Liquid cartridge
A liquid cartridge includes a first surface, a second surface spaced apart from the first surface, and a third surface extending between the first surface and the second surface, with a liquid outlet through the first surface. A circuit board is mounted on the third surface. A locking mechanism includes a locking surface that extends above the third surface, and a liquid detection mechanism includes a light access portion. The light access portion is disposed between the circuit board and the locking surface, and the circuit board is disposed between the first surface and the light access portion.
Image forming apparatus and computer-readable storage medium
An image forming apparatus, having a first container with a first compartment, a second container with a second compartment, a recorder, a display, and a controller, is provided. The controller controls the display to display a first screen and a second screen. The first screen contains a first object having a form that reflects an amount of a colorant in the first compartment and a second object having a form that reflects an amount of the colorant in the second compartment. The second screen contains a third object having a form that reflects one of the amount of the colorant in the first compartment, the amount of the colorant in the second compartment, and a total amount of the colorant in the first compartment and the second compartment.
Liquid residual-amount detecting device
A liquid residual-amount detecting device includes an optical sensor having a pair of a light emitting portion and a light receiving portion; and a plurality of liquid cartridges, each having a containing portion, a float disposed in the containing portion, and a light shielding portion displaced on a path that crosses an optical path of detection light in synchronization with displacement of the float, wherein the light shielding portions each having a size such that a light amount of the detection light, which the light receiving portion receives, cannot be made smaller than a predetermined light amount by alone; and wherein when the float is at a highest position, they are disposed to be aligned in a direction crossing the optical path so as to shield the optical path, and the light amount, which the light receiving portion receives, is made smaller than the predetermined light amount.
LIQUID CARTRIDGE
A liquid cartridge is configured to be inserted into a liquid consuming apparatus in a first direction along a horizontal direction against an urging force directed in a second direction opposite the first direction, and thereby to be mounted to the liquid consuming apparatus. The liquid cartridge is configured to pivot about a pivot center in the liquid consuming apparatus. The liquid cartridge includes a rear face, and the rear face includes a first portion and a second portion positioned further in an upward direction than the first portion. The first portion includes a portion positioned further in a downward direction than the pivot center, and the first portion is positioned further in the first direction than the second portion.
Inkjet Ink System for Handling High Solid Particles Loaded Inks
The application describes an ink delivery system for an inkjet printer. The system includes a first ink tank operative to supply ink to at least one inkjet printhead and a second ink tank operative to receive ink flown through at least one printhead and not used by at least one printhead. The ink for printing is drawn by low pressure from a first tank through the printhead to a second ink tank. Each of the ink tanks includes a cylindrical tubular segment and a segment with a frustoconical inner section.
Liquid cartridge
A liquid cartridge includes a chamber configured to store liquid therein, with a liquid outlet configured to supply the liquid from an interior of the chamber to an exterior of the chamber. A detector is positioned in the chamber so as to be rotatable between a released position and a restricted position. The detector has a detection portion and a restriction portion with a first contact surface defining a first length. A restriction member includes a second contact surface that defines a second length greater than the first length. The restriction member is movable straightly between a first position in which the first and second contact surfaces contact one another, a second position in which the first and second contact surfaces do not contact one another, and a third position between the first and second positions in which the first and second contact surfaces contact one another.
Liquid cartridge
A liquid cartridge includes a first surface and a second surface facing a particular direction, with a liquid outlet through the first surface. A circuit board is mounted on the second surface, and a liquid detection mechanism including a light access portion extends above the second surface further than the circuit board in the particular direction.
INK SUPPLY DEVICE AND INKJET RECORDING DEVICE
In accordance with an embodiment, an ink supply device comprises an ink storage section, a float and a floating position detection device. The ink storage section is connected with an inkjet head, and stores ink to be supplied to the inkjet head. The float is arranged in the ink storage section in a floatable manner in response to a height of a liquid surface of the ink. The floating position detection device comprises a detection target arranged on the float, and a target detection section which is arranged in the ink storage section and detects that the detection target approaches. The target detection section is arranged on a wall substantially orthogonal to an axial direction of a rotating shaft of the ink storage section. An inkjet recording device of the embodiment comprises an inkjet head configured to jet ink to an image receiving medium, and the ink supply device.
Vented reservoirs with floats for print agents
In example implementations, a storage apparatus is provided. The storage apparatus includes a sealed reservoir partially filled with a print agent. A float is partially submerged in the print agent. A weight is coupled to a submerged portion of the float. A vent is coupled to the float and an opening in the sealed reservoir. A valve is coupled to an unsubmerged portion of the float.
The liquid cartridge includes a lower face, and the lower face includes a first portion and a second portion which are positioned further in the second direction than the pivot center. The second portion is positioned further in the second direction than the first portion and is positioned further in the upward direction than the first portion.
