virtual line.
