Liquid supply apparatus, liquid storage tank, and liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid supply apparatus includes a liquid storage tank in communication with a liquid ejecting head that ejects liquid and a cartridge configured to be detachably provided to the liquid storage tank. The liquid storage tank includes an atmosphere communication portion in communication with the atmosphere and a first connecting portion that, in a state where the cartridge is attached to the liquid storage tank, enables the cartridge to be in liquid communication with the liquid storage tank. The liquid storage tank also includes a second connecting portion that, in the state where the cartridge is attached to the liquid storage tank, is connected to the cartridge so as to be liquid-tight with the cartridge and enables the cartridge to be in gaseous communication with the atmosphere communication portion.
PRINTING FLUID CIRCULATION
An example printing fluid circulation system includes a first circuit to circulate a printing fluid through a printhead in a first direction and a second circuit to circulate the printing fluid through the printhead in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The first circuit is activated during a first mode to circulate the printing fluid from a first reservoir to a second reservoir. The second circuit is activated during a second mode different from the first mode to circulate the printing fluid from the first reservoir to the second reservoir.
TANK UNIT AND LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS
A tank unit includes a first inlet portion via which liquid supplied from a liquid container flows in, a first chamber configured to store the liquid that flows in via the first inlet portion, a first opening-to-atmosphere portion configured to open an inside of the first chamber to atmosphere, an outlet flow passage to which one end is connected to the first chamber, a second chamber connected to the other end of the outlet flow passage and configured to store the liquid supplied from the first chamber, a second opening-to-atmosphere portion configured to open an inside of the second chamber to atmosphere, and an on-off valve configured to open and close the outlet flow passage. The first inlet portion is connected to the first chamber via an opening portion at some midpoint in a vertical direction of the first chamber.
SUBSTRATE TREATING APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SUBSTRATE TREATING APPARATUS
The inventive concept provides a substrate treating apparatus. The substrate treating apparatus includes a head unit configured to discharge an ink to a substrate; a supply unit configured to supply the ink to the head unit and including a reservoir having an inner space; and a pressure adjusting unit configured to adjust a pressure of the inner space, and wherein the pressure adjusting unit comprises: a first pressure adjusting unit; and a second pressure adjusting unit in which a size for changing a pressure of the inner space per unit time is greater than the first pressure adjusting unit.
LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS AND LIQUID EJECTING HEAD
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head that has an ejection surface including a first nozzle row configured to eject a first ink and a second nozzle row configured to eject a second ink. The liquid ejecting head is configured to be held in a first posture in which the ejection surface is inclined with respect to a horizontal plane. The dynamic surface tension of the first ink is higher than the dynamic surface tension of the second ink. In the first posture, the first nozzle row is positioned above the second nozzle row with respect to a gravity direction.
LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS
A liquid ejection apparatus includes: an ejection unit that ejects from an ejection port a liquid in a pressure chamber communicating with the ejection port; a first flow channel that allows for communication between the pressure chamber and a liquid supply unit; a second flow channel communicating with the pressure chamber; a liquid transportation chamber communicating with a connection flow channel communicating with the first flow channel and the second flow channel; a liquid transportation unit that flows the liquid in the liquid transportation chamber in a predetermined direction by expanding and contracting the liquid transportation chamber with application of a driving voltage including a step-up waveform and a step-down waveform; and a control unit that performs control such that a liquid ejection timing does not coincide with a voltage application period in which one of the step-up and step-down waveforms that has a greater voltage change rate is applied.
Muzzle for printhead assembly
A cap for a printhead device including a main body that includes a side wall, a top wall, and a bottom wall, the top wall and the bottom wall in a facing relation to one another so that a printhead device is held between the top and bottom walls, a vent seal disposed within an opening in the top wall, a nozzle plate seal disposed within an opening in the bottom wall, and a nozzle plate seal retainer that holds the nozzle plate seal within the opening in the bottom wall.
Ink tank for liquid chemical discharging apparatus and liquid chemical discharging apparatus including the same
An ink tank for a liquid chemical discharging apparatus configured to prevent equipment failure and improve durability by preventing scattering and backflow of a liquid chemical is described. The ink tank for a liquid chemical discharging apparatus includes: a liquid chemical receiving portion in which a liquid chemical is stored; a liquid chemical discharge port configured to supply the liquid chemical to an inkjet head; a pressure control port configured to control pressure of the liquid chemical receiving portion; and a partition wall provided in the liquid chemical receiving portion and configured to partition the liquid chemical receiving portion.
METHOD FOR FILLING AN INK CARTRIDGE AND A FILLING STATION IMPLEMENTING SAID METHOD
A method for filling an ink cartridge for a printer in an ink-filling station. The type of cartridge to be filled is determined and information associated with the cartridge to be filled is sought in a database. The cartridge is placed in the station. The cartridge includes a wall separating a reservoir of the cartridge from the outside. An opening passing through the wall from the outside to the reservoir is pierced, the position of the opening depends on the information. The cartridge is filled by injecting ink through the opening under ink-injection conditions dependent on the information. The opening is sealed by cooling a deposit of molten plastics material in the opening under sealing conditions dependent on the information. An internal reservoir is taken to a set pressure by blowing or sucking air to pressurize or depressurize the internal reservoir.
FRAME, CARTRIDGE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FRAME
A first supporting member includes a first engaging portion and a second engaging portion that respectively engage with a first engaged portion and a second engaged portion that are provided in a second supporting member. The first engaging portion and the second engaging portion are configured to apply force in directions opposite to the directions in which the first engaged portion and the second engaged portion move when an opening opens.
